Postal Locations

I don't know what you guys are doing but the service is HORRIBLE. I rarely get my mail before 8pm and some days I don't get it AT ALL! I did not receive my mail yesterday and it was marked as inaccessible but nothing has changed about my mailbox or the wide open carport. I've also had my mailbox crammed so full that mail is pushed out of the back into the weather. The half passed apologies from customer reps do not cut it. You guys suck and CLEARLY any feedback received has no effect. Not sure if it's incompetence or carelessness but it's a real shame either way.

dont know if they will even come..leave packages out in the open after hours at a business,, constantly leaving notes about what they see as problems with the whole community mailbox lid,, mud hole,,, flag broke, box leaning. it must take lots of the carriers time because so many are complaining. im sure it slows the process of getting the mail out. we are constantly getting part of our packages and not the rest. If it was fast food, we would all die with food poisining.

No one at the Sumter SC post office will answer the phone, I've tried for 7 days and it rings with no answer. I've got a priority mail with tracking number stuck at that location for 14 days. I live 3 hours away, it is suppose to be forwarded to me, but tracking says its stuck in Sumter. Wish I could speak to a person or get an email to send details to.

Our mail person will not deliver packages to the house. The identified reason by the employee is "animal interference." We have 2 dogs that are contained within an invisible fence on the opposite side of the yard. We have had an invisible fence for 15 years. There is a sign indicating this at the base of the mailbox and I have personally left a note indicating the same. I think it is called being "lazy" and looking for an excuse. It is no surprise to me why the post office system struggles. I will have to go to the main post office today which doesn't open until 9:30 AM and wait in line while watching the window clerks literally go in "slow motion" as though none of the customers have any other obligations other than to wait in line. My disappointment with the post office continues to be reinforced by their apparent lack of care and professionalism.

This post office NEVER calls when delivering packages. They just put a bogus claim of "obstruction" to the door and not being able to deliver packages. Very lazy.

Having the sentence below as your opening statement really says a lot. "Comments below are not read by postal employees." Maybe they don't read the comments because they could care less that important packages and mail are being delivered to the wrong address. My very important package has been delivered to someone else's address and this post office shows that they could care less! I brought this matter to their attention and everyone is blaming the next person. The tracking shows that it was delivered but I received no package at all. Now get this, I received two different tracking times, with both stating that my package was delivered to my address. I also received two different weights and demision for this same package that are as far apart as the east is from the west. I don't have money to throw away like this, no one does! - Your handling of this situation has been totally disrespectful. I was told without a care that I might as well forget about it, and "I cannot do a claim because their tracking shows that the package was delivered to my address." I was also told , "Maybe I received the package and trying to get paid by saying that it was never delivered." ( Yes, you read that correctly.) Here's the bottom line to all of this...you guys delivered my package to someone else, with all of my important information included inside. I am out of a lot of money ..not to mention you guys probably gave someone a hand in using my personal info to commit fraud or create a false identity. Sadly, everything about your handling of this matter is and has been totally disrespectful! Shame on you!!

Why are the residents of Deerfield Courtyard not receiving their mail and pick up mail daily? Does the carrier not deliver when it’s raining. I have witnessed a carrier try to deliver a magazine when it was windy but some of enclosures were dropped out into the wet gutter but not retrieved for the mailbox. It was delivered by a mail van not the usual truck as well. Very poor service to this neighborhood!

Hi! We have a new-in-the-box Salsbury Model 3406S-02BLK mailbox that we've never used. We'd like to part with it for a fraction of what we paid. Might you know anyone who is looking for such a box? The mail person never brings the mail to my house ON TIME. They wait & deliver it in bulks when there ready & I can see EXACTLY what I’m supposed to receive & the day it’s supposed to come ,

MY LEGAL MAIL IS BEING OPENED BY THE POSTAL WORKER THAT DISTRIBUTES MAIL TO MY ADDRESS. MY MAIL IS ALSO BEING HELD. FOR TWO OR MORE DAYS I DON'T GET MAIL AND THEN I GET 6 OR 7 LETTERS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT,BUT I KNOW IT'S ILLEGUAL.. ONLY AFTER THIS FEMALE STARTED PASSING OUT MAIL ON THIS STREET DID THIS START HAPPENING TO ME. I STILL HAVE THE LEGAL LETTER THAT WAS OPENED BY SOMEONE IN YOUR OFFICE. I WOULD LIKE TO GET MY MAIL ON TIME AND IT NOT BE OPENED. I live in the pinewood road area, both me and my neighbor and I'm sure many more have been getting eachothers mail and other people's mail from around sumter with the same number as ours on the mailbox but different street. My neighbor has called and complained once, and we are all about fed up. I've been expecting a letter from Dehec since March 2 and I know it should be here by now because I've called dehec. We as neighbors suggest either giving this girl mail person a warning to do better, or do better and hire someone who will pay attention to what their doing, rather than their phone. I and many other neighbors should not have to deliver others mail because the person hired to do so is doing it carelessly . Do better!

I have several Amazon orders that are to ride within the next few days. Today I received an update that 3 of my packages were delivered and placed on my front porch. They were not delivered. I was home all afternoon and received by regular mail. I have driveway sensors and they did not go off, which means that nobody came into my driveway to place packages on my front porch as was stated on the Amazon website. Upon checking Amazon, two other orders were not marked as delivered, yet they WERE delivered IN MY MAILBOX. MYy question is...where are my packages that were marked as delivered but were not. This is why the people are untrusting of the postal service. Please find my packages and deliver them.

I have never had a problem with mail being delivered until now.... it's been 2 days and no mail person has been by. I hope my bills that come due understand when they are late payment because my mail was delivered late. I hope they correct this problem soon. I did call the post office the lady I talked to was very nice and apologized but this is something that needs to be corrected and soon.

I stay on East Charlotte and the mail carrier over here is very rude and have no respect who can I talk to because he don't put none of my mail in my box saying he can't see my number on my mailbox and I really do need to speak to someone about him because if he disrespected my child again I'm not going be so nice to him so please can someone text me back with a name and a number to someone I can talk to.

Well for 2 days on brown street sumter been getting other ppls mail and not our own. Had 2 important mail pieces suppose to come yesterday and never came checked box til 8pm last night 8/26, went out this morning at 8am and still nothing in box. Saw mailman ride thru at 930 am on 26th and nothing..did he take the day off

I recently contacted your office about the delivery of mail in our subdivision , which can only be described as schizophrenic....no rhyme or reason to the time of delivery. I put mail for pick up in the box and as if 7:14 pm on this date it had not been picked up. The last time I wrote the mail was delivered the next two days by noon....it has gone downhill since. Please take corrective action.

I have a problem with alternate mail carrier! In the last 2 weeks she has not delivered mail 4 days! We need some type of corrective action! And yes I am contacting Columbia about this also!

USPS has gotten really bad! I've been watching for a delivery all day, mail carrier hasn't even come down the road. I just recieved a text message saying "Delivery attempt failed, pick up at post office" It was time stamped for 8:08pm even though the actual time of the notification was 5:57pm. I would of been fine if I had gotten a re-attempt tomorrow message. Our mail carrier here always has problems and someone needs to look into it.

Running VERY late July 25th. Mail showed up around 6 ish.

The postman stated he tried to deliver packages, but know one home, stated notice left none left we were home at the time, this has happened several times. It no wonder they are going broke with this type of service

Driver's are truly terrible, I was home all day working in my yard, seen my mailman drive by and then later, got a notice that my package was not delivered because no one was home. I mean, I saw you drive by. Really?

Tracking of a package says it was delivered in my mailbox but it was not. I tried calling but cannot get thru. The tracking information says it was delivered in the mailbox today - it was NOT.

Sumter SC has on of THE worst post offices in the Uniter States. Not only are their mail carriers too lazy to deliver parcels to the main office building of an apartment complex ( a system that UPS and other shippers have zero issue following through with) but they also lose packages intended for pregnant friends and fail to answer the phone at their location so an out of towner can't even ask why the parcel is a week plus late being delivered and why it now says on my package tracker they the carrier lost the package and it is now undeliverable. This post office is a waste of time.

Called Sumter Post Office no answer. Mail is not being delivered when stimulus check came it was delivered to wrong address other mail and package also being delivered to wrong address. Getting other people’s. Mail and package. What is happening to mail. Haven’t seen mail man anywhere on McCrays Mill Road in since Thursday. I live at 2066 McCrays Mill Road.

changes really need to be made. I have made numerous complaints and still nothing has changed. My packages still get deleivered somehwere, not sure where, and they have no idea where either apparently. Also nobody answers the phone when you call to ask a question. If they do answer they know absolutely nothing nor are they any help what so ever. They say they will look into something but never call you back. I can’t tell you how many packages and important mail I have NOT received. Someone may be receiving it but I am not. So why don’t they fix this issue? Because they don’t care I suppose.

Ever tried to contact the local Sumter post office? The phone numbers are useless, so get in your car, drive to the Main St. location, go in and stand in line, and wait to get a question answered. Good luck on that also. What a joke!

my carrier did not pick up my out going mail today out of my box even thought red flag was up and they left new mail. My neighbor also brought over to me a letter that got in her box. My bills are time sensitive and I cannot afford for my checks to arrive to their destination late. THIS IS NOT FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. Now being a weekend this will cause my checks to arrive at the destination later. I cannot afford for this to happened. I am disabled and cannot get out to Post office. Totally incompetent!

Please note: I am a 74 year old Disabled Veteran, and I was also injured a couple of days ago, or I would have come to the Post Office in person but, as it is I am hurting too bad and because of this problem I am sending this email. I am having a problem with my mail delivery at 14 W. Bartlette St Apt. 302, 29150. I received mail from “ Thoughs from the Heart”. I wrote on it “REFUSED” and placed it in the mail out box in this building. The delivery person misinterpreted my meaning and stop putting all of my mail in my box. I have been receiving back travel pay checks for visit’s too Dorn VA Madical Center in groups of “TWO’S, and I have Direct- Deposit. I was given a pile of mail held together by a rubber band with the message included with it too fill out a return of addres form, and only one check, I’ have to call to be sure that two check’s were sent, anyway I haven’t changed my address, so “PLEASE CORRECT THIS MISUNDERSTANDING”! I PLACED A NOTICE AT THE SUMTER OFFICE TO STOP MAIL DELIVERY ON 24 OCT AND THEN DELIVER ALL MAIL HELD ON MONDAY 29 OCT, I NORMALLY GET ABOUT 15 PIECES OF MAIL DAILY. ON MONDAY 29 OCT I RECEIVED 6 PIECES AND ON TUES NO MAIL WAS DELIVERED. I WENT TO THE PO AND THEY GAVE ,ME ABOUT 40 PIECES OF MAIL ???WILL I GET MAIL TODAY

This is the third pick up that I have scheduled online, received a confirmation email with confirmation number and yet, no one has come to pick it up. Why offer that service if the carriers are not willing to come inside to pick up the packages? They actually get paid extra for that service so there is no excuse. I tried calling the post office on Main and no one ever answers. The voice mail is ALWAYS full and the 1-800 number is a complete joke with a 30 minute wait time, every time. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've noticed I only receive letters on Tuesday and Friday. Amazon packages are delivered on other days as required but mail is only delivered twice a week. My security cameras verify this. When was this schedule notification posted? I missed it.

Once again today I received a $6 magazine nearly torn into two. Thanks to my terrific mailer deliverer Fred, I no longer get someone's else's mail with the same house number as mine. But I am tired of my magazines being ripped up while junk mail is always intact!
