Over the course of the last several deliveries of packages, I have watched my mail carrier, from my office, drive up to my mail box and deem delivery “attempted”. On one it was written that there was no clear or safe place for delivery, the next day it was left in my driveway. I understand it is winter, and conditions are tough to manage at times. However, when my driveway is clear (it is also paved, as some are not in my community) it is sunny, and I am watching employees not do their jobs, because what it appears to be laziness, it is very frustrating. This behavior has increased over the last year and is more and more blatant. I’m not sure what happened to “ Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds“ but the carriers in Gilpin county Colorado, clearly do not adhere to this credo.
