The customer service is horrible. No one ever answers the phones. Anything larger than a letter will get sent back to post office

ONE star to post! Quitman PostOffice no longer takes deliveries from Fed Ex addressed to their physical address with the POBox indicated as #000. UNLESS you pay the USPS equivalent rate listed by Fed Ex, for them passing it across the counter...and asked me "...make sense?..." What would make more sense us if they charged the lesser charg as a courtesy...

Our mail system in Quitman is unbelievable. Another package sent back because company will not let me use a PO Box so I had # 1486 and no one can figure it out. We have lived in same address 52 years and have had problems 52 years. Washington DC can’t even help! I have called everyone with no help. What does a person do? So sick of this! Does this current post mistress care? Ha!

I'm so very upset. The customer service is horrible. No one ever answers the phones. You get thrown out of the place for voicing your opinion and asking simple questions. Lose packages all the time. For our business they have lost 3 packages. You Folks At Quitman Post Office Need To Step Up Your Game!!!

I went to open a PO Box at the Quitman, TX branch and was told that I needed two forms of ID. When I presented my Texas DL and my Texas License to Carry (CHL) I was told that the handgun license is not a valid form of ID. I assured the lady at the desk that I was not carrying my firearm at that time, but she was still noticeably upset with the idea that I was licensed.I have a call into the Attorneys at Texas Law Shield but I believe that this will not help as the Post Office is Federal. I would certainly like to get the word out to all fellow licensees that this is a violation of our civil rights and should a major concern.

If the attendant provided the services in accord with the job requirements, than I see no reason to think your civil rights were violated. Perhaps they should post what the valid forms of ID are. (Did they?) Why would you present a CHL if it was not an acceptable form of ID? Yes, some people are "upset" when faced with those who carry firearms, but that is their problem. If you were not improperly denied services, you need not make an issue out of nothing. Did you present proper ID and get your P O Box?
