HELP PLEASE! My comment pertains to the entire USPS. I am an officer of my homeowners association at 844 17th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90403. Yesterday we installed two new post boxes to replace the two that were in bad shape. I am told that I need the postal service to install the locks on the new boxes. As it now stands, anyone can access everyone's mail. Our mail carrier told me to contact the USPS. I am trying, but no one answers the phones at the local POs and I cannot find out on the website how I can request someone to install the locks. PLEASE respond and tell me how I can have the USPS install these locks. Thank you. Robert J. Dworkoski, 818-625-0965

This post office cut back its hours, has terrible customer service and likes to lock people in the interior office after 5pm so no one else can get in. People in line are literally locked inside and have to be let out. Bad attitudes, bad service, crappy hours, dirty facility. It is clear that no one cares. USPS is bleeding money yet they cant stay open for the hoard of people trying to make it in after work before they close...its hard to make any money when you don't accept it, closing doors in peoples faces and when you have such deplorable service. It helps to have a darker complexion, btw, if you go in here, good luck getting friendly service otherwise.Fortunately an email to the Fire Chief seems to have solved the problem of locking customers inside, now a guy stands at the door like a bouncer.
