I mailed a letter on may 3rd through the outdoor mail box. The letter included a check for payment to a business in norristown, pa. It has not arrived. It is now May 16. I’ve heard post office mail boxes have been targeted for theft. My other concern is the letter stuck inside the box?

May 14, 2022 I have not received one political mailer in several weeks, possibly 2 months. Someone I know in Norristown showed me his pile of political mailers. Is the Ambler Post Office withholding political mailers? Isn’t this illegal?

The inside and outside (delivery) staff at this post office spends more time trying to game the system, than they do trying to deliver the mail properly, accurately, and in a timely manner. The carrier stuffs mail into boxes without even a half second glance, because sorting it isn't his/her job. You'll get your neighbor's mail, they'll get yours, and it's up to the you to figure out where it might be. Some carriers will scan items delivered when they haven't even been to your house yet, so if they happen to miss actually putting your item in your mailbox, good luck trying to prove it. If they run late, or the wrong truck has your package, they'll just scan it as delivered, because they have to "stop the clock" on the tracking. Delivering late is just the same as on time to the employees at this post office. The sorters/throwers sometimes toss things into the wrong trucks or bins. No big deal to them. Someone will just scan it delivered, and ACTUALLY deliver it when they get around to it. Want your mail forwarded? Good luck. Some mail gets forwarded, but random important mail don't. No pattern at all. Need to call them? They'll never answer. Yet, if you go over their heads to get information, they'll be annoyed with you. If not for the fact that you seemingly can't ever be fired from that job, these people wouldn't have jobs. No "real" business would tolerate their attitudes or their performance.

Mail was to be held from 9/29-10/17. Mail stopped being delivered on 9/23. Went and picked it up at post office verified dates and mail has been delivered again beginning this week every day. Thank God i have kind neighbors willing to pick it up. I notified with new stop/hold yesterday only to be told that there is already a hold on that address. Maybe someone needs to tell the mail man.

I just got called the Ambler office and the phone rang for about 5 minutes and no one answered? This office does not close until 5 so I’m wondering why they stopped answering the phones at 4:25 pm?

Does this location take the phone off the hook when they start the day. I have called for two days and all I get is a busy signal.
