I put my mail delivery on hold for a week via USPS.com to be delivered the Monday after our return on Sunday. It’s late Tuesday afternoon. Do I have my mail that was held? NO! Does the Washington post office answer its phone late in the afternoon? NO. They’re lucky to get a 1 star review for this and other postal delivery problems, like NEVER receiving my newspaper in a timely manner.

I am beyond MAD! I have things ordered that were supposed to come two days ago and keep being marked that I should go in and pick them up because they were “held” when someone is ALWAYS here. I go in and they tell me it’s out for delivery. I come home and get another message that again it’s being held. Can’t get anyone on the dang phone and I can’t run back and forth every five minutes and it’s something that I NEED!!!

FYI. Good Friday and Easter Monday are not post office holidays. Yet we did not receive any mail delivery on Friday, Saturday, or Monday of Easter weekend. We subscribe to the WDN and are supposed to get copies on Wed and Sat. More often than not, they are delivered several days past those times.

We have not been happy with postal delivery in 4 to 6 months. We do not get our mail or newspaper (delivered by you) for a week at a time. I will put mail in box to go out when I leave to go to work and it is still there the next day, so I take it out and take it to the post office, which I should not have to do. And I will mail my bills out in plenty of time, but I am getting notices that it has not been received up to 2 weeks later. I have heard rumors that people are leaving the post office after many years of work due to management (Post Master) and some are staying home because of covid. Someone needs to investigate this poor service and correct it.

Several weeks ago you replaced an excellent delivery person with someone who is terrible. If I get my mail, which is not consistent, it is delivered at night. We need the delivery person back that you replaced. This the west 12th street area.

My frustration is overwhelming! This post office is so poorly run! There are times when we don't get mail for several days. If you call the post office, NO ONE ever answers the phone. I have had deliveries that say they have been delivered at such and such a time, but they are no where to be found. I was told by an employee, that even if they are not physically delivered, they have to be marked as such. Yesterday, a delivery was marked delivered and we received mail. My package was not in the mailbox with the other mail and wasn't delivered today! Isn't there somebody that can help?!

I am beyond frustrated! Apparently the people who deliver the mail for this post office can not read. I have 2 signs on my front porch that reads please do not leave packages/mail on front porch, bring around to carport. Again today ANOTHER package and my mail , which contained medication, was left on the front porch. The medication itself put in the wrong hands is very deadly. I've had a bottle of medication that costs $4075.00 left on the front porch and on the address label, highlighted in orange were the delivery instructions that read Deliver to back porch DO NOT LEAVE ON FRONT PORCH. And I could go on and on about the packages that have clearly been tampered with and some that have been completely opened and put back together with rubber bands to hold them shut. There's absolutely no reason to try to call because you're put on hold then you hear about 7 rings before you get a busy signal. This office needs to be investigated and/or shut down. This is beyond rediculous!

This post office seems borderline criminal. They delivered a package addressed to me to another location, and then changed the tracking so that it showed it was delivered correctly. They never answer the phone. You can call all day. They are rude, and dismissive of their mistakes. A tracking number can be tracked in my name and address all the way to the Washington post office and then somehow it gets put in someone else's name and address. This is clearly the worst post office and worst employees I've ever experienced. They should be investigated.

The Washington PO is the worst. I wish UPS or FedEx would take over. They won't even answer their phones. Sometimes they don't even come by and then will lie and put customer said hold mail.

We have had packages delivered to to the wrong address 3 times. We live at 80 Riverwalk Drive, but our packages are being delivered to 62 Riverwalk, where no one lives. I reported this last week and it happened again yesterday. Please advise the package delivery person.

I live in Washington N.C.. I as well as my husband have called several times in as many months to let the PO know that we are getting others mail delivered at our address. We also have a sign on our front door that states All Deliveries at Side Door with an arrow pointing in the direction of the side door. The front door steps aren’t covered so any packages delivered are out in the weather elements, rain, snow , sleet, wind. Makes perfect sense to place packages at side door which is actually covered. I just would like to know that whoever is delivering our mail can take the time to follow simple instructions. The last time I called I did speak to a lady named Myra, which I think is supposed to be the Postmaster. I would appreciate if she would inform the drivers to pay attention to signage that is plainly posted. I know we live on a busy highway and time is of the essence, then again today we received another package With family genealogy records that have been in the family for many years. Again left at front door. Thank goodness the weather was half way decent. If these documents had gotten wet they would have been ruined. Please have discussion with your drivers. Thank you

I have a complaint about the person that delivers the mail to Main Street in Washington. We used to get our mail five or six hours earlier. And I am constantly getting mail next belong somewhere else and have been delivering it myself. This is not a one or two times thing this is happened at least 15 times in the last 6 months. I have spoken to several of my neighbors and this is been happening to them as well. It frightens me because I don't know what mail I've never gotten because it's been going somewhere else and maybe they haven't been as willing to bring it to me. I don't know who this person is but maybe they need to be in another department. This cannot be the first time that you're hearing of this but I guarantee you it will not be the last because I'm going to start piling up the mail that doesn't belong to me and bring it down to you in one lump sum.
