I wanted to leave a message for my mail carrier about unable to get my package out. The operator put me on hold and then disconnected me. When I told him what I wanted to do, he said "That they usually don't do that." Then he put me on hold.

Sounds like they did everything right. I have no idea what your complaint is. You asked where your mail was, and they told you it was being forwarded. You said it was fraudulent, and they took you out of the forward system. They put the mail on hold for you to pick up and check your id. They can only hold mail for thirty days at a time except in limited circumstances. I have no idea what you reported or to whom. The fed, the incident, or the post office. Your sentence is too poorly constructed to tell. Every time you go to do business someone has lost a package that was mailed to the wrong address. You do know the post office does not mail packages to an address? The sender mails packages to addresses. So if there is a package mailed to the wrong address, it must be the sender’s fault. Another question is how would you know the details of so many other customers’ business? Lastly, any packages that were “missing” is purely anecdotal, the United States Postal Service in 2022, delivered 7.2 billion packages. There are bound to be mistakes made whether by senders, the delivery service, and customers. Any issues with packages you may or may not have experienced are an insignificant drop in the bucket compared to the vast number of packages delivered correctly and on time.

Amy Simpson our mail carrier is one of the best we’ve ever had. Hope she stays on our route for a long time.
