I have lived in the same house for 21 years. We have never had issues with our packages not being delivered until this past month. There has been no changes such as “door not accessible” or dogs outside. There is plenty of room to turn around and UPS and FEDEX have no issues whatsoever in delivering packages. It is extremely inconvenient to have to go pick up the packages and being that I work 8-5 and usps is only open between 8-430pm it is nearly impossible to go pick up a packages they refused to deliver. We have never had this issue the entire time we have lived there until recently. To the point we have started going through ups and fedex instead because of this issue.

As of recent (within the last month), I have had several issues with letters not arriving to the addressee. Many of these letters are bill payments. Three in particular have not been delivered to the addressee in a three week period. I spoke to the Hardy VA postmaster concerning this and his suggestion was to send there bill payment letters as registered mail. Or I could ensure that the date was stamped on the letter when it arrives and the post office (??). I don't know what this would do if the letters are not received by the addressee. As a practical question, I asked if it really makes sense to pay additional for tracking that already have the postage paid on the letter. His response is that he does not use USPS for those letters, that he pays his bills online to ensure they get to the addressee. Apparently he doesn't stand behind the company he works for. Not a good sign
