No one answers their phone at the Chambersburg post office. When you call you are told the call is being transferred to the operator, and the phone rings and rings and rings. After three minutes and 20 seconds it disconnects. What a way to run a business. Wait a minute, it’s not a business it’s the government. But maybe it should be a business and this wouldn’t happen!

Chambersburg, PA post office posted phone number is 717-263-8581 however no one ever answers. A recording tells you that your call is being transfered to the next available agent. It ring until the system has hangs up. I've dial it several times and it's always the same on any day.

The mail delivery is pathetic. I was to receive a package on11/3/2021. The status was "out for delivery." It should have been DELIVERED!! Instead the next status says AVAILABLE for PICK UP. I don't have a way to the post office and I don't work for the post office! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

I just found out our mail carrier is forging my husband’s name on certified mail! Isn’t this a crime, especially since we never gave permission for him/her to act as our agent?

I received a package on Wednesday . It was sitting on my porch in the pouring down rain. No the mail lady didn’t even knock on the door, or put the package in a bag . When I went to pick it up the whole box fell apart. My contents were totally drenched. I tried to call the post office for two days now and no one will answer. This carrier has done other things in the past. I’ve had to call several times about things she has done. If you can’t do your job right then quit, let someone who appreciates their job have yours.

I placed an order with check for stamps in my mailbox 23rd-24th July. Nothing received to date...July 31st.

Absolutely deplorable service. I've been waiting for an Amazon delivery for 3 days. For 2 days they say "attempted delivery." There is no excuse for this. 78 W. Washington St. is a secure building, but there is a keypad to the right of the door that allows carrier to put in apt. number and press the green bell so that the person's whose name is on the package can open the door allowing the carrier to bring the package in the building. I really don't believe any attempt was made.

Short staffed with office staff and for carriers. The packages from Amazon is getting out of control interfering with regular mail said one. I think that amazon needs to create their OWN transport/delivery or useFEDEX, UPS or other--not USPS.

Did our mailman take the day off? It's 930 pm on a Monday and we havent seen him today... I guess we just arent getting our mail....

My address: 750 Country View Dr Chambersburg, PA 17202. Our mail delivery has been unreliable for the last 2 months. At first I attributed it to Xmas holidays. However, yesterday, 1/8/21 I placed mail in my box, put up the flag and it was never picked up. This is not the first time this has occurred! I retrieved the mail on 1/9/21 and mailed it At Fayetteville post office.. What’s going on? PLEASE RESPOND!

I have used this post office for years with never an issue. . . Until this year. I’ve had 2 packages missing & went in person to ask about them. I was told the manager would get back to me the next day. Nothing. I called (good luck with that). Even worse. So, I added to my address to put packages between my doors. Again, disappointment. This post office is about as inept as they come.

June,29,2020 My mail box was left open again, Had called a supervisor twice before, but seems this does not help.I seen 6 also open on Talhelm coming home.Seems like it only happens when the temp. delivers. i ordered a book and it said it arrived here on 6/11/20 and then it said it would come on 6/12/20 and it still didn't and today is 6/17/20 i don't know what happened but it better arrive today.

Once again my mail has been delivered to the wide open country side. The Mail carrier CANNOT seem to close the door on the mail box. My mail subsequently blew out of the box and all over the road and yard. Hope I found all of it. There were a few bills blowing around which I did retrieve. May come as a surprise to most people there is no regulation saying the carrier needs to close the door on the mail box. Too bad if your mail gets blown away the carrier did his job delivered the mail not his problem if it blows away. I have instructed my family if I am struck by a car while getting my mail from the road, they should sue Chambersburg Post Office, Post Mistress and mail carrier for causing my injuries and or death. Where oh where is there any caring about doing the job the right way. Oh yes that's right they have a union so they really don't need to do it right just show up and do half a_ _ work.

This is the 4th time in 3 months that tracking has indicated "delivered in/around mail box and it is NOT in/around mail box. It has not been delivered as indicated. Usually what happens is that it is delivered the next day. So what, mail person is incompetent and can deliver mail right so lies on the tracking? Totally unacceptable!

Once again, the sub had the key for the package box in the wrong box. Luckily, I was home to deliver the package to it’s proper recipient. Also, according to my “informed delivery” I am missing mail, but it may come tomorrow. In the past my package was delivered to the wrong house by the sub and I have received mail in my box addressed to another person, which I delivered to them. And mail has been brought to me by other neighbors. This sub has to do a better job. If someone is not home for days, the mail that someone is waiting for, and possibly important mail, will just sit there. Other neighbors have complained about the same thing. This carelessness has to be addressed and stopped!

How can I stop getting all the JUNK mail I get all the time?? And why do I get junk mail with my ex-husband's name on who hasn't lived at this address since 1988 all of a sudden?? How can I stop getting any junk mail - period?? Thanks

How much is a po box year

This post office consistently takes the phone off the hook, to keep customers from reaching the Post Office during posted business hours. In my estimation this is not an acceptable practice for any place of business government run or otherwise.

My mail that was being held was to be delivered on Friday, July 15. It was not. Nor was it delivered on July 16. The regular postman who is very good was on vacation. The sub failed to deliver the held mail. Our Saturday's mail was delivered but not what had been held for two weeks. Make sure it is delivered on Monday.

I was in to pick up mail that was on hold, granted for a long time, but the young girl was very rude! She ripped my hold card up and said all my mail would now be returned to sender! Must be nice working for the government, because any other business she would be fired for how nasty she was!

Trying to pay box renewal and can't. Had this box over 25 years and cant pay the renewal. Why because they fill it with junk mail and the box goes into over flow status before we get there. Nothing like getting 25 copies each Wednesday of coupons.
