I took a letter to be mailed and TRACKED, which DID contain a personal check. I noted with some concern the Postal employee that waited on me DID NOT place this letter to be TRACKED in a special envelope as is normally done.
Sure enough, it was not properly tracked and the Tracking Info kept showing where it got hung up in Orlando, Fl. It kept displaying Moving through system. Then finally “Delivery will be late”. After I had been told it would be delivered in three days from the date I mailed it.
The party I had mailed it to had the tracking # and went to the USPS location stated. They told her they didnt know WHAT HAPPENED, but the envelope could not be located.
So I had to put a Stop Payment on the check. My bank charged me $35 to Stop Payment on that check. Then I had to resend it Over Night for the additional fee of $25. But THIS TIME the USPS clerk put it in their USUAL and customary envelope with the tracking information on it.
They NOW BOTH got there at the same time to the same address. Long story short, I was out $55+ for the USPS’s ERROR to get the check to the destination as it should have in the beginning.
This is UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE from a US Government agency. A poorly run enterprise IN TOTAL.
Tuscumbia Postal service has got to be the worst in the entire nation. Employees are extremely rude. Mail is regularly delivered to the wrong address or not delivered AT ALL!!!! Time to fire the entire staff starting with the Post Master. Absolute typical unprofessional incompetent government workers feeling superior and entitled. Shut the place down
this post office needs to be closed, their track record on me receiving a package is from 1-10 is at 1. they use GPS which doesn't work with my home and I have large numbers on outside for mail person and still can't get my mail. I receive other people's mail but not mine!
Horrible service....went in 15min before closing to see if they had a package i had been waiting on ALL day and was told to close to closing time for them to go in back and look for me
.....i even stressed that the package was something needed to get my vehicle back running and that I couldn't work without and had been out all week due to waiting on part....still they couldn't be bothered. . would recommend you chose alternative mailing options than usps
I have had someone stealing my packages and opening my mail. People on my street have had the same. They opened a sensitive letter a d put it back in my box. I went to my local post office to ask about information on moving my mailbox to the end of my driveway (still on the road) where it woukd be visible to me, instead of just at the side of my yard (my yard is huge, the size if a football field.) The lady was absolutely no help whatsoever. It seemed like she didnt even care that my mail has been tampered with and now I don't even feel like the Usps wats to help me make sure I get my mail.
Mail carrier constantly leaving my mail at my parents' house next door without my consent (particularly packages that are too large to fit inside my mailbox). Also too lazy to get out of her vehicle to deliver larger pacakges, forcing me to either go to her vehicle to get my package or it isn't delivered.
