I needed help in applying for a passport. I tried to get an appt at the Marathon Post Office but was told they did not have enough staff. I decided to drive to Big Pine and see if they would be able to help. The man at the office, the passport agent, was very nice and said yes they did that work. I asked if I could get it done without an appt. He said he was the only one working there but would help me. He said if others came in he would stop and help them. It was the best example of customer service I have ever had and I cannot thank him enough for his help and kindness.

I can’t believe that the BPK post office is locked up tight and nobody answers the phone from 8 am to 4 pm. We have called every 10 minutes. I can’t return bad merchandise because the return shipping label was sent to PO. I need the label. The postmaster should be embarrassed. I grew up in the “through rain @Snow @ sleet @ hail the postman will complete his run. Not anymore.

I am very disappointed in this post office. They lost my package, said that they would write me a letter saying that it was lost and instead of doing so wrote a letter saying that they delivered it and that I an claiming that it was lost. Also it took them 3 weeks to respond to me about what happened.

Anissah Thomas, same with us. this past Christmas was a fiasco with this post office. Instead of any formal notice from P. O. that our trailer was 'in her way' our carrier decided to WRITE ON OUR MAIL TO MOVE THE TRAILER. Of course, we never saw any note & it wasn't until tracking a Christmas gift for my daughter did we realize that the Mgr. didn't even attempt delivery. Apparently she was under the impression we were ignoring the carriers 'notice' so out of spite she put my daughters Christmas gift back on the truck after a 'max hold' of 45 minutes! We complained to Postmaster General in Miami & our suspicions were confirmed. Time stamps revealed exactly what the Mgr. did! Fast forward to May 2016, we are still having mail marked as 'undeliverable' even though there is nothing blocking our postal box! I didn't receive a St. Paddy's day box my sister in law & just recently a letter was returned to sender without any attempt to deliver. We've complained to no avail. I guess no matter how spiteful or incompetent someone is at their job you just can't get fired from the USPS. I refuse to use the USPS any longer! I ship UPS only! This mgr. is a perfect example of why people are COMPLETELY FED UP with civil service workers, their half passed attempts to do their job & using the little bit of authority they have to bully people!
