The people at Culpeper Post Office are incredible! They are so friendly, patient, helpful, and caring. They go above and beyond, and I am always blown away at how well I am treated. They are also so knowledgeable. I hope they know how great they are!!!

Did not deliver mail Sat 11/12

I moved to this area in June 2021. I have NEVER had lost mail/packages in my life till now. Contacted the post office to find out where my stuff had been delivered and I had to leave a message with the manager and didnt hear back for a few days. When we finally were able to speak nothing was resolved. She told me the mail carrier didnt remember where it was delivered to, my mail box numbers are clearly visible as well. This was not the first time so I was upset and wanted to know how they were going to fix this situation. She asked if I got package protection. I ordered this package from an amazon 3rd party seller so i could not get package protection. She asked that I email her my invoice for the item and she would get back to me($15). I never heard from her again, I did also reach back out to her to follow up. Luckily the places I have ordered from have been understanding about this. I just spent over an hour dealing with the latest missing package that says "delivered to mailbox".

Out of curiosity, when the USPS (on Main St. in Culpeper,VA) hires postal delivery personnel, is it a requirement that they be able to read letters and numbers? Because I am so tired of not receiving my parcel deliveries to my home. I literally do not buy from vendors anymore that use USPS because they cannot seem to deliver my items to MY house. But that isn't even the worst part, they actually lie and state that they were either UNABLE to access my address or state that no one was home (when I specifically took the day just to wait for a very important package). But for the most part, I just get emails from vendors that the packages were delivered, but they were never delivered. I just can't understand how their one job requirement is to deliver packages and they can't seem to do that??? When did it become ok for the postal service to not deliver people's mail/packages???

How in the world is someone at the post office going to tell my husband that "his family" keeps putting his package that he has been waiting on Back in the mailbox?! Seriously... It is only my husband and I that live there.... Please do not make up some bogus excuses! I myself have been waiting on a package that when I track it says " waiting for a label at the post office"! Get it together Culpeper postal services.... please!

good customer service on the phone, very poor job performance on deliveries. had a package that said delivered, but it was delivered to a wrong address a block away. nothing came back with a missing mail claim, couldn't file an actual claim because apparently first class mail isn't insured in any way. I had an identical package sent, called ahead to have it held at the post office, it still ended up on a truck out for delivery. nobody could contact the carrier, name and number were taken, although never called back to resolve the issue. 3/10 stars

Recently I had sent a package priority mail to a relative in Culpeper from here in Fort Myers FL. It took 9 days, and then i received a notice saying the address was "incorrect" so the package was being returned. This was particularly devastating to me because the home made crocheted items within were being sent to a young woman who was dying from heart failure. I wanted her so much to receive my gifts. I called the Culpeper Post Office and someone named Don was like the gifted angel i was praying for. He investigated the delivery, caught it as it was being returned to Florida, and has sent it back out for delivery to my niece. Then he called to let me know this was accomplished. I thank God for people who still exist like Don! This is like the postal service that I grew up with and it is so encouraging to see people who still know how to do their job by caring. Kudos to Don... may be get a medal, if the postal service has such a thing!!

I have completely lost faith in this postal service. So many important things just "disappear" when I complain, i either get a brush off or runaround. The last package to "disappear" was 6 medical masks for an essential worker in my family who is working to help others and NEEDS these masks. They had address for both receiver and return CLEARLY marked. More than ample postage on envelope... Witnessed mail truck stop at my mail box and pick it up... Two weeks later, and it's gone! Nothing. He has cameras at his home and can see it never made it to his address. 😭 I will be using other mail services in the future. To whoever took these, you took something that my family member needed so he can care for others. He is STILL helping others and has no masks because of you. I hope you read this. I hope your conscience bothers you. Shame on you.

Received a package on 1/30/19 from DSW . The box was crammed into my mailbox as tight as it could be. Its a good thing it was not a gift or breakable. The box was mutilated. We have a larger mail box so the carrier can leave small packages in the box but please don't cram the box with the larger packages. This is not the first time this has happened.

Ditto in spades!!! Culpeper postal service is a disgrace. Husband, standing out in the rain, nearly had to dismantle the already semi-mutilated box out of our oversize mailbox in order to remove it. Thank God it wasn't something breakable. This happens all the time. Would be nice if Culpeper could find delivery people who weren't so outrageously lazy that they can't be bothered to drive an oversize package up to the house. They don't deserve what they're getting paid.

I sent my school books back to Belgium on 11 december, my school starts tomorrow and my package still did not arrive yet. However I can´t find my tracking code back, is there still a possibility to find my package ? I really need it as soon as possible. (if you send me an email, I can give you all the info about the package if needed)

I receive a daily email with photos of what’s in the mail for that day. On Friday Aug 3rd I received my daily email with photos of my mail. I have been waiting for a retirement check to come in. And I was very happy to see the scanned photo showing that it was going to be delivered that day. But to my surprise when I got home to check my mail it was not there. All the other mail peices were there but not my check. Very disappointed, it leaves me to believe that my mail was stolen.

Saturday, July 8, I received my mail, including bills, cards and photos in crumpled up condition. Photos! Cards! Messed up due to bending and crumpling? Why is my mail being handled so carelessly. How do I mend bent photos?

I'm not happy. I just want to check and print out the receipt of a very important document I mailed. There is no place to enter my tracking number without asking me to download an app that tracks packages from several carriers. I DON'T WANT THIS APP. I just want to get verification of my tracking. Why can't I do that anymore?????
