Do all your drivers come equipped with mace for spraying harmless animals? What a bunch of assholes.

It’s been over a month and nothing has been done regarding the situation where one of your employees maced the lab named Sam. The video is proof enough that your employee assaulted this animal and needs to be brought to justice! David, you said you would look into it and yet nothing has been done. On top of that Sam was issued a dangerous dog card??! Your driver needs to have their own dangerous card in that case. Shame on you and anyone that just let this abuse slide. I will spend the rest of my days making sure everyone knows about this!! Thank you David for truly caring only about your self and your abusive employee. I really hope you get everything in life that you deserve.

You need to take action against the driver who maced Sam the lab! As a dog trainer for a FD there was zero reason for her to mace that poor dog! The fact she is still on the same route is angering! That was dog abuse plain and simple. The dogs body language was completely friendly and she was in no danger from him! He was walking away when she maced him!

You need to seriously address the incident where Sam the dog was maced. We all saw the video! The dog was absolutely not a threat. The worker safe inside his vehicle when the dog approached. He had no reasonable basis to spray the dog. Even if he felt threatened, which CLEARLY the dog is not a threat, he could have simply waited until the owner approached, or merely left and had the owner pick it up at the post office. If he felt threatened, he would have put his window up. So, clearly he didn’t feel threatened. He had other options. There was no need to cause an innocent discomfort for absolutely no viable reason at all. To allow this worker to remain on the job and servicing that area is a huge liability. I don’t want to see anyone lose their job. However, he needs seriously reprimanded and removed from serving that area at the very least. To show that lack of disregard and to just attack the animal unjustifiably shows he probably just hates animals. I get that he couldn’t see all the dog’s behaviors like we can. However, the dog was not jumping in his window or all over his car. And he could have left. In this instance, I’m totally okay and would encourage him being fired. And the more you allow this to fester without any action…. You’re demonstrating to everyone that you don’t care about animals either. Not a good public image. Get rid of the employee who did it out of spite and purpose without cause. Remove the “threatening/dangerous dog” label from Sam. And do the right thing.

Fire the employee who maced the dog, this is absolutely devastating. USPS should be ASHAMED they allowed this employee to even finish their shift, never mind continue to work for them. Animal abuse. Disgusting. Sickos.

Absolutely disgusting that you would allow your employees to abuse and mace a dog. Watch the video. The dog was friendly. The mail person maces the dog from the inside of their vehicle. It’s ridiculous that the owner was issued a dangerous dog warning when your employee was the abuser. Shame on you!

Really? This is just shameful! You condone your employees macing animals when they’re safe in their vehicles!? If they truly felt unsafe because of an animal, they should have left and marked the package as undeliverable, but it was clear… this was an act of cruelty against a friendly pet dog who was on their own property. Please, don’t give this employee the opportunity to hurt any other pets. Thank god my mail carrier gives my dogs milk bones instead of a face full of mace!

You better uphold your employee to a higher standard. Mail carrier are supposed to be respectable people of the community and the actions held by one of yours doesn’t uphold those standards. If we have to resort to coming and getting mail because dogs with no signs of aggression can’t be out what is the importance of her job then? Fire her. Hold her accountable. Hold yourselves accountable. Video proof. This is one situation where no extra means needed to be taken.

This is why people hate government employees- you’re gonna protect that POS who maced a friendly dog on its own property. I hope life treats you the way you treat animals. That is so shameful.

Better fire that employee because we don’t condone animal abuse here in good old Kentucky.

Animal abuse!!! I hope the person who used mace on the friendly dog that was on its own property gets sued! They didn’t even exit the vehicle and were in ZERO danger! They were purposely trying to injure the dog with zero threat! That’s abuse…period. This should be dealt with swiftly! Unacceptable!!

How dare you mace a dog that was showing no aggression, had its back turned, macing a dog could kill it. If your divers are that afraid of pets maybe they need a different job. This is absolutely repulsive behavior from someone that is supposed to be serving the community.(which includes our pets)

This office has a known animal abuser working for them and they allow it. They have a very weak coward working for them who should actually be working from home maybe in his safe place playing with his barbie dolls.

To think as a federal worker for the people to go onto private owned property in which the driver did not exit the vehicle and to MACE a clearly friendly and curious dog for NO REASON. It’s a shame corporate hasn’t fired every single worker by now. They should all be investigated and that person needs to be charged and possibly more workers for not reporting it sooner to the proper authorities. I would hope the police are investigating

It’s a shame that they hire employees that feel entitled to only care about themselves. To think that a FEDERAL employee would even consider using mace on a dog that is on private property is a disgrace. They need to be terminated immediately, and be charged with a FELONY for what they’ve done. If that driver owns an animal they should also be forced to give that animal up, and should also never be allowed to own an animal again.

The person that sprayed an innocent dog should be maced in front of the town. Charge tickets to watch cause everyone would love to see it then give the money to an animal shelter.

I was absolutely disgusted that one of your employees THAT WORKS FOR US, the people, ABUSED an innocent animal. It is unacceptable for you to allow her to continue to work. This person has no regard for life and is clearly unfit. I suggest this company takes action now and holds that piece of garbage accountable.

I moved to my address 108 Terrace Dr., Mayfield, Ky 42066 in late August. I changed my mailing address. I am not getting much of my mail. Pieces of mail with my correct address is being returned. I contacted post office and was told they have my correct address. What can be done to correct this. This has been going on since well before the tornado hit.

I guess I know now what happened to all those sea monkeys that were abandoned when all of us kids grew up. They went to work for the Post Office. The dumbest ones apparently got sent to Mayfield. I could train rhesus monkeys to do better than this. You would think someone accidentally could do better then these people do on purpose. The service I get has gone from comedic to tragic. They're losing important items and correspondence and apparently the neighbors are real good about keeping lost mail even though they have no need I'm sure of items exclusive to my hobbies

Postmaster, retire or improve your service. I see comments here 3 months to a year old where phone service is always busy. Not possible. Ignoring calls is not providing service. - I filled out a change of address form almost a month ago. Wingo forwarded my mail to Mayfield, but no delivery as yet. This causes great problems for us. Postal carrier left a note for us asking who lives here. If he had checked our change of address form, he would know. He also put a sticker on the note that gave our address as Macedonia Church Rd. The street signs all say Macedonia St. or Macedonia Rd. A tree trimmer tried to come to us using his GPS and entered Macedonia Church Rd. It took him out into the county. I have an insurance check coming. If it goes to the wrong address............ Shape up your act.

Yes you need to get another telephone line! Everytime I try to call the phone is busy. As a resisdent of Graves county I find it sad that I get a notice about an INSIDE dog causing issues to my postal worker. My dog is not outside when he comes, he is never attacked this carrier or any carrier..but he does bark and act aggressive because he is protecting the house and me in it as he should. He is not some huge animal, but a 30lb three legged older dog. I also have a carne who weighs in at ten pounds and is equally aggressive. Perhaps it is her who sets the level of terror in my carriers heart? While I understand your concern about the well being of your workers, please show a little concern over the fact tht half the time my mail is crammed into my box, wet, or torn. If the cause of this hurried "jam and run" is due to my dog which is inside my house behind closed windows and doors, then might I suggest therapy for your worker to aleviate his fobias of biting dogs.
