UNPROFESSIONAL! Are post office drivers required to wear uniforms? We just had our business mail picked up by someone who did not have a uniform on.

A container of mail was left at our Reception Desk with mail to all offices in the building. Also, boxes were left in the atrium to different companies. Very poor delivery practice.

Each time I’m at Meadowbrook post office, I experience perfect service by perfect employees. Shamika, Barbra and Faye are super polite, professional and extremely helpful. The atmosphere of this post office is very friendly. All of these great girls make u feel welcome. They answer all your questions politely and help with your needs. I think US Postal Service is lucky to have such hard working ladies working for them. I have seen some rude customers, and I have noticed how nicely these employees deal with them. I am totally impressed with their behavior and services. Bravo ladies, hats off to you all.

I have been trying to call the Meadowbrook Post Office at their listed number for two weeks with no answer. The call is answered by a recording and I am told to stay on the line for the operator. After ringing a number of times the call disconnects. I have called all times of the day. There are five birthday/Easter cards sent the Thursday before Easter to our daughter's address in Inverness that have not been received by them. Four of the cards are from our address in Selma and one is from Atlanta. A card mailed from Selma at the same time to Oxford, MS was received within a couple of days. I spoke with the Post Office here in Selma and the clerk suggested I needed to contact your office. Please advise as to how to proceed to locate these cards. Gloria B. Hull

I am trying to see why we are not receiving mail in a timely manner. I have called the branch with no answer in a timely manner. This is a business and I am receiving mail that was stamped in July by the post office but came the end of September. Also having customers call where insurance is informing them of payment and we do not have it.

I want to make a complaint about not receiving my mail, I have called this post office and complained and even went in there and complained. I have been checking my practically everyday and still nothing. I did not receive my light bill so I called the power company and they said that it was mailed out on July 9th and I told them I did not get it, so I had to pay it over the phone. I want to know what is going on. The last time I got mail was July 5th and that was just sales papers. I am not one bit happy.

I wish to complain about the service we receive. I am especially irritated because of not receiving two periodicals for which we pay. My MISSION MOSAIC magazine for January, which should have arrived mid-December, arrived yesterday, February 9. Our TIME magazine, a weekly publication, has been received only once since Christmas. I have spoken to our mailman, and he assures me he brings all the mail that has been put out for him. I could also comment on the long lines at our post office. Often there is only one person waiting on customers. I anticipate a reply from you on these matters.

I shipped a pair of Golden Goose sneakers in the mail ($400) and this post office lost them. I never got an email confirmation that they had been scanned for shipping and no one answered my phone calls. So basically there are expensive shoes floating around Birmingham or someone stole them. I’ve never had a problem with this location so this is extremely upsetting.

What a mess!! I sent a package (Christmas present) to family in Birmingham and it disappeared when it arrived at this post office almost two weeks ago. It was priority mail but the tracking info “froze” and my parcel fell off the tracks. I contacted USPS and received emails from two people who work at Meadowbrook assuring me the matter has been “RESOLVED.” No it hasn’t. Tried to call a number provided by one of those who emailed me but it is not in service. Tried to call the post office but I was disconnected after a long series of rings. I am so disheartened. This is awful

The USPS is suppose to deliver packages to my apartment door, but they instead say “no access to drive or front door.” Even simple packages that could fit in my apartment mailbox don’t get delivered. When I go to the post office to pickup my package, there’s always a LONG line (at least a 30 min to 1 hr wait, most days there’s only 1 employee up front, sometimes 2 if you’re lucky). Most employees have been pleasant until recently. I had a problem with Barbara’s attitude. There was a long line, we were 6 feet apart. I came inside the door, still maintaining my distance from the other person in front of me. She told me I needed to go outside of the door until the line died down (she did not tell me in a pleasant manner). I also witnessed another customer ask her where something was and she said “They are over there in the lobby area.” Then the customer said, “are you sure?” Then Barbara said, “yeah. I’m lookin’ at ‘em” in a rude voice. So it’s finally my turn to go to the counter. I informed her I was looking for a package. I write my name & address down on a piece of paper that happened to be a change of address paper laying on the counter. I give it to her and she sighs and says “Now why did you write on that.” & then she starts to huff. I then say, “well that’s all I had.” She was incredibly rude and needs to be reprimanded or given an attitude adjustment. I get that she was tired and it’s almost the end of the day but you have a job to do. If you can’t be nice, then find work elsewhere.

This post office is the absolute worst. Don’t dare put a package that has no postage due into that freaking box. It will either be lost or stolen forever. I have lost a $200 package that was going to a company for a return. It was dropped into the box with no postage due and has disappeared and was never scanned in. Now I’m out $200. I’ve read other reviews online where people have lost many packages there and some people believe that there are thefts occurring In this particular USPS office. I certainly hope that’s not the case but having been on the postal inspectors website I see that that does happen and that there were over 400 arrests made between 2018 and 2019. I’m very upset. We have a major event in the United States right now in the form of the virus. Money is tight. I dropped my package there in good faith. I have tried calling the main office over and over and over again for possible assistance, and no one will ever pick up. I sit on hold for hours. I would Advise you to avoid the Meadow Brook post office at all costs.

in the year we've lived at 4509 Amberley dr, 35242, we've no less than 6 orders delivered to the wrong address and have received several items that were not ours. on 7/3 you notified me that you had delivered on order i was expecting BUT YOU MUST HAVE DELIVERED TO WRONG ADDRESS AS I DID NOT GET IT. this is a constant issue and i hear it from numerous residents in the neighborhood. corrective action needs to be taken to resolve this issue and you need to locate the 7/3 delivery i did not get.

I live on Guilford, The mail delivery service has gone from excellent to very poor over the past month. Obviously, the mail carrier that provided the excellent service has been replaced and an untrained carrier has been given the route. We used to have our mail delivered by 1:30 PM, now, it us usually 5:30 PM. Yesterday the weekly flyers from the supermarkets from last week. Today, there was no mail. I have always been a supporter of the postal service, but find it unacceptable having tax dollars supplementing such poor service. I would think there would be a quality control process in place to prevent unsatisfactory performance.

On Wednesday, I went to the Meadowbrook USPS branch to mail a large envelope. The line to the counter was out the door and the line for the kiosk in the lobby about 5 people. There was a USPS employee at the kiosk assisting patrons with their purchases. The employee was a tremendous help in making quick purchases and moving the line quickly. I appreciated his assistance as I’m sure others did also. Thank you Meadowbrook USPS.

Since December all if my pkgs delivered by usps are being left next to the garage door instead of on the porch as it had been for the past several years. All my pkgs are being left out in the rain and soaked. Please do not leave my pkgs out in the rain and deliver them to my porch where they've always been left.

Meadowbrook, AL 35242 location appears to be hiring employees that cannot read. Three months ago (Thanksgiving 2018), vacation mail was delivered instead of me picking it up as documented by website HOLD request and on paper in box with mail. As a result, my mail and a package sat out in rain over the weekend. This month (January 2019), I traveled to Post Office location and picked up mail, having handed my driver's license to clerk as requested. When I got home, ALL the mail was of another person...different name and address. What do the clerks do with our driver's licenses? Obviously they don't look at them or, sadly, they can't read.

Update, I planned on going to the bessemer post office but had a change in itinerary and went back to the Meadowbrook post office. Fortunately I was called.by a different clerk, when this clerk processed.my shipping cost it came to a total of $2.66, not the $10 plus the first ride inept.employee tried to.charge me. Customers, beware of what the shipping cost should be, the first clerk was.deliberately going to charge me more, a lot more to ship my.package. It makes.me wonder how.many people have overspent on shipping costs who were unfortunate enough to have clerk #1 "help" them. I think they need to do an audit on that employee and what she has charged. That is inexcusable. It may just be she doesn't need to be handling money at all. Disgrace!

This morning, a heavy set black woman postal clerk opened the doors for us around 8:30 am.on this date. She had a very sour demeanor when I approached the counter. She was very rude to me. It was obvious she did not want to be there or perform her job. She did not want to answer my questions concerning the shipping of my items, or was very disgruntled in doing so. It leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth that the United States Postal Service employees people of such inadequate ability, attitude and unfriendliness. I took my package to another location in Bessemer to avoid dealing with her again. I feel you as the management should attempt to retrain this woman and send her to anger management so that she is capable of dealing with the public because she makes the entire USPS look terrible and adds to the poor stereotype your service already had. I don't mind bringing my money and business your way, however I deserve respect and service in a pleasing way. I am paying in to your paycheck. Please address this matter with that substandard employee.

Chris Morrison, You were not in my shoes, you can NOT speak for me. Not matter where it is, the facts are what they are, regardless! It was more than once. Too, I have been to the hwy 150 P.O. more than twice since then. In fact, that's exactly why I went in routing. I loved the staff! They were superb each time! Believe me, I don't stop at a survey, I go to the next step (chain of command) if things don't change. It's not acceptable to treat someone with such DISRESPECT! I, as well as anyone else invest my money in one's paycheck! I don't mind recording there actions. They work with the public (public service) and everyone deserves great service, no matter the color or gender. I have been in since, and this past time I was pleased. If one does not like there job, they need to find another one, don't spew your unhappiness on me.

Yesterday, 1/30/17, I visited the Meadowbrook Post Office at lunchtime to post a certified letter and purchase stamps. I NEVER look forward to the post office experience. I entered and found the customary long line. A young lady, Katrina, approached and asked if anyone required a service the automated machine in the foyer could accomplish. I was the only one in line that could take advantage of her courtesy. She lead me through the process and I was on my way in two minutes. What a delightful surprise! Please give Katrina my thanks for making this an unexpected pleasant visit to the post office. I vote Katrina for Post Master!

This post office is absolutely horrible. Mail is delivered incorrectly in our neighborhood on a weekly basis sometime more than once a week. This has been a constant problem for at least a year now. I thought it was illegal to misdeliver mail and yet this location is constantly delivering others mail to us and ours to others. Fix this problem now!!

We have had mail missing delivery on several recent occasions that were not holidays and now we've had mail theft via the mailbox this week on the same day we had a USPS 2 day priority mail package delivered to the front door. We know the mail was stolen as we have received a confirmation notice of the delivery of the paycheck and these always arrive on the same day. Will definitely file a report with the postmaster inspector general as well as with the Hoover PD.
