Just went by the mail boxes on Hwy 165 near the crossroads of Tierra Madre and Hwy 165 and there was police activity...and the mail truck looked like it was off the road....what happened?

some delays apparent even when sending to Placitas address? Billing statement often are sent five days prior to due date. That should be enough time? What's the problem?

Something is really wrong with this post office. I had a piece of mail show up in my "informed delivery" e mail a week ago and it still hasn't been delivered to my mailbox. It contains a payment that I really need too. I also had my mail forwarded while away in another city for the whole month of June and not one letter was forwarded for the whole time. I have also sent deposits to my bank twice and they never arrived

Not possible to do transaction with social distancing, important, I think, because the postal employees are not wearing masks, but they are wearing gloves at least.

When we moved here about a year ago, we found the employees at the Post Office to be helpful and friendly. Lately this has completely changed. Our mail is often delayed a week while it just sits waiting in the back room. If we come in to get it, we are told they don't have time to look. Today I came in with a delivery notice stating I had a package requiring a signature. At first they insisted the package had been delivered to a box without the required signature. Then they lied to me, stating that the package had been seized by the US Postal Inspection Service. I quickly found out that this was not true when I contacted the Postal Inspector and complained. Placitas, NM Postmaster Eric Setter is one of the worst in the nation. He has no idea what his job is and endangers the public by wrongfully withholding mail containing important items and vital medical supplies. I've filed a complaint with the US Postal Service Inspector General and am hoping they take action against this rogue Postmaster.
