This is the 3rd time the mail person didn't contact the recipient of a delivery. Instead they comment that it was undeliverable. What???? His phone number is in the mailbox. His address is 455 3rd Ave #407. What's the answer to my question and problem?

I live in rural Alaska about 45 minutes to an hour drive from town (Fairbanks). On several occasions I've made special trips into town for the sole purpose of picking up important documents or time sensitive mail from my PO Box. Each time I checked online to confirm the hours during which I may access my PO Box and each time I arrived only to find the doors locked several hours earlier than specified according to the schedule on this web page and a few others as well. The most recent occasions being Friday evening 5/20/22 @ 10 pm and Saturday 5/21/22 @ 9 PM. The schedule on every US Postal Service website I can find indicates that PO Box access at this particular location, 755 Fairbanks Street, is possible seven days a week from 6 AM until 11 PM. After being denied entry I took a minute to look at the hours written on the post office doors and noticed that the hours of operation had been changed by someone who scraped off the letters and numbers then, rather than replacing them with an update, simply wrote in illegible chicken scratch some undecipherable squiggly line resembling either a 1 or a 9, as best I can tell; neither of which are correct. So... today I will again drive an hour to attempt to retrieve my mail (replacement debit card and credit cards mailed after my wallet was lost and/or stolen at the gym 7 days ago) which I hope I can access because if not, I will be camping on the post office lawn until Monday morning so that I can get groceries to feed my family, and the fuel to get it home to them. None of this would be an issue if you had either updated the hours on the websites to reflect this change, placed a legible sign in the window above the old scraped away business hours, looked closely enough at submitted employment applications to notice the fact that at least one of your employees needs to attend summer school to get up to speed in the areas of handwriting and probably reading as well (you really can't be super hot at one without the other you know, and... well, I'd say those two skills are both essential for someone tasked with handling the mail, considering the often HAND WRITTEN nature of THE MAIL... LOL wow...) May I suggest that in the mean time at least place a legible sign in the window above the old scraped away business hours until the updates can be posted , no pun intended... Thanks, Zane Brown ps. I know you folks all work hard to get the mail right and even though this letter may have seemed condescending up until this point, it really wasn't intended to be. I was just giving you a hard timeand I hope you got a laugh out of it. Have an awesome day! Thanks for your service :)

A customer of mine is awaiting a package from me here in Massachusetts, mailed on Jan. 3, 2022, to Fairbanks, AK, packaged supposed to be delivered on Friday, Jan 7, 2022, to a Post Office box at College Post Office, according the USPS tracking online. Package not received according to recipient. Can you please look into this?

Never answer the phone. When items claim to be delivered in a PO box they are never actually in your PO BOX. Constantly receive other peoples mail that clearly have another PO BOX down the isle from mine. Rude staff Extremely long waits no kind of system

Lobby at 755 Fairbanks street post office is always locked at different times. Making it difficult to check PO Box. Nov. 1st I got there at 8:15 PM doors locked. Most of the time doors locked before 9:00 PM. I thought 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM seven days a week. Staff is terrible and rude. Why don't they get a job at KFC or something if they hate their job this bad. They should remember the people they are being rude to is why they have a good job.
