This is the worst post office. I have not received any mail in 3 days. My son and I are both waiting for packages and our tracking indicated mine was to be delivered on Wednesday and his on Friday. I tried calling the post office for an hour. The phone just rings. If we failed to pay our taxes would the government be that understanding for us

My wife and I go through periods when our mailman from the Gansevoort NY post office simply doesn't show up. This is one of those weeks (June 20 & 21 so far ...) When we call their local number no one answers. This is not only frustrating, it's potentially costly because we get bills we have to pay on time and important documents we sometimes have to respond to in a timely manner. This slovenly so-called service is annoying and our inability to contact the office is ridiculous. (What's more, they get 90 minutes for lunch? Because they work so hard during the day?)

We are concerned that our carrier cannot read. For over 6 months we all get one another's mail. We think there is a reading problem

Since our original mail delivery person left our mail service has deteriorated. The delivery service we are receiving now is laughable. It would be funny if it wasn’t such an important part of our life. Just this past week we have had 3 instances, two boxes containing Christmas gifts from Amazon were totally ripped open but still delivered. The third was an American Express Envelope that was open very carefully all the way across so that the statement was hanging out. We are still waiting for delivery of a gift card which was to be delivered on December 11th, it has not shown its face in our mailbox yet. Today is December 19th, we are still waiting. If we had the option of demanding that our products that we purchased be delivered by other sources, not the Gansevoort post office we definitely would take that step.

Our mail lady complains about the amount of packages delivered to my address (which is also a place of business) and wanted me to know “the stores are open.” Well guess what, Judy? We’re in a pandemic. The inventory in stores is very, very limited. Not to mention, I am not willing to risk my family’s health. Please do your job and keep your judgments to yourself. Thanks.

On going problem of not all receiving my mail. Multiple occasions of letters from the same location mailed with the exact same, correct address. I receive one but not the second. I have made multiple calls complaining only to be told new carriers are being hired and trained. Apparently it's possible to have a new carrier every day. Again mail sent from the same place, example. My employer, social security, family members. All with the same address only too receive some of my mail some of the time.

getting extremely poor service. never the same mailman. one speeds when they come down, slams on breaks and skids. leaves mail in wrong mailboxes. leaves others peoples mail comes all different hours. Now i was suppose to receive a package Thursday the 17th. tracking says out for delivery Thursday the 17th. still no package.

worst post office around. we don't get our mail for 3 or 4 days in a row at times. when we do get it its not until 7:30 or 8:00 o'clock at night. have a package was suppose to b delivered on Monday. it shows being out for delivery from post office at 8:15 am Monday . here it is Wednesday and still no package along with no other mail. not the first or second time this happens. has become routine for this post office. something need to be done. constantly getting others mail.

I have had the same problem and needed to have a new check reissued to me. This is not a easy fix when you work for NYS - once again my check has not arrived. My check is stamped payroll. I am having this investigated if it doesn’t arrive by Monday. My neighbor 2 weeks ago frantically was looking for his package going door to door asking us if we got his package. The poor guy came back around asked us again could he look in our mailboxes - he looked in mine and there it was safe and sound but in the WRONG mailbox!

Problem resolved in a timely manner - Post Office is very good. No problems and fast delivery.
