I've used the Central sq. post office for at least 15 years. The staff at the windows are extremely helpful, kind and friendly!!
Despite the fact that Covid and budget cuts have made their work harder, employees there work had to help us. .It's rare that I've had to wait a long time.
I have no family working for the P.O., and I'm not a robot,
I stood in line for 30 min (2.30PM; 2/16/22) at the Cambridge post office (770 Mass Ave.) to mail a certified letter with only one customer waiting in front of me. The only window that was open served a customer who had mostly questions one would expect her to ask to a travel agency. However, the friendly postal worker was (too) patiently trying to answer all her questions and even elaborating on them, no matter how long the line behind me grew. Every once in a while, another postal employee poked her head in, as even to awe at the inefficiency, before disappearing again into the back room. Finally, another employee, opened a second window to serve the regular (non-passport) customers. She closed it again right after she had helped me though because a colleague of hers took over for her.
My questions to the manager of this post office are:
> Where are you?
> Why do you tolerate such inefficiency from your team?
> Why does this post office handle passport applications when there is no other window open to deal with the regular mail business?
As a customer, I do not need post office employees to be chat buddies or travel agents, I need them to be efficient above anything else. As the manager, you are responsible for the performance (or lack thereof) of your team, even at the US Postal Service. I would appreciate if you improved the efficiency of your team and thereby were more respectful of my time, I spend at the post office. Thanks!
We have not had mail delivery for two days on Saville Street in Cambridge, MA.
We are worried about our mail person, Harj.

J'ai adressé un colis à mon fils le 11 décembre dernier. Il habite 40, Plymouth Street à CAMBRIDGE et n'a pas reçu le colis.
Le n° du colis est EK226923144FR. Le CBP pour les douanes américaines m'a informé que le paquet n'avait pas été traité par eux.
Ils estiment que le traçage, l'envoi et la livraison du colis est de la responsabilités d'USPS.

I just received a phone call from a mailwoman who contacted me about a package that had the wrong address. Her name is Dawn Lordan. She was fabulous & really went the extra mile. Thank you so much for having employees like her.

Hi I live in North Cambridge in the Rindge Towers. For some reason, several tenants, including myself stop receiving our mail. We don't even get the junk mail anymore. Is mail not being delivered to our building?
I need your help locating package sent abroad. According to tracking history, the item is being held. Addressee has not been notified and we don`t know where to go to collect the item. Thanks for your response.
