Terrible delivery service. Our mail carrier refuses to drop packages off. When I asked the post office, they said they are not taxpayer funded and don’t have to answer to me.
I want to commend the service we receive on our street in Keowee Key. I have not had any problems except when we cancel mail and it is not held at the post office. We are fine with the postal woman we have now but we do miss Lynette. She is a cheerful, reliable worker and of course the dog treats for Lily are a bonus!! We hope she is doing well and will return.
I have been receiving mail that is dirty (as in it looks like it has literally been drug through the dirt) and even received one package that had clothing inside and was opened and taped back shut. The clothing on the inside was dirty as well. Then I had an issue with a package saying it was delivered, but I never received it. When I tried to call about the issue, I was left on hold for almost 10 minutes. Then, I tried to call again and someone hung up on me. I am not pleased at all with how this went.
I constantly get other people’s mail and my neighbors get mine. We have the same number but different streets. Why is this? Are mail carriers not taught to look at street names and only numbers? I’ve never had such a problem til I moved to Salem SC.
Today, October 15 a box coming to our address (915 Rippling Water Way, Salem, SC) was left out at the road below the mailbox. We have ask that if boxes do not fit in our mailbox to be left at the front porch. This was an item that was very expensive and should not have been left in sight of others to be picked up.
thank you
