I had repairs being done to my unit , that I disclosed with the supervisor about a few weeks ago. She suggested that I request a mail hold from the post master for 2 month so there isn’t a delay in retrieving my mail. Initially I requested a PO Box and I was willing to collect my mail myself but she informed me it would take some time to re-route. I appreciated the assistance and she advised me to only come 1 a week to retrieve my mail until I can resume regular mail. Unfortunately in that time frame , I was given other people’s mail as well as an entire different addresses mail. When I returned she informed me that the carrier was out with back issues and someone else was in his place so there was confusion with the mail delivery. I’m this climate of COVID & our adjustments to “new normal” I was more than understanding. Especially since an exception was already extended to me. I also informed her that my Informed Delivery stated that I did have mail arriving & because I was waiting for time sensitive information is the reason I returned 2x in a week because there was NO mail for me prior. The supervisor proceeded to inform me that Informed Delivery can be delayed & instructed me to come back after Wednesday for this missing mail. It should arrive by then. Today is Thursday, I went into the office to retrieve my mail, as I was checking emails awaiting at the counter, I was aggressively approached by “B”, who claims to be the head supervisor, who told me that the mail will no longer be held. She proceeded to yell at me and accused me of being a liar. I was taken aback by her aggressive approach , she did not introduce herself, say hello nor ask me for any background information. She came to the counter speaking forcefully at me. I confusingly asked her where this aggression was coming from she slammed the mail that she had for me on the counter - before I had a moment to reply she slammed the window closed on me . I attempted to communicate with the other staff, still in awe as to what transpired & to ask about the post master information as well as hers because she had stormed off & refused to remedy any of my issues. As the clerk was only able to give me her name she hostilely returned as if she wanted to attack me & instructed the remaining staff to not communicate with me at all or give me any information besides writing the phone number down. She told me the post master would be in tomorrow & for me to get out . I asked for her full name and the post master info and she said my name is “Get Out!” I told her I am conducting business here and I haven’t been able to finish and she said she doesn’t care, for me to get out. It is a federal building and if I don’t want to get out I will be forced out. I informed her to do whatever she deems necessary because I did nothing wrong. The staff was terrified to speak to me and at this point I was concerned for my safety. I was shaking in disbelief that - she didn’t take the time to communicate w/ me at all. She humiliated me , embarrassed me and belittled me for no apparent reason. I was even concerned that maybe something personal was going on with her because this was my first encounter with her. She was curt , unprofessional & I’ve never been disrespected by any staff at Farmingdale post office until today. This is a family oriented community and this shouldn’t happen to anyone. It’s simply unfair that you come to get basic customer service & are treated terribly.

I came tonight to the Farmingdale branch at 4:30 when it said the hours are until 5:30 so I thought I was there in plenty of time. I started walking up the walkway and one of the girls yelled out we're closed sorry! And before I could ask why closed the door. Wondering why this occurred when the hours are clearly posted on the website. Thank you!
