Since Angie retired our mail service across the board has deteriorated. Everything from mail holds, temporary change of address requests, getting other people’s mail, to simple daily delivery Monday thru Saturday has been atrocious. Not only does the phone not get answered so we can voice our concerns, there’s no email associated with that location. A lot of important materials including medications come thru the mail but with the service we’re receiving in the 43209 area, we might as well be rolling the dice in Vegas when it comes to mail delivery and USPS services. If they were a private business they would have folded a long time ago due to customer decline. Unfortunately we don’t have that option .

For over a month, the Bexley Post Office's phone has been not working. It answers, sends one to an "operator" rings a bit and then hangs up. There was someone who lied who about a two weeks ago who said that the phone would be fixed. No business phone should be broken or not answered for such a long period of time. Total inefficient. Also total inefficient is the rather expensive resend mail to another address temporarily service. For many years, it worked well. This year, abysmal. I guess this "service" is all part of an attempt to destroy the national post office service as mandated in the US Constitution. At the same time, it is hurting people who depend upon it being efficient and working as well as it used to and providing a service needed by many in the USA who don't have a private jet or helicopter flying their information and important documents and/or medicines to them.

Packages are consistently delivered to the wrong address and I either have to hunt them down or just don't get them. It is incredibly frustrating.

EVER SINCE JEFF RETIRED FROM THIS ROUTE, OUR MAIL DELIVERY HAS BEEN HORRIBLE. ITS A GUESSING GAME ON WHAT DAYS WE MIGHT SEE MAIL?? WHAT A SHAME. LIKE EVERY OTHER BUSINESS TRYING TO SURVIVE IN THESE TIMES, WE HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN, SO THE COMPETITION DOES NOT EAT US ALIVE!!! FED EX, UPS AND NOW AMAZON. SERVICE IS EVERYTHING

No delivery for 2 weeks because 1 person is out is unexceptable. I see my informed mail photos but don't receive. I see bills, tax info, birthday cards on Monday and still haven't received by Thursday. Who is sorting the mail and putting in correct boxes ? They have to care and reliable mail delivery is a law. This is terrible. Whitehall, Reynoldsburg. Berwick, Downtown, they don't have an issue. Bexley Ohio Post Office needs investigating. This is now impacting people's Lives in a Disastrous way.

What is going on at the Bexley post office? I get mail maybe every other day, sometimes as late as 7 or 8 pm. On Tuesday (Aug, 30) I got 2 bills that were due in JULY, plus a postcard reminding me that the primary was Aug. 2. I am paying late fees because you are 6 weeks behind on deliveries.Totally unacceptable. A response is requested.

We go days without mail and we are a business. The substitute postal carrier's week to deliver our mail and we get nothing. I know for a fact that I was supposed to receive a package on Monday. It is now Wednesday and we have not heard or seen our mail carrier. I'm not the only one complaining. The other businesses in our center complain about not receiving mail on a weekly basis. We have now been using UPS in an effort to get receive and send mail. It is more reliable than the Bexley post office.

Packages being left on ground or garages at Plantation Lakes Condos. July 4th weekend 3 pkgs were left at my garage by USPS and were all stolen. Today 7/30 my pkg was thrown in the bush next to the mailboxes. Thank goodness I got to it before the thieves in the neighborhood did. There is a note to not leave pkgs at garage or mailboxes but obviously ur employees do not read. I have asked that pkgs that do not fit in mailbox be taken to our front door. I have a fence and have not had an issue with ur employees not taking pkgs to front door until this month. Lazy?? I do not have issues with pkgs being stolen when they r brought to the front door. The mail that I sent to Mail right here in Columbus Ohio has not been delivered. The service rendered was PACKAGE 1 "Overnight mail" and one to the ODJFS and local mail gave both to window attendee and asked if the local mail needed more postage. She weighed it and said no,but asked me to put return address on letter which I did, but Medicade hasn't received my documents. It was mailed 2 weeks ago. Where is my important documents!!!!..They were NEVER SENT to the local office intended. They have yet to receive it.

I went to Charleston, SC for a week for my daughter's wedding. I put in a hold for my mail so it wouldn't alert burglars I was out of town for a week. The hold was submitted on April 3 to be held from April 5th to April 12th. I didn't start receiving any mail until April 15th. After numerous attempts to get my held mail the Bexley supervisor is now telling me I have no held mail. It is absolutely unrealistic and implausible that I received no mail for a week and a half. I am livid as I have no idea what mail they lost that was destined for my mailbox. Irresponsible at the least and possibly illegal but how do I prove it? I'm very disappointed that the supervisor told me days ago that my held mail would be delivered and now the same supervisor tells me there is no held mail.

It is now 7:15 PM & the mail is STILL NOT delivered to the Plantation Lakes area. Such poor service. Very unreliable. This is normal & a disgrace that we can't have mail delivered at a decent hour. I remember when you could set your clock when the mail was going to be delivered. What is the problem?

I want to let the Post Office know what a wonderful employee they have. Rick delivers mail to Bexley City hall and the surrounding neighborhood. He is such a pleasant individual, always has a smile and goes out of his way to take care of the folks on his route. This day and age you hear so much negative and I just wanted to share something good. Thank you for hiring such an outstanding man - he is very much appreciated!!

Once again pieces of mail , dropped in the outside box at the post office ( because of distancing) have not been delivered to family in San Francisco or Florida. The postage was correct and there was a return address on each envelope. They were handmade birthday cards for special people in my life. For the last two years Halloween cards have not been delivered either. Sad to say, I usually go to the post office off Steltzer. I take my packages to Capital University . But every time I give that post office a chance, it lets me down. How come other post offices deliver fast and effectively? I gave these cards 8 days. If we vote by mail, I will urge everyone NOT to go to the Bexley Post Office because it will be lost in its black hole!!!

Once again, the Bexley PO has claimed to have delivered an item that I ordered...and maybe they did...but it certainly wasn't to me. They have lost or stolen close to $1K of my merchandise at this point. The worst post office in the country, probably. The postmaster general should shut the place down.

I am writing on behalf of an elderly mother who lives in Berwick, 43209 and is having trouble with her service. Many times she receives neighbors mail and she will need to deliver it to them. Other times she has not received mail for a 4 day stretch or possibly a neighbor will bring her mail left in their box. She is MOST concerned about the days without mail ! !

I live at 269 N Chesterfield Rd Apt 9b Columbus OH 43209. I am disabled and am home most of the time. I have had an ongoing problem with delivery of packages and anything that requires a signature. No attempt is made to obtain my signature and give me the package or envelope. Instead, a peach colored piece of paper is put in my mailbox. I sign the form and check the box that says to please deliver to my front door. The next day, the paper is gone and nothing is delivered to me. I have to go to the PO and request the item. I understand that mail carriers are very busy, but the quality of service has steadily gone down. It is a hardship for me to get a ride to the PO and I believe the mail carrier should follow what is on the peach form. Staff at the actual Bexely OH PO are kind and efficient. I cannot say the same about the person that is supposed to deliver mail. Sincerely, Melinda (Mindy) Diltz

I was also in line at the Bexley post office on Saturday morning, but left and returned later around lunchtime. There was only one counter worker, who was very nice and working as fast as he could. It is odd that an organization which deals heavily in mail at Christmas time would not be staffed better on a Saturday in December. I picked up mail that had been held while I was away. But I have not had any mail delivered to my house since my "return date" I put on the Hold card before my vacation--7 days without any mail? I tried to call the hotline and was told by machine I would have at least a 48 minute wait. Again, poor staffing decisions. Who has 48 minutes to wait on the phone? I then called the Bexley post office directly and let the phone ring until it automatically ended the call. I have been a 43209 resident for much of my 64 years. In the past year, the employees have changed and are now as pleasant as those at, say, the Town and Country office, which is a welcome relief...but management has put this office under the gun and I feel bad for the folks who have to face the public and take criticism because the office is being badly managed.

Hands down the worst post office ever! Sat 12-8-18 I arrived at their opening time, 9 AM to check my PO Box and pick up packages. I FINALLY left at 9:33 AM. The lobby still was NOT open. We rang their doorbell, knocked on doors and talked to workers through your PO Boxes. At 9:33 - 33 MINUTES AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO BE OPEN- an employee FINALLY peeked his head out a door and said they were having “system problems”. There were AT LEAST 15 people in line, waiting for the lobby to open. He could / would not share how much longer we would have to wait!!! This would never be tolerated by non- government bussinesses. PATHETIC!

I’ve tried calling and no one answers. Obviously they simply ignore phone calls! Horrible service. I’ve even tried calling the “boss” and the phone is always busy. Might the phone be left off the hook intentionally? I think so.

This post office frequently will claim a package was delivered but not actually deliver for several more days. I suspect this is intended to defraud the companies which ship with them by claiming a higher level of service than was actually delivered. I suggest anyone this happens to should file an investigation report with the postmaster whenever they have a tracking number that comes up delivered but that was not.

We have lived in Bexley for 10 years, over this time the post office has declined rapidly in service. They are rude at the counter, slow to establish any type of helpful service, and most importantly do not deliver mail properly. We are tired of arriving home to mail that is not ours or packages that have not been delivered. Often we receive notices that the packages were not delivered due to a “blocked receptacle” when we have a large covered porch and standard sized mail box on the porch. So very disappointed in the service.
