What is wrong at Carol Stream post office. Almost every month you are losing mail. My checkbook is almost impossible to figure out with almost two payments getting lost in your post office each month. In one case you returned a check ripped apart in your machinery, in another I received notice from Groot that they received enough of a ripped up check to process the payment. Now I have two checks written in early July that have not gotten through yet. Up until last year I never had checks lost. Now its a common occurrence

Package was sent on May 23rd. Last update from post office was also the 23rd. Package was supposed to be here on the 1st or 2nd of June. It is now the 30th. Have called USPS and apparently the tracking number doesn't even have a status on it yet. Where is my package?

I received a bill today that made me wonder so I checked the phone # and it is fraud - they include a Illinois Laboratory Medicine Associates with PO Box 5966 on your post office - I wonder if that is where the thieves collect the checks that get mail out to that location. I was trying to contact the post office but as everyone else here says - the phone never gets picked up.

Why does it take you so long to delivery mail to a PO Box? Letter was mailed on 07/09/21 to PO box, Carolstream, IL. It is a payment that was due today, 07/21/21. How hard is it to put the mail in a PO box? Also nobody answers your phone. One payment took 6 weeks for you to deliver to a PO box in Carolstream, IL. Rediculous!

Carol Stream is less than an hour from my house. My packages have been stuck at your facility since 12/9. I understand that Covid has presented difficulties, but the lack of communication on this is a bit surprising. I now will not have gifts for my family on Christmas, and because there was no communication on this I haven't had time to go out and buy something else. I was most pleasantly surprise upon receipt of a lost check sent in the mail of recent date. A note of apology for the delayed mailing was included in the envelope with the check. I was just getting ready to stop the check at the cost of $35 to my bank. Thank you for your honesty and quick response. I have renewed faith in the postal service people again. My package says it completed unloading at this location on November 27th. Ever since then it has been just sitting there. Today is the 16th of December! 19 days and still hasn’t moved?! How ridiculous! There is nothing I can do or my normal post office. I was told by the company I ordered from to wait until today to contact them again. Is this USPS a joke? What the hell is going on? I had ordered a package during thanksgiving and was 100% okay on waiting for my package since I know that times are hard. I wasn't upset that my package had been delayed a week and wanted to be considerate for the employees that are still working during covid. But here's the thing. While waiting for this package to leave Carol Stream, 3 of my items (one from the SAME order, just ran through a diff. location) has already gotten here. This one package that happened to go through Carol Stream has been sitting in the same damn spot for over a week now. The problem doesn't lie with USPS, but this damn town of Illinois. I have ordered packages from outside the country and am perfectly fine waiting the near 3 weeks estimated delivery. There should be no reason, that a package is at a location that is only 3 states away, to take this long to arrive. I assumed that this was a 'holiday' thing, where y'all get backed up as many people are sending out gifts, but from the other reviews, you people have been causing problems since the beginning of 2020, even to YEARS back. I hate to be a 'karen' about these minor problems, but this has been happening for years. There is no reason for this issue to not be addressed and fixed within this time span. When people wanted to help and save the USPS, clearly, they did not mean this location. What a let down.

Get it together over there, work smarter not harder.

On 9/15 I changed my address online because my P O in Carol Stream's entrance was under repair. I was charged $24.99 !! Please tell me what for. I am only moving across the hall in my apartment building.

My certified mail was routed through this office arrived 8:08 August 17th. It sat there for days and days. First they said it 'departed Carol Stream distribution center" August 22 (5 days later) Then on August 24 they send me notice it somehow miraculously departed from there again on August 24 5:07 (7 days later). Now end of August 25 (8 days later) it is in a mysterious 'in transit' limbo..... round and round. So no to those who posted poor service months earlier, things do not look getting better.

Received a letter from the Carol Stream Post Office that my letter was damaged during processing. My problem was that I was supposed to receive the damage letter in a plastic bag. All I got was the return address label. My other problem is the letter contained a personal check. Now I have no idea where the check is or if someone has the check and my checking account number. I tried calling the Carol Stream Post office and there was no answer and then a busy signal. The Post Office is so screwed up and now we are supposed to rely on the Post Office for getting mail in ballots for our Presidential election. Good luck with that. And the Democrats want to fix the Post Office in two months. Fat chance that's happening. A real unhappy customer. I give this service a -10 rating.

Out of just over 1,000 May 2020 diplomas ordered for our graduates, only three have not received theirs. ALL have Glendale Heights addresses, and we understand that Carol Stream coordinates their service and carriers. We dutifully provided our graduates their tracking numbers, and a few have invested hours of time that resulted in unclear answers, and no diploma. Lewis feels horrible, and will reorder, but we are not confident using USPS for delivery to Glendale Heights via Carol Stream. These are difficult times for us all, we just want you to know that this compromised service has taken away joy from our recent graduates who worked very hard for their degree.

No updates for days now, expected delivery dates missed, but somehow now I’ve had an additional package added to the list there that doesn’t correspond to any known tracking number that the shipper is aware of. This has to be the worst Post Office in America ... My package has sat at this post office since June 6th and today is Jun 21 ... Just what In the world do the supervisors do? Not supervise? I hate the union because of these issues. These workers don't do a damn thing for the public because they are union. I say shut the US postal service down because they lack the funds and want to raise the postal rates and bring in reliable people that are non-union and see the pride in work being done after the fact.

Package from Walmart sent out 4/2/20 arriving in Carol Stream on 4/9/20 and never moved forward from that point. When I checked the status it was marked "Delayed". Since this product was face mask, I believe it was stolen. I have filed a dispute with Walmart for no receipt of package.

I submitted a mail forward request Feb 25 from address in Glendale Heights to Lombard. I have informed delivery emails sent everyday. All my mail going to GH address shows up in the email but never shows up at the house in GH or Lombard. What can I do to pick up my mail? I have two checks Ive been waiting for since Feb. I have mail that needs a signature routinely not brought to my house or the carrier is (shy?) to knock on the door and get my signature. I am home pretty much all the time and relie on these packages. Like Pamela, I live on Cherokee Ct. where we have not had a regular carrier in years, and always get a sub. I live on Mohawk Dr in Carol Stream and I am getting tired of getting my neighbors mail and then having to go to my other neighbors house to get mine. FIX THE PROBLEM! I just wanted someone to know and be thanked for returning a blank personal check to me. it somehow got mixed up with my outgoing mail. I sent certified letter from Buffalo Grove to IL department of revenue. Springfield 03-27-18 in the morning. It was delivered to Carol Stream PO Distribution center the same date. The last tracking date of 03-30-18 notes "The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected day..." Today is 04-09-18 and it is still the same. I tried to call many times but failed. It is horrible post office service in our country: no responsibility but great salary. They live on our taxpayers money and humiliate us. I wish that post office become not Government one but private business like FedEx.

I accidentally dropped my "checking deposit" in a mail box in a business envelope 11/18/17. I called my post office here in Chicago and was informed it would be returned to my business address. Needless to say after a month I lost confidence and was very skeptical of it being returned. However, yesterday 1/4/18 a sealed enveloped arrived from the Carol Stream Post Office with my deposit of checks and the $600 CASH. I want to say "Thank You" to the postal workers that are involved in the returning of mail. My faith has been restored in the Post Office and its EMPLOYEES! THANK YOU!!!!

We have experienced very slow, unmotivated employees working at this location for many years now. They don't seem to want to move very much, so stand there talking to each other and very slow reactions for everything! We have had mail lost, delivered to neighbors, with one new neighbor stealing an item bought online too. Today, we had a mail carrier run out of his truck and dropped a white colored item into our mailbox, after opening it, we received a high valued check that was sent in a secure envelope where you have to tear off the side and top strip in order to open the check. This check was completely TORN OPEN in half from the top, so very bad service to say the least! Who is running these machines and WHY would the carrier simply drop this lightweight half envelope into our box, without any plastic bag or label/message on it? Did he think this was an actual piece of mail that we could use somehow? wow.. We have called with complaints over the years, but, don't seem to get much concern or true responses, very nonchalant about it all.. Someone needs to read these complaints and find employees who truly want to work, because these people look like they would rather be taking a nap! ridiculous!

Mailed 30 innocent old photos to my best friends daughter of her mother and I growing up together for a surprise birthday party collage. I have no negatives or copies as photos were over 30 years old. Envelope arrived in Elgin through Carol Stream sorting center slit open with contents removed. Shameful that postal workers open mail hopeful of profiting- is it any wonder we have lost faith in the USPS. I filed a complaint and was told by supervisor chances of recovery are 0.

My cable autopay went to PO BOX 4050 instead of 4053, even though it was addressed to the cable company. Whoever got it cashed it and now I have to pay it again or my services will be disconnected. Hopefully my bank will find out what happened.

I scheduled a pick up at my home. That went off without a hitch.....or so I thought. My return for a refund has not reached its destination.....isn't that a felony? Oh, silly me....I forgot....our government
hasn't a smidgen of such activity!

The public complains about GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES, and I just found out why!!! An employee by the name of Cory was one of the most rudest people that I ever spoke to on a phone. He needs to get a job in a cave where he does not speak to people. Not only did he not help me, but he also passed the buck & sent me to the front counter where they let it ring for 8 times, then picked up the phone only to hang it up!!! I have visited the Carol Stream Post office many times and their people are always complaining to one another about their job & supervisors as well as how hard the work. Which is strange because turtles move faster than they do. Maybe someone should teach them Customer Service or have them leave their position if they are ALL that unhappy. Very Very Dis-satisfied but S.O.L. because we are stuck with them because they can't get fired.... SAD....

I'm finding the same thing. No one answers the phone. The employees have ATTITUDE. One number rings once and then cuts off. We haven't gotten mail in 3 days and nor is our outgoing mail that is in there going anywhere. therefore we are going to have bills that need to be paid
that are going to be late. And it's all because the lock is jammed (I live in a condo, so it's a multiple-unit mailbox). When I pushed for an eta on when the repair would be made, a supervisor actually did this to me: he transferred me back to the receptionist, who he knows full well would not have the answer! He has to put in the work order. So in other words, when he didn't want to deal with me, he dumped my call. Playing games!

They do a great job to me, I like them.

The last time I was there, the worker was very friendly and polite!!

I haven't received mail in two days, the operator is extremely rude, and the numbers I'm transferred to just keep ringing and ringing. Is there anyone I can speak to that will actually give me answers?

All the workers here are very rude and need to be fired NOW!
