I don’t know what other people say but I’ve only had the best experiences at the Belford post office. It’s a little known place you can drive by it and not even see it but if you want to save a couple days on anything you send this is the place to go. I’ve tried every post office in 20 mile radius and for some reason if I go to the Belford post office I get my letters and packages a day or sometimes two days earlier than anywhere else. It’s probably because of the dedicated group of postal workers that they don’t sit on the packages they get them out right away. They’re very polite and know their business, I learned so much about the mail and make the best decisions now because of advice I’ve gotten from them. No question is too small or complicated to get the answer. If every post office had their dedication then the Postal Service would be a whole lot better. I’m not somebody Writing because I had a bad experience, for 10 years or more I’ve use them and I’ve had no bad experiences so that should count on something.
You need to keep an eye out for your packages. The carries are leaving the packages on the curb. I received an email that the package was delivered "at the mailbox" When I went to check there was no package. After 5 or 6 calls to the Belford post office. I was told that the carrier did not remember the number or house it was left at. Sorry but this happens. NO IT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!! So now I'm out the money and merchandise.
USPS in Belford is terrible. Switched our original mail route, only to be given a woman who cannot complete her full route on a daily basis because she's either too slow or incapable of walking that much. I've gone several days without mail, and several pieces of mail needing to go out never made it to the post office. After Calling Belford PO, I spoke to Harry who was condescending, unhelpful, and had zero personality. He provided me with no answer to my problem, and pretty much hung up the phone on me. After that horrific customer service from Belford and Harry I tried reading out to the customer service line only to be told there would be a 36-45 minute hold. Disgusting order of business.
