Customer service sucks...line out the door...1 clerk...2nd clerk shows up after 10 min...the other clerk leaves...nothing solved. Live in Medford, will travel elsewhere.
I volunteer in the office at Medford Council on Aging at 101 Riverside Ave and last week I asked why our outgoing mail and delivery of daily mail does not happen on a daily basis. The response I got was that our office has been trying to figure that out and has called the Post Office on several occasions but they have not been given a defined answer and the situation continues. Some weeks mail is not delivered for 4 days. Since the Medford Council on Aging is part of the City of Medford, it is very unsettling to try to understand this lack of service. The Council has even built a box where mail could be left because we were told we were closed when the mail was being delivered but even having this box has not corrected the problem. However, mail is delivered to Housing at 99 Riverside Ave every morning - this housing building is directly across from the Council on Aging which is another thing that makes this hard to understand - why can't our mail be distributed when it is delivered to 99 Riverside Ave. I would appreciate a response ASAP. I am doing this on my own because everyone else in the office is frustrated. We have outgoing mail on a daily base and sometimes, if someone does not walk it over to the nearest mail box, it sits in the office until someone notices that mail has not been delivered or picked up for days. If the Forest Street Post Office in Medford, Ma cannot provide this service, I would like to know who we can further discuss this problem with. Would we have to bother the mayor or another elected official - doesn't seem right but that may be the next step. Thank you for consideration to this request.
Easily the worst post office I have ever had contact with. I have lived here 20+ years and I have gotten them to answer the phone exactly once - and the person clearly did it by mistake. And they NEVER have enough employees working there - you basically have to take a half day off work to do even one transaction.
I have not received mail from the post office since 12/23/2019 - this is absurd .. no one at the post office answers the phone ..and when I went down and had to wait in line just to ask to speak to the manager - which again is absurd - - I was told on 12/29/2019 that there was no mail carrier for the route my street is on and so no one is picking it up to deliver it .. again absurd and unacceptable .. I was told all the mail would be delivered on 12/29 by 8:00 p.m .. Guess what is was not delivered.
Again today I went to the post office only to be in line for over 20 minutes and had to leave .. again no one is answering the phone today ..
This is more than unacceptable .. Next call the Federal office.
What happened to we always deliver the mail ... !!! Not in Medford.
I agree! I am having the same issue. Mail is not delivered and I can't get through on the telephone! I can see what I am expecting to receive via Informed Delivery, but it doesn't arrive! Missing bills, financial statements, and other important pieces of correspondence.

I have that same Informed Delivery .. I called City Hall - they said it's not their issue.

DT: I opened a case with USPS.gov. I have tried this approach before and have had a call back from the Medford P.O. Got an explanation, but not a resolution. Mail delivery is erratic at best. Sometimes my neighbor delivers my mail...

I also had USPS tracking stating "May 9, 2020 at 5:57 pm. Delivered, In/At Mailbox MEDFORD, MA 02155".
In fact, the residents were home and package is nowhere to be found. Is it a coincidence that someone else reported a missing package tracked to be delivered at 5:57 pm? Secret code?
This is exactly why USPS is going down. Package marked delivered at 5:57pm on Friday to my secured mailbox. It’s now Monday and the package is still nowhere to be found. Stop LYING to make quota
Would love to have a mail person visit the daycare at the Medford high school and speak with the children for about 15 minutes could you hook me us with the community relations person
thank you
