We received a package via USPS from Spain on Dec 7, 2023 with its contents completely missing. No notes. No messages from US Customs. Nothing. The empty box was placed inside our garage, eliminating porch pirates from the equation. Coincidentally, the same theft occurred last year and the year before that. The Mt Airy USPS Post Master provided a 1-800 to contact regarding the theft. The central number placed the investigation burden on the sender in Spain. As you may expect, that went NO WHERE. The USPS DOES NOT GET A PASS on delivering boxes obviously compromised by theft. Where are all the gun-toting postal police and investigators?

I mailed a check to my dentist on March 28, 2022. Yesterday (April 14), a man was picking up trash along Route 27 and found my check. He was kind enough to call me and return it to me, otherwise I would never have known that it was lost. Today, April 15, we got a notice from Xfinity that our bill was past due. This check was mailed on March 26. I can only assume that it also has been lost. Please ask your carriers to be more diligent when collecting outgoing mail. I will probably start paying online from now on. Thank you.

The absolute worst postal service. Delivered my package to wrong address and you can't get through, it just rings and rings and rings. Awful.

I am having the same issue. This is the second time in 13 years that a package was "delivered" but I didn't get it!

According to Amazon there was an attempt to deliver a package to my house today and I was not here. I have been here all day and there was NO slip left as notice of and attempted delivery. Please bring the package to my home at 906 Park Ridge Dr Mt. Airy. If for some reason I do not answer, please leave the package at the door. Thank you.

It sounds to me like some people need to get a life. If you weren't all internet cowards you might actually go to the post office and voice your concerns to a real live human being that you have to look in the eye while you vent your tirade. We all need to get civilized!

Just want to thank our mail carrier for great service. We have lived in our house for over 11 years and have always had great service. The postman has always been nice and courteous. We have also had to use the post office and have always had good experiences whenever we have dropped off or picked up our mail. Sincerely, a Nottingham homeowner

March 2017 Are the employees asleep, lazy, take zero pride in their jobs? It's something and a postmaster needs to crack a whip for them to do their jobs they are PAID VERY WELL to do. Constantly I have mail in my box for my neighbors. If I have a package that is being delivered they put the mail in the mail box and bring the package. If your coming to the door and I meet you each time why do you do that?!? I happen to have the same street numbers as some people on a near by street. I constantly get mail with the same street number but different street! They really need to get their act together!

This is the worse post office I have ever experienced. I ask everyone that has had similar problems to file an IG report in order to correct this facility. I have experienced the following: 1) When I 1st moved here, the neighbor received my husband’s credit card bill and opened it and thoroughly reviewed the statement since he thought it was his because it was delivered to him and they both share the same first name. He did state how horrible the mail delivery is and how the carrier needs new glasses. 2) I am constantly receiving other people’s mail and they are receiving my mail. Some of the addresses received are not even the same street name. All of my neighbors on my street have told me they experience the same thing. 3) I track all of my packages because of the poor delivery service. I had a package that was reported as being delivered and I had not received it. It snowed that day and there were no tire tracks up my driveway. I called the post office and Clint answered (he uses that name for the phone calls but his real name is Glen). Glen told me that the package had been delivered and that I stole my own package and that I should shop at Southern States or Stablemates instead of ordering on line. I asked him to research the package and he stated that he would in a week when the carrier was off vacation. I learned since that time that the carriers have a GPS and Glen/Clint could have viewed the exact GPS location for my package. Also, when our carrier delivers packages they usually bring the mail with them and it was tax season and I received no mail that day. I had no idea if the carrier gave my social security number to anyone else. So I called the police and filed a report so I could put fraud monitoring on all 3 credit bureaus. The police told me to call all the neighbors which I did. I found my package was delivered to 16391 instead of 16361. I never received an apology for being accused of theft of my own property either. 4) I recently ordered something from overseas and I had been tracking the package. I notice on Sunday that the tracking stated that the carrier attempted delivery at 3:41PM on Saturday and no one was home. I know at this particular time no one knocked on my door and attempted delivery. A notification was not left either. I called on Monday to pick up the package so it would not be sent back to Great Britain. Clint aka Glen answered and stated he had no idea what happened but would hold the package. I picked up the package and confronted them then filed an IG report. I saw the mail being delivered that day so I walked down and picked it up. I noticed that the carrier had a package to deliver to another neighbor and so I looked through my mail at the mailboxes. I notice the failed deliver request was bundled in the mail so I assume that Clint aka Glen put that in there as a CYA. I confronted the carrier who stated his name is Will about the circumstances and he called me a b***h.

DOES ANYBODY READ THESE REVIEWS???(like whoeveris responsible for hiring/firing these morons???) It can't be rocket science to figure out how to deliver the mail to the correct mailbox. I have never gotten a straight answer or follow thru on anything these people have told me. Once the then-postmaster (and who that happens to be that week changes depending on who yu talk to) told me not to eve put outgoing mail in my box on a Thursday, because that's when the substitutes work, and they will just leave it in the mailbox. And don't try to get a refrigerated package delivered before it turns to a hot pack. It ain't gonna happen. Better off to use people who know what they're doing, like fedex or UPS.

Asked to have nail forwarded. Called as backup and was assured the Postal service would honor request for one tear. Still have not sold house Mt. Airy. Renewed car registration as resident of Maryland and have yet to get new stickers.

This is the worst post office in the area. I went in a month ago to have the lock on my mailbox for my apartment changed. The lady said someone will take care of it within 3 days and they would let me know which box was mine--still hasn't happened. Went back in nearly 2 weeks ago and waited 25 minutes for the post master to walk out of her office to discuss the situation earlier. She said she'd take care of it that day and give me a call to let me know which box was mine. Two f***ing weeks later and they still have done anything and they refuse to pick up their phones. This office is pathetic and has the worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life.

We are constantly getting other people's mail, very annoying. The last time I checked, I'm not a postal delivery person. I leave the mail in my mail box, put the flag up and the postal carrier still leaves the wrong addressed mail in our mail box. Not sure why it's so hard. I wasn't aware that mail got delivered at 8pm at night either...

Worst post office ever. They broke my mailbox, leave packages in the yard or they lie and don't even deliver them even though they say they tried.

We've been getting other peoples mail. So have my neighbors. Not just our neighbors mail either, like addresses 3 or 5 miles away according to Google GPS.
