ZERO STARS! TOTAL DYSFUNCTION! Often times outgoing mail is not picked up even though flag is up on the mailbox. Incoming mail not received for days, even weeks at a time. Phone is NEVER answered. Tried to set up mail forwarding online when my 89 year old father had to temporarily live with me in Virginia due to serious health issues. Was charged the $1.10 fee only to receive a notification that it would have to be done in person. Since my father was too ill to accompany me to the post office, I needed a written letter requesting mail forwarding, signed by my father in front of a notary - which we did at the hospital. I took all documentation to the post office and his mail finally began arriving in Virginia. Suddenly, it stopped. My father’s neighbor discovered mail in my father’s mailbox and now all his mail is back to being delivered to NC and is not forwarding to us here in Virginia. All this after jumping through hoops and navigating miles of BS red tape AND despite the forwarding dates outlined on the form to not deliver to NC until May 21, 2024. What a total cluster F###!!!!
Fire them all and fix your system! What a joke.
Yesterday, (5/5/22) I had a package out for delivery. The package went all day with saying to be delivered by 9pm. All the sudden at 9pm it now says that the packaged was delivered in my mailbox at 3pm. I reviewed my cameras and there was no mail delivered at that time. Today I had a different Amazon package delivered and was hoping that the one that was marked as delivered yesterday would have shown up. After checking the mail the original package wasn’t there. I found the mail carrier in the neighborhood still. I asked him if he delivered mail yesterday? And explained that a package of mine was marked delivered and I had not gotten it. He replied that it’s impossible because he was off yesterday. So I said where would that package be then? And he replied at the post office… I tried to ask him why that package wouldn’t have gone out in todays mail and he clearly was getting upset that I was asking him questions. He was giving me a nasty attitude and said you can call my supervisor… and I said I’m not sure what the F&@king attitude is about and he said you better watch your F&@king step! This type of behavior from a mail carrier is 100% unacceptable. Threatening customers is 100% unbelievable… I would like for someone to contact me ASAP on this.
I have not recived my mail in about 2 to 3 days. A package thru amazon prime says it was deliverd fri and my amazon account said it was delivered but have not recived it. I got other 2 packages that were due today but not the fri 1. Im also missing an ssi check that come on the 3rd same day as the missing package. I had 2 thing of mail that day but no check nor package that says was delivered fri. My son went to the po sat and they told him it was on the mail truck and will receive it later that day. Never got it
I moved to Elizabeth City on October 12th and was unable to open my mailbox. I’m in a apartment complex. My mailbox is warped and a piece of junk. I left a message taped to the box and he did leave my mail at my steps. The box has not been fixed so I’m back to where I was. Haven’t gotten any mail in 2 weeks. Can someone please fix this problem? I’m in box number 1. Thank you
Last night, July 19th, 2021 I got an email that a package I ordered was delivered and singed for. It was NOT. I never received my package whatsoever. Then, my partner checked his Amazon app to track packages & those said "delivered today" they also were NOT delivered. I have called the post office 7 times, with no answer every time. How do I find out where our packages where dropped off??? I'm VERY upset. I have complained about our mail carrier once before and now I want the FIRED!!!! They keep SHOVING our bagged packages into our mailbox as well. I want some accountability.
I'm disappointed in the mail carrier on today June 26, 2021. A package that was suppose to be delivered to me was not and the mail carrier said that it was undeliverable at 6:31pm. I was home with the door wide open and no one came to my house. I really needed that package today. The mail carrier lied!!!!!
I keep asking the postman and wrote a note asking for him to take the previous residents that lived here befor me back to the post office over and over again and he just steadily piles their mails into my mailbox. What can I do about this?
My wife mailed a payment to her credit card company on December 30,2020 posted for Charlotte, North Carolina. The payment arrived at the payment site 1/14/2021.
With that said I would like to hear an explanation on what took so long. Where did it go I ask? Much of my mail goes to Butner and it sets there for days as has been revealed through the tracking numbers provided. I could have walked there almost as fast.
Because of that lapse in service it cost me and my wife $25.00 in late fees.
Now this may not seem much to you but service on your end is sourly lacking and a simple, "well these things happen" is not an excuse. I have heard that before and to me it is unprofessional, sorry and just down right lazy. This is not a one time thing for us. It amazes me on how long it takes for mail to be delivered and that atmosphere extends to your new duties of package delivery. They also come by snail mail.

There is a SERIOUS problem with mail/package delivery to Stockbridge at Tanglewood development! Today is Monday, 1/4/21 and as of yesterday’s mail run, there are 12 residents who have posted on our site that they received notice that their ‘package’ was delivered and yet NOT ONE SINGLE ONE OF THEM GOT THEIR PACKAGE!!!!
Your Sunday carrier IS NOT delivering packages!! We all have Ring/security cameras that show mail truck driving through here, but nothing being put on porches!!!!
Before we go to law enforcement, or Post Master General, we are giving one last chance for PO at Elizabeth City, NC and David Martin, PostMaster, to solve this. Mr. Martin has been called AND actually residents have gone directly to him to no avail, so far!! This is not a good time to have mail fraud, etc being an issue with postal service!
On a scale from 1-10 I would have to give it a 3 +/-; Bills that don't show up on time or at all. Deliveries of said mail when they feel like it (no set period of time) Payments not being delivered in a timely manner;
Example; most recently bill sent on June 4 and due on June the 11th not delivered as of this date 6/22/18 causing us a late fee of $42.65. this has gone too far as this is not the first time this has occurred. This has to stop! I will be forwarding this and other information on behalf of myself and my neighbors on this street whom have run into similar problems over the last year and a half if satisfaction is not met. I cant believe how the parking lot looks after the snow. It is very dangerous and you should have gotten someone to plow the parking lot. I was terrified to get out of my car! As a government agency this should have been a priority.
This is the poorest company service iv ever seen if you order a package they never update there computers they never like to be on time I was suppose to get a package yesterday never got it iv been waiting almost a week for this package but the companies won't scan it like what's up with that please do your jobs right
I just had the misfortune to attempt to contact the local Post office in Elizabeth City NC only to find myself on hold waiting for a customer rep for an estimated 50 minutes. I live on Agawam St & it's 4:15 & we have no mail. We've lived here since 1999 & there have been few days that we didn't get something in the mail even if it was only junk! One day this week our mail was delivered at 7:30 PM. This is the poorest service that we've seen since we moved in. Several days we've seen as many as 3 mail trucks in our neighborhood at one time! I had hoped to speak to a customer service rep but since I don't have an hour to spend on hold it doesn't appear likely that will happen. Thanks for nothing.
I have received multiple pieces of mail that have been damaged. I understand that the mail carriers have to deliver the mail even if it was damaged prior to him/her getting it, but when a letter was submerged in water, a package damaged with no acknowledge, and a letter torn to pieces in the USPS envelope stating that they were sorry. When I called the USPS office, the man told me that it was not their fault and that there was nothing that he could do about it. I am very disappointed. I just wish they would talk to the carrier and try to resolve this ongoing issue.
Love this small town post office and the friendly people working there at the front desk ! I've witness many times the patience they have with the public who patronize the Elizabeth City, NC Post Office, Keep up the good work! For those who walk in with a chip on their shoulders, you are only going to sow what you reap, slow down, step back and take a deep breath !
Very RUDE!!! I ARRIVED AT POST office at exactly 4:30 on my cell phone as did another customer and a man SHUT THE DOOR in my face. I only needed priority envelopes and even asked if he could hand me some. He said no. UNBELIEVABLE!#
