I had a high dollar ($2k+) item shipped to my house. Items was supposed to be signed for upon delivery. The item was sitting on my doorstep when I found it and the taking showed that it was signed for. Problem was it was signed for by some rando who I never heard of before. This is not helping our mail theft issue.

I haven't had any of my packages delivered in almost 3 weeks. I understand there's a massive staffing issue and the post office is overwhelmed however--- All of my packages (Amazon) and there's a LOT of them are being marked " Held at carrier for pick up" BUT when going there and waiting in the line for an hour and a half we're told they " Can't find the packages" and " Don't come without a pick up slip" Problem is I haven't been getting any pick up slips. So now WHAT? Due to the staffing issue going on, this delivery problem seems like there is NO END to it. What is being done to fix it? They should consider making some kind of announcement telling the public what's going on and how you want them to actually deal with picking up their packages. I feel extremely bad for the current employees working for usps here-- I know they've been over worked for the last couple of years straight -and now those remaining must be GROSSLY over worked! Fix your issues!!

I have not received my mail for 10 days. Stopped by the main office twice, stood in line for 1 hour each time, only to be told that they can not find my package, although I know I have package because of the tracking numbers. Why do these postal employee lie?

Just wanted to ask which post office you are calling the main office?? I am so old that I remember when there was only one post office in town. So I always think the original location is the main office, however the airport postoffice is the main office in both Anchorage and Fairbanks. I am not sure about other locations.

Why do these postal employees lie. They put can't be delivered because driveway or door was not accessible. My mail doesn't get delivered to my house. It's a line of mail boxes beside the road. This happens all the time. Amazon lets me know my package are here. I go to post office and get package before they even put a slip in my box. I get slip couple days after I already picked up package.

I am a tax preparer. I went to the downtown post office to mail my client's organizers, each of them weigh a different amount due to different circumstances. I was told by the lead employee Ryan that they were short handed and the new policy made by the postmaster was that they could not process and put postage on my envelopes. He said they would need to weigh what they thought was the largest piece and I would have to buy stamps to put on them. When they completed about 30 envelopes the line was growing and the employee listening to what her supervisor Ryan said told me I would have to come back over several days to process my items. So you are turning away paying customers due to your inability to do the job. I am very angry and will be coming to the main post office to speak with the postmaster in regards to this. There was no posted notifications of this change in policy. I have been mailing my organizers for 5 years thru the post office and spend approximately $200 a year. I will be looking into mailing my stuff thru UPS to avoid this problem in the future. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Healy post office doesn't keep up with snow and ice removal. There is a foot and a half burm to climb to get in. I have bottomed out more than once trying to get my mail. I hope I don't damaged my vehicle.

I have requested our PO Bo (81544) be changed from Company Box to a Personal Box back in January 2020 and put in a request to have our mail forwarded. The postal worker said he would take care of it. SPS Form 3575/3546 stating the Old address is a business address in AMS which can't be input for family/individual. Again we have tried to remove address as a business address at least 3 times to no avail. What can be done? The Business in no longer in operation and we need it returned to a Personal Address.

I got notice from my Ordering Place that my Package was delivered to my PO Box on August 27th. I went there on Saturday to pick it up...No Package!!...I talked to the Lady that was there and she said, hopefully who ever got your package is honest and returns it. THANKS A LOT!!!!!! I went there on Monday to talk to real Customer Service Agents. The Lady who helped me looked for some time and than she came back and told me, The package should have been in a larger locker but nobody kept track of it and didn't write it on the sheet. I should call in the next day and they let me know what they found out. Well, I called and called and called and called....you get the point.....and nobody ever answers the phone. I live outside Fairbanks and have to drive 50miles one way tomorrow because nobody is able to answer the phone at this Post Office.

Worst post office I have ever encountered. Delivers package to the wrong house (which the dishonest people do not return or deliver to right house). Plus they sign for package that need a signature when no one is home (a federal offense). This post office can’t be trusted and no one wants to do anything about it. Go to speak to a supervisor and she hides and pretends she’s not there. They’re very rude people that work there. Don’t like your job, then quit. Hire people that want to work and gets the job done right.

No customer service ... Why does this post office have a phone that no one ever answers ... we have called this post office numerous times over the years and never get an answer ... they let it ring off the hook until it drops the call. This is the mud pits of customer service.

Beware the carriers from this post office search your cards for money. Received a birthday card from my mother in law and it was cut open on both ends (CUT) thank goodness it was just pictures I knew that were coming. This place is a joke and doesn’t do anything if mail is lost and they blame it on mail thieves.. federal offense to open someone’s mail. Someone is going to be fired!!!!

In early March placed a hold on mail until March 30th and indicated I would come to the main PO to pick up the held mail. However upon arrival home I am under a 14 day quarantine and unable to pick up the mail. Therefore would like to have the held mail delivered to my mailbox, but my calls to 455-5448 have not been answered

package mailed from Anchorage to me here in Fairbanks arrive on schedule but was delivered to GCI store on Merhar Ave a mile away from the delivery address on the package. Only fortunate that I am there customer and they called me wanting to know why they received it. I would like an answer to that question as well.

Google actually has phone numbers for the different post offices in town and the hours they are supposed to be answered. The biggest problem with this is the percentage of employees who are actually working. I know there were usually 3 clerks working the hours 4 pm to 6 pm. That was prior to covid, now sometimes you will see 2 clerks usually just 1, that's why it takes so long to get service now. What's the answer???

Terrible customer service-no one answers the phone-let it ring literally 5 minutes three different times!!! Also sent my package Back returned instead of routing to my post office. Didn’t even hold it 2 days for me to realize it was there.

Amazon packages, which are clearly marked with "porch door", are being dropped right behind the gate, visible to anyone going by. It would take less than 2 seconds to steal packages. Furthermore, USPS marks packages "delivered to porch door or close to front door." Please explain. Will file big complaint with pictures.

I sent a package to Fairbanks before Christmas. I tracked the package and discovered that it had already arrived in Fairbanks. After Christmas a young woman called me and asked me for a specific apt. number. I did not have one. I now have another address to whom I who like to send the package, but I cannot get in touch with anyone at your post office. How may I contact you?
