I agree with some of the earlier reviews that the Putney Post Office was NOT a happy place. The postmaster was very unpleasant, not only to customers coming in but also to her staff. Totally unacceptable treatment of either group. Morale finally hit rock bottom, people quit or retired early and customer complaints must have increased. There's a different postmaster now, staff seems happier, and the atmosphere is positive and upbeat,

Federal law requires all federal employees wear masks. One employee in the Putney Vermont post office wears a mask that regularly falls below his nose. Today you could even see his mustache! Please remedy this. Thank you.

Postmaster at this location is a b****. Service since she took over several years ago has been miserable. Mail left in the rain, no mail delivered for 7 days last spring, and yesterday 2 packages left in a snowbank at the bottom of the driveway. You go to the post office to make a complaint it falls on deaf ears...she doesn't give a damn. Going to switch to a PO Box in Saxton's River....had enough of the incompetent postmaster and some of the drivers in Putney. Can't complain to her Supervisor either....they are friends.

I find them to be rude. I paid extra to have my little boys birthday present arrive on time! We got an email from Zappos that it was ready for pick up on Saturday morning! When we went to pick it up the person working - man with mustache said it was not there! He did not look - my little boy cried! He would not look even though I asked showing him that I got an email that it was ready for pick up and a slip in my pocket box! I think he was hurting out as they were almost closing! My 5 year old was very disappointed and asked why that man had yo be so mean?
