How stupid do you have to be to pull your mail truck into someone's driveway and be looking directly at an open covered carport where it would be 2 steps to get out and sit a package in the dry, and yet you still run down the sidewalk 30 ft and throw it on the front porch in the pouring rain? I was in the kitchen and heard something hit my glass storm door in the living room, and watched this idiot go all the way back to the mail truck as my package in a cardboard box was being soaked. Do you people even care that someone paid money for that?

We are engaged with usps informed delivery and over the past few weeks we have been sent emails that state what our mail will be for that I day. We have not received mail in a week. Why are we receiving this email and not getting our mail. Over the past year I have reservations about ordering anything thru the postal service afraid that I will not receive my packages.

Have not received any mail since last Saturday. According to USPS e-mails, I have letters and a package out for delivery on 2/17. Also did not receive Saturday's newspapers. Service here is by far the worst of any location that I have ever lived in. Can I collect past due charges on bills delivered late from the USPS?

I would like to know why over past several weeks that the mail person doesn't run by my house but MAYBE 3 days a week. Dont want ANY excuses of relating to Covid because I was getting mail service everyday until around first of the year. And the reason I know this week alone I've left mail in the box twice and wasn't picked up. And it's been that way since first of the year.

Absolutely thrilled with this little post office! Dave Johnson has worked with me on several occasions and has been extremely helpful. To me, he is the top employee there! Professional, courteous, problem solver, generous. I know when I go in and he is working, things will be done right and in a timely matter!!!!!!! Wonderful employee!!!!

What is going wrong with this Post Office. For weeks we never know when to anticipate the mail. Sometimes early in the morning. Sometimes after dark. More recently there are days when we get no mail. We have not got mail for the last 3 days. At the same time there have been letters in the box for pick up - flag is out. I have always trusted the Postl Office.. Now I do not and am a bit fearful about what's happening to my mail.

Government service at it's worst! Lately, 2 shipments noted "as delivered", but evidently delivered to someone else's address. Can not file a claim, no one to call, no recourse! Just accept it as a loss. Delivered at night, so no telling where they went. What a joke!

We have had degraded service from the Athens al postal route services for last 3 months! They have put mail on top of outgoing and leaving it ! one day it was not delivered at all! I understand being late, but the other is no acceptable! we are still missing a Social Secuity letter for my wife that was shown for delivery 28 Dec!

The mail service in our subdivision has gotten progressively worse. The time the mail runs varies from 7am to 10pm. There are usually two days a week that our mail person doesn’t run at all. There are several personal vehicles being used and by people not wearing a uniform at all. Packages really are the worst thing. We will get a notification that a package was delivered to the front porch and there is no package. We will get notified a package is out for delivery and expected by 5pm. The time keeps getting pushed back and finally it says nothing. We had a package make it to Huntsville, priority mail from Georgia 10days after being shipped. It got to Huntsville but then went back to Birmingham. It is finally in Athens and we have been told for 3 days in a row that it was out for delivery. I know the holidays can be really busy but this goes back to June. If it’s going to take 3 days to deliver to us in town keep it there and we will gladly pick it up. This is really getting ridiculous.

I’ve lived in many different parts of the US and this is the Worst mail service I’ve ever had. Never runs on time, some days don’t get any mail and the next day get to mail box full of mail, packages say out for delivery for multiple days, and sometimes they report packages being delivered and I haven’t received it.

I have been a a Summit Lakes area Athens resident for six years. This to commend your most helpful and professional counter staff! Now, my mail delivery is essential for several reasons. We get delivery usually between 5:00pm-8:00pm! Most weeks we receive NO mail service on at least one day. Recently, it has gone to two days a week. For six years I’ve heard “training route, end of route, need employees etc!”It’s time for a vast improvement. It’s 9:20pm on November 28,2020 -two consecutive workdays without any mail service!!! Thank you for your reply and attention to this need of improvement for our community.

Over the 20 years we have lived here we have had repeated problems with mail delivery, mainly our mail going somewhere else or us getting others. Recently we had a package not delivered because the carrier felt there was no safe place to leave it. We went on the USPS website as requested and asked the package be delivered the next day. Three days later the USPS tracking site still showed the package at the Athens Post office, but employees there stated they could not locate it. They took my contact info and promised to track it down and let me know the status, but at no surprise to me I have heard nothing from them. It is no wonder organizations such as UPS and FEDEX are putting the USPS out of business.

Since we moved into the Athens area in July, we have had numerous occasions when packages have been claimed to be delivered and never have been. Once, we did get it when someone down the street brought it to us. We have also gotten mail for other people a few times. And, our voter registration cards were claimed to have been delivered and never showed up for a week. By that time, we went to the voter registration office in Athens and had them create new cards for us. We lived in Madison for 7 years and only once did a package get marked as delivered and not show up. It was two doors down and they brought it to us.

I visited the Athens Post Office at 10:10 a.m. on 8/5/20. The male employee behind the counter was not wearing a mask. When I asked why he was not following the state mask order, he said the post office is not the state. I reported this incident to the Athens City Police as well, per the State's guidelines for reporting health orders.

I came home today and two packages sticking out of my box because the carrier was too freaking lazy to place them at the front door. Sure make it easy for the porch pirates and mail thieves. Ridiculous!

I have Never had such BAD service as Athens post office ! For years I received mail for someone five miles from me And my mail is put in the mailbox of a lady two miles away! Both are different roads. And our names are nothing alike. This has been going on for several years since we got the current mail carrier. Everyone on our road gets the others mail and if you call Athens post office there is no answer Once I tracked a package and it was tracked delivered to my house Finally after a week a lady answered and talked with him, he said he placed on our porch. She sent him out to find it he put on someone’s porch brought the package and placed on porch that night and didn’t even ring the doorbell. No apologies. He passes the mailboxes with the flag raised. Last week we received a package a substitute brought it our mailbox is on the road. She drove across yard right to the FRONT DOOR and I asked her why she did that she said she thought it would be okay. She would not tell me who her supervisor is. I have called Birmingham and Montgomery. They were saying this should not happen. But it is the same. None of us can believe how incompetent they are.

I had an issue with a lost package that Fedex dropped at this P.O. I called for help. It took several rings to get to a person (the P.O. is VERY busy), but once I got an employee, she was VERY HELPFUL! She was very kind and patient with me while she found my package that had an error in the address.
