The Monterey post office is an absolute joke!! Been trying to get my package over 3 days now and they can't even find it, certainly wish I could go back to freedom!


we moved a month ago and the old address is still receiving our mail. thank god no one has moved into our old address. we put in change of address 2 days before we moved!!! i call the monterey station and was told i would have an hour hold time before i could speak with someone.... this is NOT ACCEPTABLE !! what the heck did i put in a change of address for is the post office is going to ignore it ?? please forward my mail to the correct address !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i may be reach at email to resolve this issue as i work from 7:00am-5:30pm every day so i am not able to hold for an hour nor am i able to come and stand in line. MONTEREY STATION please do your job !!!


The lady who handles the passports at your location needs to be replaced. I went to apply for my passport 08/29/16 with all necessary documentation. She tells me I can't use a credit card. So I leave and walk to get a money order for said passport. Then she tells me I should have gotten two, she couldn't break one up for the two separate fees. So I leave, contact my brother who brings cash for the MO. All's good, she takes my papers, my picture, my money, tells me I'll get my passport in about 6 weeks. The same brother goes there to apply for his passport today as we are traveling together. She tells him his birth certificate can't be used, JUST LIKE SHE TOLD ME. That was lie No 1 out of this lady. She even told him that she sent me off to get another birth certificate and I left and came back with something different, LIE NO. 2!!! My birth certificate was neither questioned or rejected but rather accepted by this woman ON ALL THREE ATTEMPTS at getting my application done. The 3rd time, cash was all good, paperwork good, you'll see it in 6 weeks. This same woman tells my brother today that I can expect to get a letter telling me my passport is hung up because of A BIRTH CERTIFICATE she had absolutely no problem with 3 times!! Oh, and that I'd better hurry since we plan on leaving the country in about 7 and a half weeks. WHAT??? Are you kidding me? The one time in 51 damn years I can travel and because your employee is obviously incredibly incompetent, I may not be able to? I will be in to speak with whoever manages this station when I can take off work again. This is without a doubt complete and utter incompetency, lack of proper training on how to do her job, or just plain does not care. She needs to go.
