November 23, 2021 I mailed a card inside of the Bennington PO rather than leaving in one of the street mail boxes. Figured mailing it early it would get to recipient by her birthday which was December 5. Guess what? She never received it until today December 16, 2021. And the postmark was December 11, 2021 out of White River Junction VT. It appears it had been sitting at the Bennington PO or White River Junction all that time. Why? Again - dropped off by me at Benn PO Nov. 23. Never got a VT postmark until December 11. And received December 16 by recipient - 11 days after her birthday. What's going on??????
The mail coming out of Bennington VT to Shaftsbury residents is abysmal. In the entire time that the Bennington Banner has been using the USPS to deliver their paper, there's only been 2 days when I received the paper on the day it was supposed to be delivered. On most occasions, I receive 3 or 4 at a time - all at least 2-5 days old. I've also had mail delivered, postmarked from VT 8-10 previous to its arrival. I'm still waiting for a package from Zappos that was to be delivered on 11/15 - 4 days ago. The tracking shows that it arrived in Bennington on 11/15 but it's obviously just sitting there. And 2 days ago, the carrier left a package for my neighbor on my front porch!
I know you're short of help but that's still no excuse for mail being delayed. Call out the Guard or so something because this is just inexcusable!
Not the 1st time a package was supposed to be delivered to my physical address and the carrier does everybody else and fails to deliver my packages. I order from several companies that will not ship to a post office box but only physical addresses.
I’m so frustrated with Bennington Vermont post office, as I was supposed to have my package delivered almos ten days ago and then I contacted my the seller who in turn also contacted Bennington Vermont post office and he put in a research case investigation and then finally I thought my package would be delivered yesterday like it said., out for delivery and well to no surprise it never arrived. I’m an amputee who has fad 30 something surgeries and 2 amputations and i count in my packages being delivered on time . So now I hope my Senator can help . I’m contacting Senator Sanders office for help , he has helped me in the past with state problems . I understand there short staffed but when a disabled person is awaiting there orders be delivered as well everyone.

If carrier is on Vacation it should be the resposibility of Post Master to make sure it is delivered
as an employee of the . USPS I know what should Happen.

We've been having A LOT of problems with our mail lately ever since we got a new mail person. We get other people's mail. I left a big note in our home mail box saying we don't receive mail at our home box for 10 years--We changed our address to Post office box 4613. Still getting mail put in that home box PLUS along with other people's mail. It's getting ridiculous.
