Postal Locations

Just a few days ago, a large envelope was left on the bottom of our mailbox, on the ground, outside! The mailbox is several feet away from our home, but just straight down a driveway. A very light piece a mail that could not fit the size of our box, was left lying on the ground, in the open and in a plastic bag... this was Vinita's Postal delivered method?! We are very appalled by this delivery! With Oklahoma winds, how often can something get picked up by the wind? I would say more often than not. This is truly, unacceptable. I am reporting this immediately. If an envelope is too large or does not fit in the box - I'm sure you are NOT in compliance to just leave it on the ground in a plastic bag. How important this documentation could have been to just be left outside below the mailbox? It would have taken the person no less then 2 min to pull up in the driveway and walk it to the steps/front porch at least, was it an inconvenience to do so? So, they must have assumed it would be okay to just leave it on the ground in front of the box? This is not proper. Unacceptable Vinita, Craig Country Postal! Your postal service delivery personal need to freshen up on Government regulations on delivery methods and acceptability of USPS rules and expectations. Again, this will be reported to through the proper chain of commands and re-education and training should be established promptly.
