Yesterday, 09/22/18 at 12pm a postal worker ran over our beloved family dog at my parent's home. She suffered large lacerations on her stomach that required emergency care, extensive pain management, a surgery, and wound care for the many weeks or possibly months that follow. What disheartens us is the fact that after she clearly ran our large 3yr old German Shepard over, instead of stopping to notify us or come to her aid she proceeded to continue to drive as we heard an excruciating scream from our dog as she was dragging her way back to our home. We are disgusted, disappointed, and quite frankly angered that anyone would be so heartless. I write this as our sweet dog is on a IV pain drip in ICU at the emergency vet awaiting surgery for her lacerations. I hope this issue is taken seriously and addressed. This incident happened in Piedmont, OK.
