This is interesting and sad to find. I get mailed “delivered” from this office and the same issues people spoke on 4years who are still occurring. It’s despicable. When I go in, I immediately go to the supervisor window and tell them to find my package since they don’t want to attempt deliveries. I ask them who holds you accountable for the quality of your service and they literally say “nobody”. I wish the place would just burn down and another office would take up my route while they rebuild a competent staff that follows procedure.

After all these years, the service given at 711 Gun Hill Road has not changed. They may have changed(?) the manager but no improvement. You go into the lobby early in the day filthy. How often do you have a spot check of the area. It is very small how difficult is it to be kept free of paper. The outside, there are trees planted no policing of the sidewalk including cleaning around the trees. The trees will be gone soon because they don't even clean the area. How hard is it do this? The manager comes to work and ignores this task. Service of package delivery - I should be shocked - but has not changed in the last ten years. Some of these employees need to be transferred if they are not doing their duty. Things like this at the local level shows why there is little respect for the Postal Service. CLEAN UP YOUR ACT and AREA.... manager!!!!

This location need to be investigated immediately. The majority of Supervisors are totally inept, at running this loacale in a manner that services the patrons of the community. There are 3 employees that work their asses off, yet are lumped in with the rest of the unprofessional individuals that show up to collect a check they do not earn. The service is horrid and no one who is supposedly in charge has done anything to make improvements or hold the slags who visit (cause they have no concept of what work is) accountable for the lax and unacceptable service. All manners of mail go missing never to be found, and they act as if you should not expect them to service you in a respectful, efficient, and timely manner. My Campaign to have them join the unemployment line begins today.

Former USPS carrier assistant here, 3rd generation USPS employee. This office is incompetent and dishonest. No one answers phones, packages are scanned as "attempted delivery", "no secure location available", and "notice left" at 9:00am, which is actually earlier than it would be physically possible to have made it through the route to attempt delivery. A package of food was sent to me via Guaranteed Express Delivery, and it was scanned without a GPS location prior to the delivery deadline (indicative of an in-office scan, which is against USPS policies as all packages must be scanned on-location...and scanning an express package in this way is a clear attempt to avoid penalties and refunds from a failed guarantee). The package, had delivery truly been attempted as it was claimed via the false scan, would have been handed to me directly, as I was home. Also, there's no reason it could not have been left at the doorstep in the instance that I was not home, as USPS carriers have keys to enter all buildings along each route, our building is quite secure, and it did not require a signature. After a complaint was filed with customer service and investigation was opened, the redelivery occurred 3 days later (with the spoiled food going right in the trash, of course). No supervisor has contacted me to follow up on the investigation. This situation happened again yesterday (without the guaranteed delivery time), with someone being home all day, with the scan happening without a GPS location even before 9am, and without any sort of notice or anything. I called yesterday to request redelivery for today, and they apparently can't be bothered to deliver until Friday. This is a pattern indicative of impeding mail delivery, and this pattern seems to be pervasive across multiple routes, as the multiple complaints here indicate. Impeding mail delivery is a Federal offense. On top of delivery issues, a carrier also marked a package pick-up request at my address as completed, which is laughable since I came home to the packages still at the door and had to take them to a station near work the next day. Additionally, a delivery of medications was tampered with and damaged, and a bottle was missing. All of this is negligent at best, and at worst, fraudulent and worthy of mass restructuring of staff and supervisory team at this location. Again, I state that tampering with and impeding mail delivery is a Federal crime. These patterns for this office are shocking and unacceptable.

The worst Post office in the USPS! I have reschedule for redelivery of a Parcel 3 times and I haven't received my parcel to this date. I have call 718 882-7291 and no body answers at that number. The worst service experience I have ever seen. Even the Post Master General of this office fails to investigate Claims. A complete staff and management change needed. I wonder if an of these reviews get to them???

After calling the post office 800 number and setting up an arrangement to come and pick up my package from overvsea the next day, my big supprise was to be told that my package was sent back to the sender.. Not even 12hours after I set up everything with the USPS agent. WHAT A SHAME!

Now I know many people don't like their service, due to bad experience(s). But I had to reschedule my redelivery 2 times. When my parcel never came in I called into their office and asked them if they'd deliver today. The lady on the phone told me that my package was still at the office and they hadn't sent it out, but with my request she sent it out the same day, & for that I'm thankful. They're not rude or mean all the time. Sometimes they're just having a bad day just like many of us. If you call their office and reschedule the delivery it's more convenient & I know they don't pick up at all times, but when they do, they actually help you.

This post office is terrible. They lie about delivering packages and have nasty attitudes. I already filed one complaint and am going to speak to a friend over at the OIG about this.

This post office is by far the worst post office I've ever been to. They should either close it down or get new employees because their service sucks. Even managers suck they don't do anything but make the customer feel like straight up garbage. Every time USPS has to deliver something to me wether I've been home or left someone else they NEVER have knocked on my door, they only leave a pink slip that says "sorry we've missed you". I believe they only do this in low income community because you could go anywhere in Manhattan and you see that the customer service is exceptional. I usually don't do reviews but I had to make sure I did this time. The line in this post office reaches outside the post office just to pick up a package. There is only one person servicing the customers that came for pick up. PLEASE CLOSE THIS POST OFFICE DOWN OR GET NEW WORK PERSONNEL!!!!

I forgot how bad this post office is. I'm 26 years old and spent most of my life living in this area. THE WORST service ever. These people BARELY do their jobs. In the past month alone (since moving back to this area), I have had 3 packages marked as delivered and LOST or STOLEN. Thankfully I was able to get my money back while investigations are conducted. I usually order using UPS/FedEx/DHL but sometimes they hand off deliveries to USPS without your consent. So sometimes I have no choice.Clearly, there are people in this office (and on my route) who are lying and saying they have attempted to deliver, despite the bell not being rung and often no pink slip even being left. I have to rely on tracking to see if my package was "attempted to be delivered." BS. When you call this office, they place you on hold and leave you on hold until you just give up and hang up. I don't know what these lazy people are doing but it is the worst service ever. I have filed numerous complaints with the USPS and the USPS Inspection Service. I encourage everyone else who uses this office to do the same.
