I have been living at my current address for over 7 years now. Up until 3 months ago I was receiving my bank statements by mail every month. Now for the last 3 months October thru December I have not received a single one. My bank says they are sending them and the post office says they are not holding anything. The only change during this period is that my son bought a house and moved from my address. I cannot find anyone that can help get mean answer. Please help.
The Albemarle postmaster is NOT a problem problem solver. In fact, he is a problem denier. We now ship and receive with UPS and FedEx whenever possible.
A carrier, who has a reputation for laziness and lack of truthfulness, claimed my dog attacked him, What I saw was the carrier slapping my dog’s face with my mail and my dog barking at him. My dog is Never outside without me, or my wife, close to him. Because we live on a busy street he always wears a three level electronic collar. We Always have the remote in our hand. It will emit a tone, vibrate or produce a mild electrical shock.
Because our home predates the mailbox at the street out mail box was on our front porch. Meaning he had to get out of this jeep and walk up our sidewalk. His demeanor has always communicated irritation that he had to deliver our mail in that way.
After the slapping my dog with our mail we stopped receiving our mail. After 2 or 3 weeks of no mail we called the post office and we were told they would no longer receive our mail unless we installed a mail box at the street. Instead, I paid for an extended mail forwarding service to our PO Box. In the argument I had with the postmaster, he said loudly that “I showed no remorse”. I should be remorseful that my dog barked and did not back down while being slapped in his face with my mail? That was the primary reason to use mail forwarding. I do not trust the carrier and would be happiest if he never touched our mail or was on our property again. And, I have zero trust that offering a different version of his lazy carriers false accusation will come close to an objective decision by him.
Since that was established we have had several items marked “return to sender” and sent back. One instance was an envelope of critical medical components. When we inquired as to why it happened the postmaster said “some items are rejected by our system” - whatever that means.
When he was advised that other identical envelopes with identical content were transferred to our PO Box his response was that a certain employee had previously sorted our mail “did us a favor” and was not working the day the last shipment was returned to the sender. Really? Seems more like targeting us for payback to me.
I think if the USPS intends to survive they need to audit and manage the postmasters and eliminate the attitude shown by the Albemarle postmaster.
NO PICK UP OR DELIVERY IN ALBEMARLE, NC 28001
We have not had mail pick up since last Thursday, 1/6/20. We have also had NO MAIL DELIVERY SINCE THAT DATE.

Drove 30 mins from Norwood to get it shipped today. I got to the post office at 4:56. The lady working there let the guy In front of me in and closed the chain on me at 4:57. With a pre paid package in my hand. She said we are closed. First refused to take the package then told me she would take it but it would go out tomorrow. What a joke! I ship over $30k a year with usps from my business. I took the package and walked out. I will void the label and ship it with UPS. Someone needs to contact me back. Seriously considering change carriers for all my packages.
