Mail delivery at this location has been consistently unreliable. Misdelivered mail has become a regular occurrence, and for an extended period, the clerk assigned to this office demonstrated unprofessional behavior & a lack of basic postal knowledge. Services as simple as issuing a Certificate of Mailing, one of the simplest tasks aside from selling postage, were repeatedly mishandled. When attempting to complete a postal survey regarding these issues, the system returned a “zip code not found” message, which only added to the difficulty of reporting concerns. It is important to note that the gentleman currently covering the office (12-6-25) is knowledgeable, professional, & capable. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the previous three clerks who managed this small location over the past few years. Their performance created ongoing challenges that have still not been fully resolved. A single employee running a post office must be able to deliver accurate service. Mail is sensitive, & errors such as delivering to the wrong address or failing to properly deliver mailed medications can have very real consequences. Smaller communities rely heavily on their local post office. Ensuring that qualified personnel are consistently assigned to these locations is essential not only for customers but also for customer trust & for maintaining revenue, as customers will avoid an office that cannot reliably meet their needs. The USPS can do better for its smaller branches, and I sincerely hope this location receives the support it needs. Small communities need this service local to them & issues like these can result in combining offices to eliminate poorly earning offices.
