My home has been designated as “Handicapped Delivery and mail is supposed to be delivered to the mailbox at my door. On 2/24 a neighbor brought a saturated box to me, (It had rained on 2/23), saying; it was left at the bottom of the hill in the rain, and the mail was inside the wrong mailbox! I am disabled and I cannot get to the mailbox in the street and if it wasn’t for a considerate neighbor; my mail would still be out there. The contents inside the box was wet and barely usable. Please instruct mail carriers on how to deliver mail to handicapped residences.

We just had a package delivered, and the mail man just left it lying in the snow on the ground beside my mail box. My driveway is clear, and the sidewalk is clear no reason to just throw outside in the snow.

Would someone explain to me why mail on Long Acre Drive NE is delivered at times by 2:00 pm and as late as 8:30 pm. Last night (5/10) it was 8:30 pm and today (5/11) it was 4:00 pm. This is not a one time occurrence - it's been happening for about a year now.

Automated system is impossible to navigate and no one will answer the phone. Our mail carrier hasn't picked up outgoing mail since Friday and it is now Wednesday. I placed employees' W2s in the mail two days ago and they haven't been picked up. This is ridiculous. We've had mail delivered each day, but the outgoing mail is still sitting.

it is 12/22 at 7:45 p.m. and no mail. We have outgoing mail which has not been picked up and mail not delivered. They will not answer the phone at the Hollins Branch even when you repeatedly called it numerous times. I've had a piece of mail I should have received last week and didn't. If you can show me a picture of the front of the envelope then why can't you deliver it.

Today a lady brought me mail she had received for me. Today I left 2 pieces of mail for other addresses but delivered to me in my mailbox with a note. Just a few weeks ago I took a lady her package I had accidentally opened. I also put another neighbors mail in his box that was delivered to me. What is going on in 24019 specifically Hollins?

To whom it may concern: We live in the Buckland Forest section of Roanoke County and we have been having issues for quite some time with the times that the mail is being delivered/picked up on our street. When we first moved here in the 90's our mail would arrive usually between 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. on most given days. Within the past few years it has been 5:00 p.m. or so. About a year ago we are now seeing the postal carrier come anywhere from 6:30 to 7:30 in the evenings. Sometimes he drives by leaving the mail in our box to be picked up and we have to wait until the following evening again late in the evening before he arrives. Last night it was 9:30 p.m. (since the change in the hour and it is quite dark). He is now delivering the mail in the dark and we are noticing it is hard for him to see. Last night (Monday Nov 16) he finally came down the street around 9:30 pm but never went down our side of the street and it seems he was unable to make the rest of his rounds. We just wanted to see what the issue was with the Roanoke County Buckland Mill Road area concerning our mail. Can someone tell us what is happening? Thank you.

I'm the President of a local business within the Hollins Post Office territory. We operate in 26 states and utilize the U.S.P.S. extensively. Four weeks tomorrow the keyed lock for the out going mail on our mail box stopped working and the carrier said he couldn't open it to get the Outgoing mail out. He advised he will let the appropriate person know to create a work order for the repair. After two weeks it still wasn't repaired so I and my Admin have tried on a daily basis to speak with someone about this issue. In two weeks of calling the post office I've been able to get through one time and my Admin. not at all. The single time I got through to anyone was last Tuesday almost a week ago. The only thing was told was I was on the list. That they used to have 12 installers and now they have 3 and she couldn't tell me when the repairs would be made. So once again I tried calling. It rang for 4 minutes then it hung up. At this point I don't know what to do. I plan on a complaint letter campaign to everyone from the local Postmaster to the Postmaster General and the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee which oversees the U.S.P.S. I doubt if I will get any replies but at least I'll try.

Tried to mail a package to a certain address. The man behind the counter continuously told me I had the wrong address over and over because he wouldn’t type it into the computer correctly. Bullied me into shipping the package anyways telling me the zip code is right so it’s right and when I tried to tell him it was still wrong I just needed the right address he said he didn’t have to mail it over and over to anything I said. Horrible service.

I have had a package lost for two weeks and when I tried to get help from my postoffice in Salem VA they sent out David Ayers to be incredibly rude and to get rid of me. He had no intention in helping me, he only was looking for a reason to get rid of me. I went to another employee to complain about how rude he was and David Ayers called security on me. He claimed I shoved my phone in his face when I showed him I had another postoffice employee on the phone from L.A. who was saying “I needed him”. he used this for a excuse to shut the door in my face and refused to help. If David Ayers in Salem is any representation of the post office I will never see my package again. I have worked with a number of employees and postmaster there and they all were professional. David Ayers has no business working with the public.Incredibly Offended, Deborah Semones
