I’ve lived in many other cities, big and small, around the US, most recently in Red Bluff, CA (before I moved to Crescent City). The Crescent City Post Office is the most friendly, efficient, and helpful of any other post office across the US that I’ve dealt with. It’s actually a joy to go into the Crescent City, CA post office. There’s never a long line, and the staff at the counter are always extraordinarily joyful and happy! I think only one other post office I’ve used was at least efficient but not “happy to see you” as here! Additionally the Post Master has been great in helping with packages that are sometimes marked as delivered but were not…these only ever happened on days that a substitute mail carrier was the delivery person, but they were always delivered the next day by my regular carrier. After having this problem They’ve either held that substitute carrier responsible or fired that person, as I’ve not had any problems since reporting it and the postmaster. He apologized and told me it was a sub they’d have similar problems with before. I know that our postal service has gone through terrible mismanagement on a National level for the last several years, but as I’ve noted the above the Crescent City, CA postmaster has always been available and very helpful!

Disappointed in the lies that sometimes happen. I've got notice that a 54 inch long package was delivered and put in my 18 inch mailbox. No package at all was there nor was it delivered to my house. If you forget a package during your rounds don't tell me its delivered when its not.

Would posting the cost of stamps from the machine that is available be possible? As in the current cost per stamp, book, etc.? Could make things so much easier and I noticed that the site has not listed that very important information anywhere but needs to desperately. That's why I came to this site in the first place yet to no avail! How disappointing!

Hello! Is there a reason why my outgoing mail would not be picked up last Friday or Yesterday (Tuesday))? The carrier seems to be a nice guy and knows that I am blind but I am now unsure as to how Crescent City feels about mail services. My residential box is not a securable one and I am not comfortable leaving mail in the box for days at a time... Thank you!
