This post office does not answer their phone and as a business, they have gotten to the point when someone takes the day off - the mail doesn't get delivered. I've been in my location for over a year now right across the street from the only hospital in town and mail service here is sporadic and only runs when they have someone out this way. The fact no phone calls are taken and no answering machine is active certainly appears that a customer service is no longer an option with the US post office here in Kingsport.
Our weekday delivery is good; however the person who delivers on Sunday is leaving our packages ( Amazon) at our neighbors mail box. The boxes all have our numbers on them, but he still leaves the package at the wrong address.
Why is it that our postal system gets worse and worse. I have a package of medication that I have been trying to get for days. I have scheduled a redeliver, tried calling and they still haven’t left a paper for me to pick up. I am soooooo mad!
Sad state of affairs. Postal service is supposed to be a service to us that we pay for through tax dollars. To be treated as a nuisance and dont try to call them. Its a joke. And how much are they claiming they should be paid for this???
I have not been able to get my mail in almost a month. I understand that it is closed because of flooding. I am not happy! I can't access my mail or packages. No one will come to the door or answer the phone. This is beyond ridiculous. This is unacceptable. There needs to be some form of communication during this.
we pay $170 for PO box. i have important mail to pick up. office was closed on 12/27 and have not time line when it will be open. Howe can I access PO box? we can go to other offices for other things. can you make some arrangement for PO Box users?
You need to change the hours for the Center St location. Everytime I go there, there is a sign saying they’re closed till 2:15, 3:30, 3:15. So I have to go clear across town to the Eastman Rd office!!! If you’re not going to keep it open, then shut it down!!!

At this 1 800 275 8777 number, how do you reach an actual person and not a machine? Something's wrong about my address and it needs fixing before my benefits get cut. Social security called to check my address and had my mail they sent me returned to them. The addresses matched. Never had this problem before.
I'm just wondering if Kingsport is the only place in America where mail doesn't run everyday...??? for some reason I get mail about every other day sometimes not even that I stay home all day I work from home and my desk faces the street and I'm here to tell you the mailman does not come everyday sometimes two or three days go by before I see any mail. Is this normal??? I have time-sensitive materials coming to my house now I think I need to get a p.o box because nothing gets here on time. Who do I have to call to get answers, because nobody answers the phone at the post office!
I've paid for mailbox keys upon do so I was advised to place my mail on hold until my keys were picked up. My keys ended up being delivered to my apartment office and after a week of no mail at all I decided to call the postice office. I was told I had no mail there either. I still haven't received any mail whatsoever and have tried several times to contact the USPS with no luck. I am not receiving any of my bills or medical papers is there any advice on what else I can do?
The post-persons have been delivering my Business mail to the wrong addresses one was over 6 miles from my location. Your Carriers need to be talked to about checking the correct address. It has become very sloppy over the past few months.
pay for overnight priority...promised to be delivered by noon....and not once but twice are they refunding my money for not making delivery time anywhere near promised time. if you want if to arrive for sure, use fedex
