It is very frustrating that I cannot speak with anyone at the Johnston, Atwood Ave. post office!! I call and call and it rings and rings then the phone is disconnected. Ever since the middle of October 2023, we have gone multiple days not receiving any mail in our box, so what is happening with our mail deliveries? Do the postmen need more training, is our mail getting thrown away, going to the wrong address? We have not received mail that is very important from our financial advisor even though they mailed it twice before December 31
I have been trying for 2 days to talk to someone at this Post office and all I get is the phone ringing and busy signals and dial tones. It is disgusting that this is allowed to happen. I see I am not the only one who has been subjected to this. Please look into this situation and correct it at once.
I live in an elderly complex in Johnston. The person who delivered the mail today put the weekly ads ON the FLOOR in front of the mail boxes still bundled and tied!! Many of the elderly here cannot bend over. The regular mail person is on vacation and the person who is replacing her is fantastic. Always puts the mail in the boxes. Very, very nice person. However, the person who delivered today was nothing but lazy!!! Are we supposed to carry scissors to the mail box now?? I tried calling the post office, but all the phone did was ring and ring. There was no reason for this at all!! Hoping this matter gets rectified!!
The mail carrier in my neighborhood stated that she left Two packages at my residence at 10:39 on 7/15/22. SHE DID NOT. I went to the Johnston RI post office on 7/15/22 at 3:20 pm to make a complaint. The postal clerk talked to the supervisor who got in touch with the mail carrier and was told by the carrier that she would drop the packages at my home later that day. As of 6:26 pm there are still no packages delieved. She lied when she stated that they were delivered at 10:39 on 7/15/22. She still had the packages in her possession in order to promise to deliver them later that day. I believe some negative action should be taken against this carrier for LYING. I am very disappointed with the U.S. Postal Service.

I was promised Tuesday 7-27-21 for my certified mail delivery date. That was my only sons birthday.
It did not have any insufficient address. Your excuse is not valid.My son got nothing for his birthday. Your apology does not suffice your damages.Your Post office is totally dysfunctional, and cannot even be bothered to answer its phone. Shameful. You cannot be bothered to answer your own phone. Your Post Office clearly puts paying customers dead LAST. I was calling from the other side of the country.I will post these facts on the REVIEWS BOARD.
I live at 9 Mitchell Circle, Western Cranston, RI. I have not received mail delivery for the last 3 days. Is there a problem? I know the public works did not do a good job in plowing, but my box is cleared.

Horrible customer service, Tom was the supervisor at the time of my visit and he was completely rude & of no help to me and my situation, I expressed my situation and he continued to speak to me in a demeaning way asking me “ if I know what Covid is?” And continuing to be aggressive and disrespectful instead of communicating with me or offering other solutions.
My sister send a certified mail on the 4th of August. Tracking says package scanned in to Johnston USPS at 10:18am Monday. It is now Thursday, still no package. I am trying to call. Phone rings and rings then goes to dial tone. This has been for hours. No customer service.
I am hoping you can help. I ordered a beautiful house warming gift for my friend. It was delivered by USPS and dropped off at Johnston RI post office for delivery. After reviewing tracking information it says it was delivered. However, the package is no where to be found. We are hoping it is at the post office for my friend to pick up. No one answers the phone! You call and call and call. It just rings until you get the disconnect signal. I understand there will be times they are busy, but it can't be all day. How is this acceptable? Since this seems to be a continuous complaint on this thread, my guess is, mine wont be the last.
We are not receiving our mail regularly at this address. Last time that either 32A & 32B Woodcliff Ave., North Providence, RI 02911 received delivery was 2-3 days ago. Please check & advise. Thank you!!

I got a notice stating a package was left in my mailbox but it wasn't. The supervisor said she will call me back with info but never did.Three days later and still no update. Now I don't have my package or the money I paid for it. FUNNY how postal workers are NEVER WRONG!!!
I just yhad a very unpleasant encounter with my mail lady (she is new to my address and have never seen her before). I was waiting by the cluster of mailboxes until she was done passing out residents' mail. There was a light package she place on the wall near the steps & mailboxes. I picked it up saying, "This kind of package is usually for me." Syhe grabbed the package out of my hands and said, "If you don't recognize the sender, it probably isn't your's". Come to find out it wasn't, but as that was going on, she closed & locked the mailboxes. I said, "Can you reopen mine because I'm so waiting for my N95 (mask) to arrive?" She rudely said (mind you, I was still in my bathrobe), "I don't know who you are so, no". I said everyone knows who I am; my son has the key and he isn't home". She made a couple of rude remarks and I followed her lead and said, "I don't think I like your personality; I must report you & this behavior." So here I am. Could someone please send her to a training to tell her how to be cordial to a 70 year old resident just hoping to get her mail? I would greatly appreciate it. I would ask for her route to be changed, but during this pandemic, I guess I have to appreciate the changes so life could go on.
Horrible! My carrier is the laziest, refusing to deliver packages or anything requiring a signature to the door (apartment). Instead he always leaves the "Sorry we missed you" slip in the mailbox with "No authorized recipient available." EVERY TIME! He once even forged my name then left the package in my mailbox. A complaint was filed but nothing was ever done. When I called the office I was told carriers are not required to go to apartment doors because it takes too much time and that apartments are not considered the same as houses.
I live in Morgan estates in Johnston. I have yet to have my mail carrier place my packages on my own doorstep. I've lost so many packages at this point because my package always gets delivered somewhere other than my home. What is with this incompetence? You really should fire the mail carrier who delivers here because they are not capable of performing the basic duties of their job.
I have lived in Johnston for a year. I live in a complex with letter size mailbox’s. I have had several issues with my postal carrier so I went into the branch and explained my concern. No one cared about the complaint. Things have continued to escalate. I continue to receive my neighbors mail which is clearly marked with her name and house number. Attached to all of her mail and none of mine is a note from the carrier telling me this is my final notice. The mail carrier is rude and always on his cell phone. Packages that would not fit in my box are taken back to the post office and no pick up notice is ever left.
Johnston post office is not like it was years ago. No one ever answers the phone. It just rings and rings. Sometimes they just put it off the hook and you get a busy signal for hours. Today was suppose to get my social security check. I get it every month on the 3rd. New post man. Put it in someone else's box. No answer at the post office. I had to go down there. They said someone would get back to me by 5 pm when they close. Well they are closed now . No phone call. The phone is off the hook as always. No good
customer care. They should fire all of them. Drain that swamp too...
These guys suck. Get everybody's mail in my neighborhood in my box. Complained several times. Keeps happening. Certified mail comes to my house and all I get is a slip saying they missed me. Too lazy to get out of the truck and knock on my door. Now I have to find time out of my busy day to get to the post office. Get to the the post office and they tell me the letter is out for delivery. Complete and total incompetence. Disgusted.
I live in Johnston RI. My mail keep going missing on numerous occasions. I want to give people about the benefit of the doubt too often I am expecting mail and they never show. I am forced to use my work address now because of it. Something is not right with this.
Worst experience ever!!!!!! I called the Johnston post office and the lady helping me (not really) by the name of Melissa was so RUDE. She was pretty much yelling at me the whole time. Who does this lady think she is?!
Well, I live in Johnston, RI, and put mail out this morning at 6:30AM before going to work. Arrived home at 4PM and voila the mail is still waiting to be picked up! Called the Johnston post office several times and go figure the phone just rings and rings and rings. I have also previously had the door left open in the rain and all the mail inside the box is wet! Come on, I sometimes don't like doing what I do, but being an RN, I can't just tell my patients sorry, can't get to you today!
Just bought a house in Johnston that has a mailbox at the door. Mail man delivered our first mail and asked that we switch to a street pole within the week. He never said he would hold our mail until we switched over. We went without mail for two weeks where we found out it was all on hold until the switch was made. They allowed the door box for an older women but won't allow it for a disabled veteran. Trying to get a hold of Bob (the supervisor at the Johnston location) is IMPOSSIBLE, whenever we call or go in he is never there. This is very upsetting because seeing we just purchased the home, we are waiting for all important mail- all that is being held from us due to laziness. I understand they have certain requirements but when they don't communicate things properly it only makes things worse. Plus the next door neighbors all have one at the door and not the street.... Weird how some rules only apply to some. But again, it's impossible to discuss this with BOB because he's never at work. If only these guys weren't so lazy to walk an extra 30 feet to the door maybe this wouldn't be an issue.
Hello everyone, I'm fed up with Johnston Post Office, two times in the past three months, I complain to two managers at Johnston Post Office, there's nothing wrong with my mail box, the door closes properly, the delivery personnel do not care if your mail is secure in the mail box, look where I found a very important income tax document, thank you Johnston Post Office for doing a responsible job, I know few people are looking for work and will like the job and do it right!
