Nobody answers the phone at this post office. They let it ring and after 1-2 minutes the call disconnects with a busy signal. So much for "public service"...

I've had nothing but PROBLEMS from this post office since I moved here two years ago. Consistently putting my mail in my neighbors mailbox or vice versa, or my mail just completely not being delivered (why? never got any answer to that one), and today I wake up expecting a very important package that said it arrived in Redding LAST NIGHT, and this morning it is now 5 hours south of Redding, causing an even later delay. If there was another service I could use for the mail, I would.

We need a lock postal box. My mail was found up the street from my home. My neighbor had here mail stolen and the offender was caught and convicted of mail theft. I’ve been calling the Redding Postmaster at the Churn Creek location. I’ve been documenting my calls since Aug. 2021. I did talk to the postmaster before Aug.2021. I’m expecting some kind of response from the postmaster other then “I’m working on it” I understand things takes time. The clock is ticking and I’m documenting. Yaheardme!?

The female letter carrier refuses to pick up abs drip off the mail from the new VA outpatient clinic at 3455 Knighton Road, Redding , CA. Our new facility has perishable insulin and other very important mail that fir two days is sitting there , because the letter carrier claims the line is too long at the pharmacy window. All she has to do is alert one of the staff and she will receive immediate priority service , regardless of the line. I need the Post Master Jamie Biskner to contact me or the Pharmacist asap or I may have to alert the VA OIG office. Our mail is being unlawfully delayed. As a former letter carrier of over 20 years this type of negligence is unheard of and should not be tolerated.

I recently visited your branch today on 6/10/2021. I received professional service from Meri (Window Clerk) and Dillon who worked behind the special delivery door. They both gave me very profession service even though the office was busy. Please let them know. Thank You

2323 Churn Creek Rd, Redding, CA 96002 will not answer the phone. I have called 20 times, trying to get them to answer their d*** phone. It's during business hours, and I know someone is there because they've hung up on me 2-3 times. I am currently calling, while I write this, for the TWENTY-FIRST TIME. This is BS. I'm trying to find out why a package that made it through 5 other post offices in CA without a pause, then gets stopped at the main post office for days without moving. Redding isn't a big town; it takes just a few minutes to drive to the downtown post office from the main one. I'm home bound so I order most everything online, and everything else I've ordered for the past 15 years has moved across town within a few hours. The fact that nobody at Churn Creek will answer the phone during business hours (let alone move a package across town in a timely manner) is inexcusable. How hard is it to scan a package, put it on the truck, and drive it across town? How hard is it to pick up the phone? And these people are getting paid out of tax payer money to shirk their duty & ignore customers. Everyone who works there should be fired, and people who take their responsibilities seriously and KNOW HOW TO ANSWER A PHONE should be given their jobs. I'm now making call #22, which I've been doing for the past hour (because it takes a couple of minutes to get through the menu every time I redial) without anyone at Churn Creek bothering to pick the thing up and DO THEIR JOB!!! That's all I want: just do the job, which includes answering the phone, whether you like it or not. Well, just got hung up on AGAIN. I hope every single one of you who works there is fired. You don't deserve to work for USPS.

I agree with you. I operate a small business and the Redding Post Office has screwed this up for me countless times! The mail makes it to Churn Creek - then the tracking stops. The packages never get delivered across town to the Yuba Branch. What the hell is going on with the Postal Service? Are they throwing packages away? Are they getting stolen or lost ? They only have to go from Churn Creek to Yuba! How hard can it be?!?!

Very unhappy with temporary driver! We watched the driver pull into the parking lot, which is EMPTY and then submits on a package tracking “Could Not Access Delivery Location”. How lazy is that? Then turns around in our parking lot and drives away.

We live off Bechelli lane. It's almost 6:00 pm Thursday Jan 14th 2021 and our mail still hasn't arrived. Recently it's been coming around 5:30 also and I don't understand why. Most of us are senior citizens on this street so do you think we really want to walk to our mail boxes in the dark? Is there any way to fix this? I don't want to leave our mail overnight in our mail box. This is ridiculous.

This the second package that has gone missing. They were accepted by the Redding post office but never processed like the others. The first was accepted on July 18th and the second on August 8th accepted with 2 other packages which were delivered. Thievery or incompetence or accident? Don't know... I'll leave that up to postal inspectors who I will be contacting.

Dude, the key is for the package delivery box. They put the package, that is too big for your mailbox, into the big, locked, package box, and lock it in there. Then they put the key, inside your mailbox, so you know to open it and get your package.....

I was traveling through Redding, we stopped at the post office to drop off 4 packages to be shipped out to my customers. One of the packages was never scanned in and shows that it is still in my possession. I have called and called the Post Office, there is no answering machine, and nobody answers. It's not like I can run to the post office to speak to anyone in person. The 800# just sends you in circles. What a waste, and I'm out the cost of my product and a customer. Thanks again US Gov't, you stepped on yet another little man.

I live here abd deal with this exact issue on the weekly. Im pretty small beans with a measly 3-5 packages a day so i have no weight to throw around down there but there is a major problem. December loss cost me $400 in product (refund to customer), plus at least 3% in non refundable PayPal fees, plus packaging materials, plus a considerable amount of time filing claims, explaining to customer, canceling orders, crying (jk), and at the end of it all in stuck with customers who sometimes leave negative feedback if they don’t think you’re telling them the truth about dropping it off since there’s no origin scan. So ive asked almost every worker what the SOP Is for origin scans and you wouldn’t believe this but no two have the same answer. Some say they get origin scans always, others say only when it arrives before 3pm, one lady told me never, out of only scanned if they accept it at the retail counter. I told her that’s not true because I’ve seen scans before they hit west sac. She was adamant that i was full of shit. So, i ask the, when do you take responsibility of the package if im dropping it off per your requirements in the blue box or the rotary drop, you don’t take an origin scan, and it never appears on tracking? They can’t give me any acceptable answer. So the answer is wait in an extremely long line at the retail counter so you can visually ensure your prepaid labels get scanned. What a joke. The argument one had was that they want to get the packages on the yruck so if they are late in the day they don’t have time for an origin scan. Ok, then guess what, we didn’t make the damn truck, get the origin scan and send it tomorrow! There is no excuse for this very very important procedure to not be mandatory every single time. There’s no excuse. None. The post office takes food off my table for such poor directive from their postmaster. Who happens to be in training all the time. I’m curious what the heck that entails if he/she can’t get the primary and most important first step pf the process implemented. Fix yourselves. It’s NOT RIGHT. Get it together, you owe it to me and I’m sure there are many others.

These people get pensions & job security, why on earth are you so disgruntled? I paid for Priority yet the package did not get scanned and when I called to ask about it, they made it seem like I needed to call the recipient to ask if they received it, then what is the purpose of paying more for a confirmation service? Nancy postal employee is terrible. These gvt workers are terrible in general. There's no accountability when part of our taxes are going to this USPS.

Had a priority package delivery today with electronics as the expected items.
Packed by USPS and delivered and signed for protocol. Problem, when taking package from postman it was open, partially. Asked postman about it and the answer? "I don't know, call the PO.
asked him if we could complete opening in his presence? Yup. One of electronic items not in package(USPS package,Box) He was noncommittal and said he did not know why opened and theft it was most likely machine in office. We call distribution and told they have no machine of sorts for package to go into. Now we have to go threw many hours of paperwork though insured. The postman, He is either negligent or a thief. or both...

Tamara at the post office is the worst customer service person I have run in to. She should be fired on the spot. She must hate her job because she is taking it out on customers. Instead of being helpful she pounded my boxes on another station because I had a question on a Canada shipping form. She told me I could figure it out?? Are you kidding me, that is what you are there for sweetheart, to answer questions that people don't understand!
