Your carrier has been delivering someone else's packages to my house for months now. We have been kind and deliver the packages FOR YOU. I'm tired of this and have called to let you know how ridiculous this has become and no one ever picks up the phone. One time it's a mistake. 2 times it's careless. 30+ times it's pure negligence. FIX YOURSELVES. You have an obligation. Or should I consider these packages your gifts to me?

I had to call this post office today and got the same experience as many others who have posted here got. The phone would just ring and ring. So I tried calling again and when the automated system started I dialed 1 and someone picked up right away. I hope this helps anyone else trying to contact this post office.

People in the post office are always very friendly and professional. We live in Buxton, out of where the delivery driver works. We have not received our mail in 5 days now even though I get email notifications daily what is coming. This has been an ongoing problem for at least 2 months. What is going on ? No one answers the phone after at least 10 tries. Ridiculous !!

I cannot get a hold of anyone at this Post Office! I'm so extremely frustrated as my hands are completely tied here! I live in Chicago and was expecting a very large package to be delivered to my home. Low and behold after tracking my shipment I found it odd that it went from it's last destination of Indiana to Gorham, ME. I live 1 state away from IN so it was a bit confusing. None the less the latest update was that my package was confirmed delivered to a location in Gorham, ME. 04038. I don't have the slightest clue on how it went to a zip code of 04038 when I'm at 60656! That's not even close and my order does show the correct shipping zip code! I have been calling this post office off the hook for 2 days now with ZERO luck! I have no idea what to do next??? I need to speak to someone there and figure out hw I get my package that I have been waiting for over a month now???? HELP PLEASE!!! :(

Good Day, Just checking in to see how much longer before Gorham PO is fully staffed? I understand it is hard these days, but it is harder for us (on Flaggy Meadow) road to go one or two days a week without mail being delivered. Many of us are waiting on medications, and this delay can be dangerous. Many of our insurance companies now, required maintenance meds be delivered through the mail now. Isn't there another PO in the area that can send you mail carries during the times when no one in Gorham is available? We are still receiving mail for other Flaggy Meadow road residents and it's been almost a year now. Or however long our mail carrier of 20+ years moved on. Thank you in advance, I look forward to hearing back from you. Tracey

This location is the worst . I’ve called 50 times and no answer ever . They deliver my package to buxton and I live in Standish with no way to reach out . I’ve contacted every one of my representives in Maine and voiced my concern. They agree. Any other post office answers the phone quickly and promptly . And Gorham does not so I have no way of finding out where my package is. The whole staff needs to be fired. And I’m gonna make sure at least one of y’all lazy people are !

We continually get mail addressed to people at other addresses, and don’t get things addressed to us. I know this because I get an email every day showing what is supposed to be delivered here. The latest was a package that was supposed to be delivered to me two days ago. It was probably delivered to someone served by this post office, but it wasn’t me. I tried calling - no answer. Tried reporting to the US Postal Inspector’s office as suggested by someone else - couldn’t log in, and couldn’t get through by calling. No wonder the US postal service is in trouble!

I have had mail delivered toy address which may or may not have the same house number but different street address . It’s a common occurrence . I am often getting the catalogues which are addressed to my next door neighbor . I had a package sent to other address which was brought to me by the person who had received several days after I had been searching for it due to my account saying hit had been delivered. I am directed to Gorham PO bay the local PO fo zip 04093 .

No one’s answering the phone so I’ll just write it here. My neighbors and I are getting each other’s mail and have to deliver it to each other very frequently. It’s not the woman that’s been here for years in the station wagon, it’s a new guy who drives a white postal truck, please do something about this, I like seeing my neighbors but not this way, thank you

Not surprised seeing all of these other negative experiences with the Gorham office. I’ve had several packages that have been marked as “delivered” on the tracking but were not actually delivered to my house. It’s obvious that these packages are being delivered to someone else and we’re lucky that they have been kind enough to always drop them off to our house. I have tried several times to contact the office by phone and they NEVER answer. I can only imagine how many people end up just never receiving anything they order.

It's sad, they won't answer the phone at the Gorham post office, won't deliver packages to the door if it dosn't fit in the mailbox (drive is unpassable in JULY!!) We get our neighbors mail all the time and even get mail for someone 2 miles away. There seems to be no accountability at all.

I’ve been trying to find my package since Friday for an item I ordered for my 5 year old!!! I physically stopped in this morning trying to find it. It said delivered on Friday, however it was never in my box. I’m guessing the mailman put it in someone else’s by mistake. They’ve done this before, one of them was my son’s Kindle for Christmas that the neighbor got. Thank God they gave it to us. This time however someone decided to keep what I ordered. I was supposed to receive a call today from the post office. Nothing! I’ve had it! Somebody needs to reimburse me for the item I purchased since they can’t do their job correctly! I will be contacting the U.S. Postal Service's Consumer Advocate office! This is ridiculous! For how much you get paid, at least try and do your job properly!!!

Tracking info says the package was delivered and left on the front porch. I have a ring unit and no one delivered a package to my location. They don't answer their phones. So, they either mis-delivered it or they didn't even bother to bring it to my front porch. Ridiculous.

the tracking number said a package was delivered at my mailbox in Buxton at 10:30am on Friday the 7th, it was not...I waited another day, still no package, then when I tried to file a report on the Federal website it denied my report because it said it was too soon to report a missing package!?!?!?! I then tried to call the Gorham post office where my mail originates from only to have it ring a million time then be disconnected, no opportunity to leave a message or anything. I stupidly tried again thinking maybe it was a freak thing, it was not...I live in a small development with a dead end road and less than a dozen homes and our mails gets mixed up constantly! What's a person supposed to do? I've got a $40 gift that I now have to find a replacement for while I try to figure out how to fix this...this is NOT the service I expect in return for my tax dollars!

We have not received mail for almost a week. We have cleaned out in front of our mailbox twice. I have gone down to the post office to ask why our mail was not getting delivered and was told that our mail carrier is short and if she can't reach the mailbox because it is leaning back slightly then she won't deliver. I would like to request about a 2" taller mail delivery person, that should take care of this situation. We don't want our carrier to have to lean and hurt herself.

I'm so frustrated with the Gorham/Stanish mail delivery service! I have signed up for Informed Delivery and I can see what mail I should be getting. But, they do not deliver it! Also, I have packages that I pay express delivery that sits in the post office for days! They will not answer the phone. Shouldn't it be illegal for them to hold our mail until they feel like delivering it? Come on Gorham!!!

The reason they are not delivering our mail is because they are busy doing Amazon packages to keep their contract. Which causes the PO Delivery people to get overtime.. Well that just came to a screeching halt since the PO just cut all overtime for delivery. Amazon packages have become the priority over our important mail... go figure.. The richest man in the world get super discounts on postage and requires 2-3 day delivery... We should all boycott Amazon.... and report undelivered mail immediately to the Post Office Inspections Services...

Not sure what constitutes an "attempted delivery" but this is the third time in recent memory that I've been home and witnessed the postal truck drive past my house (twice) on a scheduled delivery day without stopping. I then receive an attempted delivery failure from Amazon. You folks do not compare favorably with the other delivery services

Just happened again. The town Post Office used to be synonymous with friendly, efficient local service. Now they do not deliver packages if it means getting out of the truck and I've tried to call three times - no one picks up. My next step is to request that vendors DO NOT USE USPS. This saddens me.

Package was to be delivered Saturday the 8th. Did not happen then the tracking said Monday by end of day?" Tracking stated tried to deliver left a notice. None of which happened. Didn't even get mail. Tracking told me to go to post office to pick up per my request. Um no not the truth. Drive to PO and am told it was out for delivery. Stated drivers doing their best it was dark and late. Also tried to blame notification on AMAZON. It wasn't even an AMAZON . I tracked on US{PS site. Very un happy. I usually am very understanding with customer service this time of year but I do not like being lied to.

12/5/18 received email from Amazon stating carrier "could not gain access to front door to deliver" at 6:05 pm. We live in single family dwelling and were home eating dinner at time of the alleged delivery attempt, no one came to the door. a check of USPS tracking this morning confirmed delivery attempt and that further action by me was required. After attempts at contacting local Gorham, ME via phone went unanswered, I drove to facility. Clerk cut me off mid-inquiry/explanation, stated fill-in drivers don't know routes, it was late, dark, etc and she couldn't answer for carrier. And that it was probably "just something Amazon put on their website", to which I again stated the information was on the USPS tracking website. She stated package should have been scanned to tracking as "returned to facility". After additional wait I was informed the package was not available to pick up as it is currently out for delivery today. Apparently lack of accountability and proper training is acceptable to USPS without regard to the inconvenience it creates when, through no fault of the customer, the customer tries to rectify a situation with less than satisfactory results from snippy clerks...maybe the January rate increases can be applied to improving service and customer relations?!

12/6 UPDATE to delivery issue....Just delivered at 11:10 am...HOWEVER...driver drove past walkway to front door and dropped package in front of garage!! If I hadn't seen truck drive in I would never have known it was there until the next time I drove out of the garage in a few days (hopefully not over it!). Where it was dropped @ garage is not visible from house but is very visible from street...walkway to front door is highly visible, professionally built and completely clear of snow, ice and obstruction - why it wasn't used is a mystery - retaliation for my earlier visit to the PO?????

I can not express how frustrating it is that I go days without getting mail. It’s not that I personally don’t get mail it’s that I’m at the end of the carriers route and a couple of times a week the carrier does not finish that route. They drive right past my road. Today my daughter was anxiously awaiting a package that was scheduled for delivery today and no one on my road got mail today. I’ve filed so many complaints and nothing is ever done. I was told before by the post master that if I am not satisfied I can pay for a PO Box at the post office.

I just received a package from England (10/25/18) that was opened and the contents stolen. The worst part is, the carrier KNEW the package was tampered with (I only had to turn it over), but still delivered it and, on top of that, had my elderly father (who has difficulty seeing) sign for it!! Despicable!

Add another dissatisfied Gorham residence to this list. One day last week we didn't get any delivery. Blame it on the temp. Next day the carrier said they didn't have the key to the cluster mailbox. This week I get to research USPS to find out they weren't comfortable leaving the package? Really. Saturday morning 9:00 AM I drive 9 miles to the post office to find they only have one of the two packages that they failed to deliver. Said the other must be out for delivery. Once again blame it on the temps. Amazon's 2 day shipping becomes a mute point if they use USPS. They won't change because they have someone else to blame the problem on. Not Cool!!

Like others, i routinely get notified that packages couldn't get delivered...of course, that presumes an effort was made, which doesn't appear to be the case. Probably 30 times in the last year, I've had packages get delayed because it "couldn't be delivered" or "couldn't get to the door." Horse Manure! Like someone said earlier, i've tried to find a way for Amazon to not use USPS, but, it's no use. I'm dependent on reliable deliveries for my work, and getting this BS about can't be delivered or no-one could sign for packages is just a blatant lie. Would like to complain to the postmaster, but, i might find my packages never get delivered if I do....

OMG when is Gorham post office going to do something about there carriers, I get e-mail conformation that my package has been delivered, but to find a card saying I have to go to Windham to get it when it is in Standish and no reason at all package could not be delivered today or yesterday. Just lazy, at times he has left the full neighborhood's mail in my box still in the rubber band. Or if he is running late doesn't bother to deliver at all. Another time he left a package in the parcel box but never left key and then he lost the key, 9 days before they finally broke lock to get my package. You can not get anyone to answer the phone in Gorham. Never had this issue in 35 years. Now it seems almost weekly.

This month I have had issues with the Gorham post office not delivering packages, the first pkg I was told couldn't be delivered due to not having access to my door, took over a week to get pkg after it was mailed, last week Amazon emailed me and said my pkg would be delivered that day, at 4:30 pm I received another email stating that the post office could not deliver this pkg either due to not having access to my door.. This is a lie, we haven't gotten any mail for a week now, yard is clear.. have tried calling Gorham post office since Saturday, they must have phone off the hook, please tell me what is going on..
