They decided not to deliver my mail due to an "obstruction" which was put in place by another agency. They did not even inform me of this. When I called I was informed that "rural carriers are not required to get out of their vehicles." Of course, they would have only had to walk less than 10 feet, but that did not matter. After filing a complaint, I was contacted by the local postmaster who provided exactly zero help. He informed me that to deliver to everyone in these situations they would be getting out of their cars "3,000 to 4,000 times a day." Somehow, I cannot see that being the case.He apologized and basically assured me that he would do nothing to correct the matter. The only surprise that I can see, related to USPS, is that they seemed shocked that their volume is dwindling due to customers going elsewhere.I would strongly recommend shipping through someone else or at least a different post office if you have the option.
