I read a lot of negative comments and I'm sure it's a heavy volume, low staff thing. I also presume having a college or two involved in the logistics makes it even worse. I have to say that I called this local post office and a gentleman answered, and was very helpful. He put me on hold and found my package for my daughter. And now she's going to pick it up. The general technology that the post office and other places have is very frustrating in many layers deep electronically. But I did receive a text message from a rap as well as help from this post office. So I had a positive experience today. Proof that it does happen... 😊 So s

They don’t bother to answer the phone, it just hangs up on you. Rural delivery in the county north is horrific. Might get mail by 6pm. Often it’s taken back to the PO because of some lame excuse. Like “unexpected” problem or now they use the “driveway or front porch is inaccessible”. Which is total BS. You could drive across my entire yard. I never had these problems until I moved to Rockingham County. Horrible mail service. Lies to avoid delivering mail and no one answered the phone in the main post office. Pathetic.

Rural delivery north of Harrisonburg is abysmal at best but what I can't stand is the lying about a reason for "not being able" to deliver a package. Two days in a row I was alerted by the shipper that my package was not delivered because the carrier (USPS) "could not access my driveway or front steps". This is an outright lie; the carrier never even showed up at my house on either day AND my driveway doesn't even have LEAVES on it (I swept it clean before the usual delivery time). Also, my front steps are adjacent to the driveway and they don't have leaves on them either! Walmart should take over the USPS.

I alway have trouble getting packages. They either come a week late because our mail carrier runs out of time, or that is what I’m told when and if I can get though to them on the phone, but most packages somehow gets lost. So I today I called the Inspector General office and filed a complaint. They were very nice and will be starting an investigation. I encourage everyone who has had the same or similar problems to do the same. The Inspector General phone number is 800-372-8347.

I live on the north side if Harrisonburg Va. We can not depemd on our mail at all. Packages are scheduled to be delivered to our diir on a certain day according to the USPS website, Alot of times I get an email saying that the packages could not be delivered. We know this is not true because we are here every day. Yesterday the mail truck parkrd right in front of our home for about ten minutes, she staered it up and drove away and didn't leave any mail anywhere on our street. . Sometimes it's days before we get any mail. We get all of our prescription drugs through the mail, and we have to have them. I think they just quit whenever they want too, and get paid for the whole day, delivering it whenever they want. Many times the mail vehicle goes past our home driving over the speed limit of 25 and doesn't stop snywhere on the street. I don't know about your area, but we have very poor mail delivery at our home.

Worst experience ever....with an agent named Stephanie. Lack of customer service and professionalism. Apparently they reported my packed was delivered and it wasn't. Package never mad it to my hand or mailbox. So rude when contacting....by far worst post office I've been to.

Why was my flag put down but the mail not picked up,? This is second time within a month this has happened. The packages need to be scanned as if they were picked up Saturday. Please reply.

I am wondering what is going on. We have had no mail pick up on Saturday through we had our flag up for out going mail. No one has come by today. What is happening? Can no longer trust the USPS?

We have received no mail yesterday (Friday, Apr. 16) or today (Apr. 17) even though a postal carrier did pick up outgoing mail (very late) from us both days at 286 Belmont Drive (Belmont subdivision). Don't think our neighbors have either. What's going on?

Have 2 packages that were supposed to be delivered last week that I’m still yet to receive. I was standing in my driveway waiting for the carrier to pull up to my house since I had just gotten home and expecting a package on one of the days. The driver drove right past me and proceeded to the next house while sending me an alert that there was no access to my house. They said they would try again on the next business day however I haven’t received any updated shipping information since then. I’ve tried multiple times to contact the post office and the line is constantly busy. I’ve been able to talk to somebody once in the days since this has happened and they hung up on me without providing any help

My letter carrier has been sullen and unfriendly esp since I corrected her statement that I had dogs of which she was afraid. For this reason she would not set packages inside of my yard I wrote the postmaster 3 times and sent a picture of my 10 lb inside dog. Also of the gate standing unlatched.The postmaster never responded. She still dumps them on the curb.

For several months now, I have been receiving mail for four or more different families in the neighborhood. I don't get my mail...i've had neighbors bring mail to me. I've spoken with subs in person, I've left notes for the post delivery person in the mail box....today was the final straw. I am annoyed and frustrated at the mail service....the likes of which I've never experienced; what does it take for the mail delivery person to read the mail correctly and get it in correct mail does? This is appalling!! and I'm tired of complaining with no results!!!

Once again we are not getting our mail 2 days in a row! What are you guys doing? Saving up mail and delivering twice a week or what? I thought mail was supposed to be delivered daily, minus Sunday and holidays! Just because Monday was a holiday doesn’t justify mail carriers only having to work 3 days this week! This has to stop!

I know what you're saying I had specialized lights for my vehicle coming in from California UPS United Parcel Service delivered at the post office those lights post office said they never received them they had to send me some more... it's going on three weeks I still haven't received them if and when I don't receive them this time I'm going to suggest that they have a federal investigation through the office of the Inspector General United States Postal division Washington DC seems like when they come in in the morning they take the phone off the hook and leave it off the hook until they go home I used to work for the postal service this place is a joke..

They dont know addresses! I have received packages several times from USPS. Then told I owed delivery fee from a Brookstone package and I did not. Brookstone is checking up in that. Now, another package is returned because they cant find my address? USPS you should be embarrassed. That was my granddaughters birthday gift.

I'd like more help with locating a package that the carrier placed at the wrong address. --Other than "file a claim". Spoke to the main carrier who said he was off on the delivery day and another woman was carrying that day. Had two packages scheduled to be delivered that day and only one arrived. Scan times are also different which means my package is in the hands of someone else. Also haven't gotten my money back. This is maddening and disappointing to say the least. No one even wants to help me with the issue. No one is held accountable. --It's just wrong!

I believe the reply you got is standard. I live on Reservoir St and during the construction if I spoke to the mail person I got the same response. What happen to the days when you had the same mail carrier and they knew you by name and you knew them. And the USPS wonders why we don't want to use their service. They are a bunch of lazy employees, that can't read. I am forever getting someone else's mail. We have a Reserve Circle in Harrisonburg and they seem to think it says Reservoir St get their mail all the time wonder how much of my mail they get.
