OMG! How long mail takes to get to my door, if it gets here at all. Since 202 mail delivery has been awful. Local city mail, which normally took three days now takes 5-7 days from the day it was postmarked. Everything else 7-10 days.
Also, the maps the delivery people use are inaccurate. Google and Bing have not been updated in 7 years. I have lost several packages due to them being delivered to the wrong address.
I am currently waiting for a package that was out for delivery Saturday. They couldn't find my house. Today, it was delivered, but to someone else, again.
On top of everything else, in order to send mail, you have to now go to the post office. Envelopes can and will sit in the home mailbox for days on end, with a flag up, telling me no carrier has been within eyesight of my mailbox for at least that length of time.
Who ever is in charge has to go.
I changed my address permanently to Michigan on June 15th. I have not received any forwarded mail except for the first 2 days. I was informed by former neighbors who were informed by the post man that my box is full and there are some small packages. I received a notification from the USPS that my change of address was on file and my mail would be forwarded for a year. Would you please talk with the postman for my address and see what the problem is and forward all the accumulated mail. Thank You. Joan Carlson
I live in Ithaca (Cayuga Heights) Mail for the entire bld. has been rubber banded and left in the lobby and also OUTSIDE of the building. We have locked mail boxes. This is identity theft waiting to happen. I have called the PO but only got a prerecording that did not list this problem.
I live at 181 Lansingville road. I am getting mail in my neighbors mail box's, and not getting at mine. All the mail box's are marked. I also have not been getting the shopper. Would you please talk to the driver and make sure he puts my Mail in my box. Thank you
In Mid -December 2021 the Ithaca Journal and USA Today papers stopped home delivery and assured us that the change to delivery by US Mail would be timely etc.. It has been only 2 weeks and there have been days when the papers were not delivered, or delivered 1 or 2 days late, or one paper delivered and one not. I hope it is not our carrier at fault, but I don't know how the publishers are getting the papers to the post office and then to the carriers in time for them to pick up for daily delivery. please look into this.
The Postmaster at this location needs to be investigated for discriminating against handicap people. It took over a year to find out what was required to receive 'hardship delivery to a elderly, terminally ill, handicap woman who lives alone with no friends locally or family to get info for 'hardship delivery' Once the doctor sent the required documents, way back in May no delivery began and it's almost October, she doesn't even get notices at her door when people send her'expensive' return receipts or special $$$ deliveries. It's very poor management!
This location needs to be investigated or totally replace all the management ! As stated by many others They do not answer the phone . They have failed to complete a pick up request on several occasions making customer orders arriving late therefore reflecting on me with negative reviews . I see they are hiring now with no experience needed with a starting salary of 72,000 , WOW , how many of us would like to get paid that generous salary and not have to know nothing !!!! Our tax dollars at work , really sad !!!
Our family has not had mail delivered since February 13th. I have called the Warren Road post office several times and 1) it rings forever, 2) someone picks up and immediately hangs up on me, or 3) it rings for a very long time and then switches to a busy signal. I had hoped to understand when mail delivery will resume. I'm a loyal USPS customer, and just looking for some help. There's nothing on the website to report issues like this, which may be an opportunity to improve customer service.
Absolutely horrendous service to college students. Mail thrown in hall, not in mailboxes. My granddaughter has not received mail that I and other relatives have sent since Nov even though she has a locked mailbox. Gift cards and checks have gone astray. Did not get returned.
We are to receive the USA Today subscription daily via the post office. At least once a week and sometimes twice a week, we receive no paper. The late paper is delivered a day or two later with old news. Would someone please look into this for us. Thank you.
Whenever I schedule a pickup using the web tool, no one comes. If you can’t actually do it, why do you waste my time? I have a package sitting on my porch that was supposed to be picked up today. Now I have to wait until Tuesday because of the holiday. This is the second time it has happened, and I’ve only tried it a couple of times.
I like everything about this post office. The staff are very helpful.

I recently had some bills/birthday cards sent out through my mailbox in effort to quarantine and social distance instead of going to the most office. While sitting in my living room, I watched the mail carrier drive right by my mailbox with the flag up. When she came back down the road I tried to flag her down to show her the flag was up, but she looked at me and drive away. Just frustrating
We, along with others, live in Horizon Villages in Ithaca, NY. Our mail is delivered sporadically at various times throughout the week. E.G. Today is Saturday, it is 4:55 pm. and as yet, non of us has received our mail. Often, it comes between 1:30-2:30 pm. The problem is us not knowing when our outgoing mail will be picked up as some of that mail is time sensitive. Why does this problem continue to happen?
Does anyone know who to contact regarding rekeying the lock to a community mailbox. Property management told us to contact postal service. Ours is broken. I tried calling the office, but no one answered.
TERRIBLE. called for 25mins, not a single person picked up the phone! Had a package 'sent back to sender' with absolutely no communication possible because no one would answer the phone! only directed to call ASK-USPS from 800 number.
This office is horribly managed. To make carriers deliver mail on THANKSGIVING is horrible. NO ONE NEEDS MAIL OR PACKAGES ON THANKSGIVING. these are people with families who are not robots. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Clearly the post master at this office doesn’t know ANYTHING about managing an office. Despicable. Most people are away and won’t even get their packages. I’m sure many people will lose their packages due to theft. Not sure what’s wrong with this office or why it’s managed so horribly. What’s wrong with the management here. Heartless idiots!
I'm leaving in a couple days to go south for the holidays. I've been expecting a delivery that I need before I leave. I was told it was scheduled to be delivered by 8:00pm on 12/9 but I never received it. I called the 800 # to track it and the message said my pkg. delivery was delayed and the status would be updated when available. On 12/ll, I called in the morning to track it again and the message said my pkg. was rec'd. at the Ithaca Post Office at 7:40am that morning. I called a little later for an update and the message said the delivery was scheduled to be delivered at my address at 9:51am on 12/11. I never received it nor did I receive any mail on 12/11. I kept calling for an update and right up until I went to bed at 10:30pm the message kept telling me the pkg. was scheduled to be delivered at 9:51am on 12/ll. This morning (12/12) I called again and a new message said my pkg. delivered was delayed and the status would be updated when available. If they had the pkg. and couldn't deliver it to me yesterday, I could have gone to the post office and picked it up myself if they'd have just called me. Quite frustrated at this point.
I had a package that the carrier listed as being delivered to our address at 1:28pm 7/19/17...but it was not delivered...there were 3 other packages that were delivered but not the 4th one....I called and called the Warren Rd location and no answer. I think called the 800# and the nice lady took down the pkg # and said that it appeared that he delivered it to a different number on out street, but there is no such number....so she filed a report to the Warren Rd Ithaca, NY location telling them that it was the wrong number...well today we get home and, when tracking the number now, it says that the package could not be delivered because it apparently has the wrong address.....carrier delivers all the time to us and knows our names so why did he not deliver the 4th package along with the other 3 all addressed to the same name???????????????
This is not the first time that we have had an issue with this carrier...he drops boxes off on our deck in the pouring rain or snow and never rings the door bell.....so when we get them - everything is soaked thru.....very poor service - he runs out of gas and comes to the door and asks if we can help him....my husband goes out to get gas for him and he gets back into truck and expects my husband (who is disabled) to put the gas in the tank...and then not even a thank you. I use to deliver mail in Rochester and I would have been fired if I did even 1/2 of the stuff that this carrier does.
My package was delivered up on the hill where there is no number that matches my house number. There are people here at the park that do care, because a kind lady brought my package to my house. She should get that carrier's paycheck.
Terrible service terrible post handler (blonde lady who delivers to college town terrace needs to be held accountable) This lady had my $1,500 rerouted to a whole other address which is fraud on her behalf. She did this as a warning because I ship my items 2-3 times a week at the designated drop off area and she says I have to schedule a local pick up. This is not true, because a customer can choose if he or she wants the service or else there would not be a designated drop off area with a USPS signs with an area pointing down and tubs to place boxes in. (in reality she is too lazy to carry 1-2 small envelopes to her car a few times a week). She harasses me, throws my mail, yells at me and leaves threatening letters. My boxes frequently go missing and she is the one responsible for this. She also often asks me what is inside my packages and delivers me my mail in an open state, meaning she opens my packages. She needs to be fired. If she doesn't like her she should not be working at usps. I have provided proof to the post office and have did everything in my power to have someone talk to her and still no luck. The Ithaca post office does not care about their customers.
I wish it was easier to find the phone number, but when I called, the phone was picked up right away by "Bill" who identified himself by name and answered my question about the order of baby chicks I expected today. He assures me they will call as soon as the chicks arrive. I have received many orders of chicks through the Ithaca Post Office and most have been without difficulty, but one arrived with almost all of the chicks dead or dying. The problem wasn't necessarily the Ithaca Post Office, but the staff person who checked the box for me - at my request because the chicks were 'too quiet' - literally screamed and jumped back from the counter when she saw the state of the chicks. Really - that wasn't very professional! Hopefully neither of us will ever have to go through that again!
We called # 607-375-6004 (Thanks, TK!), and it was answered. We had given an incorrect address for our daughter's birthday present and the package was sitting at the local post office in Ithaca. The USPS person who picked up the phone found our package in their facility, correct the address on our package, and will have it redelivered today on her birthday. We are very happy by this great service from USPS!
We have only been here a week, but twice so far our outgoing mail, which was left sticking out of our mailbox, has been on the ground because the mailman opens the box to put mail IN, but let's the outgoing mail fall on the ground.
I just called the 607-375-6004 number and was extremely pleased with the customer service that I received. I shipped a package to the wrong house and now Im getting it sent back. All extremly easy and done well!
Seriously the most incompetent business I have ever had to deal with. They lost one of my packages, and the other package that was delivered was opened and stapled back together. I have spent f***ing hours first calling USPS, then given the phone number of my local USPS, which is this one, and have been trying to reach someone on the phone for the past hour. Not only do they not pick up the phone, but someone DID pick it up ONCE out of my 20 times and I could hear talking in the background but no one answered me--someone probably accidentally picked up the phone like they're f***ING SUPPOSED TO. All other times are call waiting or it keeps ringing and then the call ends. If anyone else has to deal with this bullshit or has the means to go to the post office and tell them in person after reading all of these pissed off comments, let them f***ing know and do a public service for us and everyone else in the future who has to deal with their f***ing incompetence. If you're reading this and you're also pissed, I feel you. f*** this. f*** them. I'm done.
"Attempted delivery"? No delivery attempt was made! There was no knock on my door, and NO pink slip left telling me that someone was here to deliver my package - if I hadn't had online tracking, I'd be screwed. So unprofessional, and no one even picks up the phone. I've been at home all day waiting for this mail and I find out they don't even try to deliver my package...
No answer on the phone! And the delivery guy clearly did NOT knock on the door or even attempt to give me my package. I was here at the time of delivery and did not hear a thing. Mind you, I can hear EVERYTHING that goes on this house. I got 2 day delivery FOR A REASON.
607-375-6004 is the correct number. After trying the one listed on the USPS website for this PO and all the other numbers mistakenly listed here, I finally got to talk to someone at that PO. The PO should keep their website updated!
We paid express mail fee to have 15 chicks (baby chickens) sent overnight to us. Tracking info in the morning said that our chicks had departed Kansas City at 3:30 AM and were scheduled for delivery at 3PM today. It is now 9PM, that remains the latest tracking info available, and our chicks have not been delivered. At 4:30 PM I decided to drive to the post office with my tracking number and the available tracking info printed out. When I got to the post office, they told me that our chicks had been there, a carrier who lives in our direction had talked to my wife on the phone and had delivered the chicks. When I got home, the chicks were not here and my wife had not gotten any call. What did they do with them? They will not survive another night as cold as it is tonight.
The number listed Phone: 607-266-0570 is no longer a working number (just rings and rings). I asked for a supervisor at the 1-800 number and they provided me with the new # 607-375-0570, and someone answered right away!.
I just tried calling 2 times at 4 pm and NO ONE answered my calls.... I rec'd a package a week or so ago and it was in between the mailboxes ( NOT IN MY MAILBOX, IF U had folded it the package would have fit ) DAMN glad it wasnt stolen ..... Now Im expecting a few more packages and I HOPE they ARE put in my mailbox
