I mailed a card with a check in it to my daughter who lives approximately four blocks away from me in Matawan. I mailed it on August 14 and she received it on August 29th postmarked out of Trenton. Any explanation for this delay?

Matawan NJ Post office is the Worst!! They do not take complaints seriously and you can find a number of a Postmaster and they will not give it to you. My mail person threw my box on the Wet Grass in front of my mail box. I have it on Video! I also have them on numerous days Backing up in my driveway to turn around( which is against postal service rules) I have also asked them to Not back up in my driveway because I do not want them to hit my kids or pets and their trucks are ruining my driveway. Then they just drive on my yard. I have that on video too. I am tired of fixing the tire groves on my grass and the expense. They do not care! I even have a video of my postman cursing at me on my Porch because he had to get out of his truck and deliver a package to my door. I thought delivering packages is there job? They just. Do not want to do it. I get packages Stuffed in my mail box and bent up and ruined because they are too lazy to bring it to my door and my door is not that far from the road. I I want to file a formal complaint and compensation for their damage. I also want these mean Lazy post people to loose their Jobs and let someone else have a job Delivering mail that will respect someone’s Mail and property. Can someone please let me know how I can complain on a state or federal level because the local complaints have not worked and they do not take complaints seriously.

I had a package arrived at Matawan postal office for me. The tracking system online says package is delivered but I did not received it. I called the post office to find out what happened but nobody answers the phone. I finally got in touch 3 days later and the supervisor says the package was delivered to the wrong address. My second incident, I was tracking another package enrooted for my address. After 12 days the tracking showed my package arrived at matawan post office and was returned back to the sender .

Had multiple packages marked as delivered online, yet I never got them. Tried calling MULTIPLE times and it rang yet no one answered. I will be going in and talking to someone. I wish there was a way to NOT have my items shipped through USPS because this is not the first time I (or my family) have had this issue.

I mailed a package out of your facility on 12/27/19 The person is saying they never received it. it went to Terry N 200 DOCKS CORNER RD STE 260 UNIT B DAYTON, NJ, 08810-1650 The only information I have is on my bank statement (we paid for shipping with our debit card $7.85) it says #000723056 Purchase Is there anyway we can get a tracking # for this? They will not refund us our money for the returned merchandise. The return address was A Grieco 22 Merritt Terrace, Matawan. Any help would be appreciated. You can respond to . Thank you.

I’m sorry Mr. Wawrzynski but I consider your answer as a clear torture. What should I do with your apologies? I’ve lost the piece that is $500 worth because of your careless mailman. I’m not going to give up, l’m sorry. Also, what do you mean advising me to contact the seller? What’s for? The seller did his job properly and on time. I have no reason to contact him. Instead I will contact the Better Business Bureau, Division of Consumer Affairs and the Attorney General Office, the local Police Department and the Monmouth County Court. Also, I will talk to our neighborhood to be aware of this mater. I don’t know who will pay for my item, pain and suffering but I DO NOT consider this case as RESOLVED, and I want you to know it. The postage I was expected was not delivered. The tracking shows it was delivered but it wasn’t. I contacted the post office and opened the investigation case. Later on I had a few conversations with the postmaster. First I was told that the item was stolen from my porch, which is a lie, because I picked up my mail at the very same minute the mailman left my porch, and I have an evidence- I had another person in my house at the moment and he can proof my words. When I told that to the postmaster, he said that the mailman delivered it at the wrong address and he will check it with the residents of that address. When I asked for the exact GPS address the postage was scanned as delivered, I got the address located on the far other side of my town. Later on I contacted the post master again and was told that the mailman visited the residence my postage was mistakenly delivered but was told that no one item was received by the residents of that address. Then the postmaster told me they have nothing to help me with. It’s not the first time the mailman delivers the postage’s to the wrong address or signs the signature-required items by himself and leaves them on the porch. As a result I lost a $500 item now and the only thing the post office told me is “sorry”. Please help me to find my item.

This is the letter I got from the post office as an answer for my lost item claim. Isn’t torture??? “I regret learning of the inconvenience you have experienced. The Postal Service™ is aware of the frustration and disappointment caused when we do not live up to our commitment of safe and reliable mail service. Your package may have been misdelivered, we have not been able to retrieve it. Please contact the sender. An apology is no substitute for good service, but I want to offer one on behalf of the Postal Service. We appreciate your reporting this matter to us. It helps to know the kinds of difficulties our customers have so we can work toward improvements. The information you have provided will be shared with management as they continue their efforts to improve service performance in your area. Thank you for the opportunity to address this matter with you. Please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you. So tired of having to retrieve my own packages from someone elses home daily because your carrier cannot read if it says street or avenue!! Ive conplained previously and the carrier denied she left it at the wrong address even though the person who lives at the other address complained as well that they keep getting my packages and sometimes mail!! This seriously needs to be corrected!! It clearly states street on the package and was once again delivered to ave!!

Worst service once can imagine. Matawan post office should be disbanded. Delivery carrier misplaces packages, post office employees can't find them, they lie about the reason why the package wasn't delivered (like "PO BOX package not deliverable"-we don't have a PO BOX!!!!). Post Master does not answer the phone for 1.5 hours (on hold), he does not come out to face complaining customers - lets his 'supervisors' handle the problems. Every week I get someone else mail. They claim it was 'misread by the computer'... BS... and more BS

Well, now we are getting our mail delivered between 6pm and 9pm... really ? 4pm-5pm wasn't late enough? who wants to go to the mail box 9 at night? Really? might as well be in next day's mail. I bet the mail person is getting paid all those overtime hours... for delivering junk mail or mis-delivering!!! What are they doing during the day? why are they out at that time at night? what a crying shame! Do something about it!... is anyone reading these comments???? I just went to submit my review and guess what: I'm not allowed to post another review when I already posted previously... how convenient and clever!

I don't understand why Matawan Post Office does not recognize Vision Court Addresses, this off Route 516. This is the new town center apartment address. Apartment address are 201 to 316 Vision Courts, Matawan, NJ 07747 This is formerly 3996 County Road 516 Matawan, NJ address.

I am so sick of tracking my packages, say they were delivered yet I haven't received one. It's happened 3 times in the last 2 months. In the last 9 months I'm missing packages and regular mail. I've also watched one of the carriers in her mail truck delivering and driving all while talking on her cellphone!!! Absolutely HORRIBLE!!

Not happy. Mailed a bill payment that was only going from Matawan NJ to Newark NJ. I mailed it on June 11 since payment is due on June 23. As of June 20 it has still not been received by the company I sent it to. Ridiculous. No help from the Postal staff either. Never had this problem. I mailed 2 other pieces of mail the same day and now I am concerned I am going to have the same problem. Looking to use another Post Office.

I am unbelievably upset that a package labeled for Cliffwood, NJ 07721 has been sent back to sender at the Matawan location due to no such address. How is this possible when I receieve mail every day? If MATAWAN is not familiar to CLIFFWOOD, send it to Cliffwood, not back to sender. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Don't ever expect to actually get a package on time, because this post office has never delivered ANYTHING on the day that it says it will. Also, it will leave large packages at my front door but leave a notice for small packages so you have to go pick it up at the post office. Thank you mailman, for leaving a notice for my package today after the post office has already closed and since it's Saturday, I won't be able to get it until Monday. Even though the package says it should have been here on Friday.

Same thing just happened to me but they didn't bother leaving a notice. So I waited and now the tracking info. was finally updated and shows a delivery exception. Too late to help since they're closed. Anything alive should not under any circumstance be sent through the USPS. Way to compete with Fed Ex and UPS.
