Carrier returns my mail and leaves no notice when mailbox gets too full ...I spoke to him not to do that, and he did it again...no notice that mail was returned to post office. Post office does not answer their phone. All he had to do was ring my bell ..even that he can't do. Missing important mail.

I don’t understand how the employees & mail carriers at this location stay employed, honestly. ThEE worst service or ‘lack Of service’ ever. It’s like we work for them, and they can’t be bothered. 1 word; LAZY. I say they fire every last one of them and start over at this location- it couldn’t possibly get worse.

I suspect our mail carrier is stealing our packages. He is always leaving mail receipts that say a package has been delivered. But, when we have immediately checked the packages weren't in our boxes. So, when we rushed to catch up with him, we found out he had our packages still in his mail bag. We want someone to catch this guy. He is a young guy of medium height & weight, and he is hispanic. We live at 7547 N. Ridge Blvd. In Chicago, Illinois. We want to warn other customers, as this guy is getting worse, since we have not generated a police report yet. But, we will soon.

Packages "Out For Delivery" are not delivered on that day. After 12M, one sees "Waiting For Delivery Scan" and an "Apology" for the slow service. Management should be REPLACED! as should be PostMaster General, de Joy! For being a Trump MOLE/Saboteur! J.C.

Looking for a package that supposedly was delivered 12/2. Trying to contact the post office by phone and it rings then tells me to hold for the next available person..... 3 1/2 minutes later it disconnects! Call back - same thing. I tried 9 times - every time rings for 3 1/2 minutes then disconnects. Called the 800 number - it is a machine that doesn't respond to your answers!

Today marks 15 business days since my check was sent from Denver and I still have not received it. We had to stop requiring a signature because the carriers at the Rogers Park Post Office just put the slip in the box and disappear, which means I have to do their job now. They never answer the phone either. In the 6 years I've been at this address, 3 out of the 4 high value items sent to me have vanished into thin air with no explanation and going to the office on Devon has never produced any results other than we don't know or it's been delivered. Security footage of the mail area in the building show no one stealing mail. Makes me wonder if there's a big pile of mail they're sifting though and opening themselves. For the last 10 years the postal service has been going downhill in the fast lane and this location seems to be the worst one. Offices like the Rogers Park location are the reason the USPS is losing money and will probably be phased out because the private industry is much more efficient. What can you expect from a government agency though, right?

I don’t know what is going on, but I have not gotten three of my last shipments that were initiated by a third party shipping company and then transferred to USPS for final delivery. I have been working from home and check my email religiously to track when packages arrive and each time I go downstairs to get my package that USPS says “has been delivered” it’s not there. I have been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt since I received a package four days past the date it was supposedly received, but I’m going on a week with no packages. I have tried calling the local post office number to no avail, filed a formal complaint and nothing and now I’m worried the shipments these companies have graciously agreed to resend are also not going to be delivered. I am beyond frustrated at this point since these packages contain products that cost a significant amount of money. I haven’t had any issues receiving packages left by FedEx or UPS, so I don’t think this is theft by an outside entity. Based on these fellow reviews an investigation into this USPS branch is desperately needed.

This post office is not short of a national disgrace, and that "Ms. Noonan' is a liar. Even with tracking numbers and Informed Delivery proving they are the last ones with a piece of mail they swear blind they never got it. Email and list your issues. Force an investigation and house clearing of this post office.

Absolute Lie. There is unobstructed access to my building, and if the main lobby door is locked, all the carrier has to do is buzz any of the 18 apartments to be let in. The RP post office are scumbags. 2nd package this week that I haven't received due to this excuse. This is one step away from theft. Delivery Attempted - No Access to Delivery Location CHICAGO, IL 60626 We attempted to deliver your package at 3:58 pm on August 6, 2020 in CHICAGO, IL 60626 but could not access the delivery location. We will redeliver on the next business day.

I put an important piece of mail in a neighborhood USPS bin, and it never reached its destination. It was being sent to a PO box in a suburb just 40 miles away, so no one but post office employees ever had access to it. Now the people at this post office won't answer the phone; I try repeatedly during office hours, but it always rings about 90 seconds and then hangs me up. The USPS is such an important institution in our country. Rep. Jan Schakowsky has sought to get us better service from this branch, but everyone's efforts seem to be for naught.

I posted a letter in a mail box that had a sticker pasted over the pickup times. I tried calling Rogers Park P.O. several times at their local number to confirm that mail was being picked up for that box, and no one ever answered. I tried calling the 800 #, and heard all the options except customer service. Finally, tricked the VM message to get through to a live human and got a message stating hold times were between 45 minutes and an hour and six minutes. This is exactly what i expected from the USPS. This is the reason I should have stuck with UPS Store or FedEx.

Very shady employees, either throw away or steel packages. I brought parcel with label on 8/26, customer service employee told me to leave it on a counter, they never scanned my parcel, 2 days later tracking still unavailable. When I inquired in person, assistant manager said they don't scan labels and packages are picked up in the evening to sorting locations. Every other post office scans labels except them! Never used this post office before, I usually use Uptown. Beware don't use Devon location, they loose or steel your parcels.

Trying to call the Rogers Park Post Office to get a letter that is certified redelivered to a church in Chicago. Called 5 times and transferred to an operator who NEVER answers. Then get disconnected. Waiting an hour to talk to the USPS official site. Plan to start using UPS for important mail. The US post office is not trustworthy.

The regular mailman most have been off. Around 6:00pm, I hear someone talking outside. Thinking it was my daughter who I’d been expecting, I opened the door and found this female outside who asked me, “do you have a dog.” I was surprised. I’ve had a Peekapoo for 12 years. She’s never been in contact with any of the Mail people. I don’t even open the door with her. I told her, yes I have a dog but she’s nowhere in sight. “That’s not what I asked you,” she answered arrogantly. “I just asked you if you had a dog.” And she continued with her phone conversation. I was too shocked to even ask why she wanted to know if I had a dog.

I have had several pieces of mail, important bills, doctor’s instructions, etc., that have been “returned to sender” claiming insufficient information. This was not the case at all since upon receiving the returned mail they called me to check my address. It was always completely correct. This is causing me many problems. Please see to this problem and get my mail to me.

My mail lady Tanya is a wonderful hard working woman, always a smile on her face. She knows people in our building and on our street. I see her carrying loads of mail through snow, rain, extreme heath... The complainers should put themselves into the shoes of out mail couriers and remember that we are only human. Stop the pettiness and say THANK YOU.

I see from that other comments this is not a uncommon occurrence!! It is shameful, I sent my father mail on January 13,2018 from South Bend!! He has still not received his mail...whats going on? Do you have people working that are hoarding the mail, or just blatantly throwing it away? The postmaster of Rodgers Park owe its customers ANSWERS, and those questions need to be answered NOW. Or is the postmaster a part of the problem and knows exactly what the mail persons are doing? You have my email, I will be waiting for a response!

Perry Simmons Tracking# 92612999932608541475543285 I'm very irritated about a package that was delivered to me from your location by driver #69. He left the package outside the building instead of bringing it inside and placing it near or under my mailbox. As a result the package was stolen. Is this typical protocol when delivering mail from your location? Usually the deliverer would either bring the mail inside the building or take it back to the home-base office and inform recipients that their package is waiting for for them to pick-up. I understand you're not responsible for the package, but I would trust that I can depend on you to deliver the package or mail responsibly. I don't know of any mail person leaving packages outside of a residence building. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me. That package was very valuable and expensive. I've had mail and packages delivered to me all the time. I should be able to at least trust or rely on the UNITED STATE POSTAL OFFICE to make a deliver responsibly, otherwise what's the point of using you? It's a common service, that you're expected to provide as mail carriers. I'm very disappointed with how this all happen, and I will be sure to be very vocal about it. This was handled in a tacky irresponsible manner. I would hope that you'd fix this kind of issues with your service team. I do respect mail man and women, as they play a big role in making sure our mail is distributed. I even have family members are work for USPO and they even tell me this is not typical and that the deliver was not bring his/her best foot forward. This was clearly not a great representation of the post office. I'm very frustrated because even as I write this review, I know at the end of the day nothing will be done to rectify this situation. What can be done at this point? The package is gone. I'm just out of a valuable possession thanks to an employee who was to lazy to do his job correctly. I have completely lost faith in you and I do NOT trust you to deliver mail in a responsible way. I hope someday you will have earned my trust back, but moving forward I'll ensure all packages are deliverers to me through UPS or FedEx as Rogers Park's Post office OBVIOUSLY can NOT handle this job.

Came home today and the entire apartment complex's mail was strewn about the floor next to the mailbox in one big pile. I shouldn't need to sort my own mail, it should be in it's box! What do they pay their employees for? Important letters just sat there for who knows how long unsecured.

They absolutely suck. They lost my package that was over 100 dollars, and when i asked for them to check the backroom for the package, they spent over an hour "looking" and then came back and said they delivered the package already. The package was never delivered. They are awful liars and shitty people.

Yesterday the postwoman refused to deliver my package to my residence, even after she buzzed our door and my roomate responded. When he went to do receive the boxes she said "you're not _____" and "there's no name on the mailbox" and refused to hand them over, Yet she proceeded to leave mail for THE SAME PEOPLE in the mailbox! How much sense does that make? This is the THIRD time she's done this. Combined that with the fact I've been on hold with Rodgers Park PO for 45min now, and it took me over and hour just to get through... If it wasnt for the store choosing my delivery service I WOULD NEVER USE THE POST OFFICE. Don't complain when you get laid off and are going under... you're SERVICE is HORRIBLE!

I've lived in NY and LA, and this is by far the most horrible service I've ever experienced. I've logged in more complaints that I can remember at this point. I also firmly believe that they simply leave the phone off the hook, as I can never get a person to pick up (constant ring or busy). They've lost or broken at least 5 packages in the 6 months I've lived in Chicago. They leave slips that they missed me without bothering to check if I'm home and they ignore formal re-delivery requests. Why the hell do these people get paid?

The service I received at the Devon US Post Office in Rodgers Park is unacceptable. Every single time I have to deal with them I dread it because I get nowhere. These people are uneducated and have horrible customer service, not mention they are extremely rude. USPS should be ashamed of them selves to have hired employees like this. Sorry USPS but my company will no longer be doing or shipping though you until you fix these customer service issues at the Devon location.
