I put 24cent stamp & the guy charged me for full stamp rather than the difference. I saw there was something off about him...

Had my NYS registration sent to my address. 2 times I got an email saying it was delivered and in my mailbox (I have the usps email that that tells me what's being delivered with photos of the piece)only to go out and find out that it wasn't there. Went into the post office to ask if it was on hold or something and was met with a horrible attitude(despite me being pleasant) wouldn't provide any answer or even pretend to act like he cared about my problum. Asked if he could call me when the mail delivery guy gets back and walked away without taking my number. Made him come back to get my number in which he acted like I was a burdon. Went home and never got a call. The next day I call the NYS DMV and ask them to confirm my address. Everything they had was correct. The nice lady on the phone looked into it and told me that the mail was being returned(for no reason at all) by the post office. Had them send it again this time to my work address. Got it no problum. This post office is the worst one I have ever encountered. And the attitudes and customer service is beyond horrid. I will happily pay extra to avoid using gb post office from now on.

HUGE COMPLAINT REGARDING INSULT BY POST OFFICE EMPLOYEE ABOUT A PACKAGE REFUSAL AND RETURN TO SENDER REQUEST: .On Monday 2/11/19 I took a package I had received in the mail back to the post office in Goldens Bridge to return to the sender . I wrote REFUSED AND RETURN on the outside of package. I NEVER OPENED THE PACKAGE. I was insulted publicly by the man at the desk, claiming the package "had been opened and he would not accept it." I NEVER OPENED THE PACKAGE AND HE VIRTUALLY CALLED ME A LIAR AND WOULDN'T TAKE THE PACKAGE TO RETURN TO SENDER. Now I know the rules. I follow the rules. However, as I told the man, I knew the contents of the package based on the sender's business name and address. In fact, as I told him, it was a black knit dress I had ordered FOR MY EX-HUSBAND'S FUNERAL. I told the man the package in fact arrived AFTER HIS FUNERAL AND BURIAL; thus I was returning the dress in the UNOPENED PACKAGE. He proceeded to peel back the clear packaging tape and told me again that it had been opened. I advised him that HE JUST PULLED BACK THE TAPE....NOT ME. He would not accept this package to return it for me following my ex- husband's funeral which was already done on 1/30/19. So the implication was that I was a LYING WIDOW TRYING TO SCREW THE U.S. POST OFFICE. I have never, ever been so insulted and publicly defamed and hurt in my entire life. Of note, I took said package to post office in Katonah and they took it back right away to be returned to the sender. No questions even asked. This was the most humiliating and personally insulting act I think I have ever, ever been exposed to. I was treated like a criminal by the man working the desk. There was another person waiting behind me....so this was a public mockery and insult. I deserve an immediate apology by the Post Office. HOW DARE HE INSULT ME LIKE THIS AFTER MY EXHUSBAND' DEATH AND BURIAL.SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON HIM...AND I'M SURE HE'S NOT THE TYPICAL POSTAL WORKER I'VE MET AT ANY OTHER POST OFFICE EVER. I HOPE HE IS SPOKEN TO ABOUT HIS LACK OF EMPATHY, SYMPATHY, AND RUDENESS ACCUSING A CUSTOMER OF LYING. I DO HOPE THERE IS A RESPONSE TO THIS NOTE. SHAME, SHAME ON THE GOLDENS BRIDGE POST OFFICE. I AM A 10 YEAR RESIDENT OF THIS TOWN HAVING GROWN UP IN THIS AREA AS WELL. THIS WAS DESPICABLE. I'm guessing I won't be availing myself of this post office much any more. Katonah and Somers are SO much nicer to deal with. Oh and by the way: how does this employee have the right to be the sole judge of such situations and HIS word is FINAL without consulting any other employee?? My grown children just lost their father and I lost my ex-husband. I TOLD HIM THAT. The lack of empathy and proper respectable treatment is astounding. This was mean and despicable. You just lost one of your customers. Permanently.
