We have constant issues with our regular carrier and have submitted a few complaints to the post office supervisor, but nothing has changed. She's rude and lazy. We have received quite a few notes letting us know we have large packages that need to be picked up at the post office. However, the USPS is contracted by Amazon to deliver their orders, which she doesn't seem to like doing. Larger boxes should be delivered to the front office and not stuffed into the mailbox because she doesn't want to drive up to the office and get out of her car to put them in the lobby. On 10/28/20 and 11/20/20 the boxes were so large (and I have pictures) I could barely get my fingers in the box to grab and pull it out. She's left nasty notes in our box complaining of the "condition" of our box when there has been nothing wrong with it. We even went to the extent of painting the inside to get her to stop complaining. During the time the holidays were approaching, the couple of times she did deliver to the lobby, she would practically throw the boxes on the floor and leave and they would be right in the middle of the lobby area. Just yesterday, we had 2 larger boxes (from Amazon) which was delivered to our lobby, but the outgoing mail (that was placed in the box at 7:30 am) was not picked up and is still sitting in the box waiting. It must have been inconvenient to take the boxes to the lobby and then make a 2nd stop to pick up our outgoing mail. The job of a postal carrier is to deliver the mail, not throw it around and leave notes requesting us to come and get our mail. If we wanted to come and retrieve our mail on a daily basis we would get a PO Box. I think an evaluation and carrier change is necessary. The tax payers, who pay for this service, deserve to have carriers that do their job, efficiently, and have a work ethic they can be proud of. You can't expect to get paid for a job you refuse to do.

No mail again today. It snowed we got our mail box cleaned up first thing this morning (which is always the reason they say the don't stop but we always are on it - its MONDAY and we need our mail) we had a substitute mail person a few weeks ago and she was fabulous and she actually made a comment that the driver she filled in for left a ton of mail for her to deliver that she did not to the day before. We tax payers support the Post office and I feel like they think they have the right to be rude and not care about the people they work for maybe because they don't think they work for us? I have a business to run and I do not have time for this. If we actually could hire our own service then we would get the service we deserve instead of dealing with people who don't care if they do a good job or not because they get paid regardless.

I'm not actually sure where to make an official complaint, so I'm hoping this reaches someone who can put around a reminder to drivers to watch out for obvious things that could be damaged. I currently ordered a paperback book for my son for christmas. Said book was bent at a 90 degree angle to fit in my mailbox tightly around the box that had also come. This bend actually tore through the spine of this brand new book that was clearly ordered through Amazon.
The Post Master at Grayling Post Office, Dena, helped me figure out some mailbox delivery issues due to snow. She was very helpful and went out of her way to teach me about the policies and procedures.
