The mail carrier that delivers to Crewe Rd has been pulling our alarm bell out of our mailbox for 4 straight days. We have it because of our disabilities and the inconsistency in mail delivery. Three days she threw it on the ground. I'm surprised she didn't run over it. My husband spoke with the postmistress but today again she took the bell off and then stuck it back into the box. I'm not sure what hangup she has about this bell because it only rings in the house to let us know the mail has arrived. I call it vandalism. We spoke with the sheriff's office but she has to destroy our property before they can do anything about it. It seems petty and spiteful to me. We've had the bell in our box for over 3 years and this is the first problem we've had with a mail carrier. It is not in the way of mail delivery as it is attached to the opening of the box. She need never touch it.
